I’ve such a hard time bridging the creativity gap, on paper I can define what I want to do but putting that into practice is so scary and daunting but I love your editing video it makes me feel I can do this.
My dear young Brook. I've missed your postings over the past year because of life's distractions but I came across this one today because it popped up on my open page. I'm so happy. You are and have been such an inspiration to me and have made me feel so differently about my work as a photographer. You are so passionate about what you do and fearlessly approach your own vision. I hope to involve that painterly ingredient in my work someday. As I gain more Photoshop experience I'm hoping to do just that. So glad to see you again. I'll be around. FL
Brooke Thank you for your passion to create. You became your own model because you didn't like dealing with other people. Well, I have the same issues but I hate to be photographed also. So I tended to be a nature photographer but now I have health issues which have stopped me from doing Photography in many years. I truly enjoy your white wall Wednesdays and wanting to start to create something new that my health issues are limiting me to rethink how I can create photographs with my limitations. I do love fine art, surreal, dark, and macabre Photography but I never really tried to create it myself but with your videos and help, I'm wanting to give it a try. I have some already had some textures but thank you for sharing yours. I downloaded all of your texture pack
I really like the painterly look of your finished images. My 'painting' is poetry, so shaping words. I've been procrastinating on creating images to go with them, so when I see your videos I'm reminded to not focus on the need to make images to go with the words but just enjoy the creation and the moment. Kia Ora - Thank you.
Brooke you are amazing! so grateful for everything you do! I hope you will release from time to time more detailed editing tutorials like this one - I do struggle with the technical side of compositing so your help is huuuge for me :) happy Monday!

Your work and videos are amazing! Greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹
Fascinating tutorial which helped me to look at my imagination driven compositing in a different way. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your processing. Ray
Thank you so much for posting this! I love your editing style, but have always been so intimidated to try. I have an idea in mind and this gave me more of a push to try it out sooner rather than later. Thank you for your inspiration!
Brooke, thank you for this lesson , even tho way over my capabilities atm. This will really help. Im taking ps/lr classes since I've figured out where my weakness is after watching a few of your classes on CreateLive. For the shooting technical part I also got some of Lindays classes, but yours, I had to brush up on some techniques b.4 continuing. Cant wait to get back to it, this helped ALLOT! You are a very dear inspiration to me. Thank you for just being you! (Love that work station you have!)
wow how inspireing. I found you from fallowing Christina Mettimier on Instagram! thank you for sharing your passion! I would sign up for the women in photography grant but I am so so beginner it might be more worth it for someone a little deeper in there passion! maybe if there is another year 😊 excited to fallow you! .
I love your work! I have noticed that you always work in a 1 to 1 ratio for your art. Is there a reason you choose squares? Thank you for your time, Brooke.
Thank you and I think you are right. Also, I think it lends itself to balance so that you can focus on the subject in the 1 to 1 ratio. If you don't mind me saying so. :)
Brooke - your work is just so emotive. Fingers crossed that you might come and run a workshop in the UK some time 🙏

this is so inspiring! i wish to become a conceptual artist like u are!
Hi Brooke! This image is gorgeous. Did you get the scratch marks from a stock image as well??
THANK YOU BROOK!!!
I love your work! I have noticed that you always work in a 1 to 1 ratio for your art. Is there a reason you choose squares? Thank you for your time, Brooke.
Thank you! I do love squares - for me, it takes away the photographic ratio and lets them feel a bit more like a painting :)
Thank you and I think you are right. Also, I think it lends itself to balance so that you can focus on the subject in the 1 to 1 ratio. If you don't mind me saying so. :)
How did you make the scratch marks?
u r really creative
And you have 40k subs? how?! You should have way more!
Wow, amazing amage!
❤️u Book your education is great
How did you make the scratches? I wish you had shown that part as well even if it was quickly
I am sure she added one of those textures she gives away on her page. I have watched her do that on other edits.
Shoot Em Up Photography. Thank you beautiful
Creepiness as it is ;) follow
I love you
❤❤
Way too fast too follow. Not nearly as good as your other tutorials/videos.
