Great video with a great product. The RV industry needs more companies like SDG and Kevin to continue to push the envelope and bring best of breed technology to the RV industry. Brandon keep on bringing these videos to the community and sooner or later the manufacturers will catch on that changes are needed. Thanks
So, I'm almost sad that my Dometic Penguin failed within its 2-year warranty. I'll just have to wait until it fails again to get an upgrade like this or Truma. Having a heat pump that works efficiently at lower temps is a big bonus.
There actually is not a soft start box in the Atmos 4.4. It was designed from the beginning to not have a huge start current surge. It has a variable speed compressor and it starts slowly. I have a 2000W inverter and two dragonfly 100A lithium. The Atmos ran for 3.5 hours before the low voltage shut down the inverter
this is exactly what i a looking for. I have 16RB Bambi 2021 and the A/C unit is so loud that it gives me a headache. The unit still works but I have to replace it. Thanks for this video
@user-ey1mo5oe5x , thank you for the infomation... I will definitely look into the specs and compare.. Looking to purchase a unit to replace the dometic.
Gree manufacturers this unit as well as the unit branded Tosot. Premier Products is the exclusive U.S. distributor for the Gree eco-cool unit. The Gree eco-cool has a 2 year warranty. I haven't seen warranty information for the Atmos or Tosot units.
I don't understand why 1000 w is so amazing. My 15K Colman Mach ac only uses a 1KW when it is running. In fact I have two and I can start and run both on a 20 amp breaker, no soft start but should probably add one, as long as the extension cord to house is not to log so the voltage doesn't drop to much. Granted I can't run the microwave or water heater but knocking down to one ac to do that is no problem. Would like the heat pump and the quietness.
It isn't clear - in one place he says the Wonder units are controlled on the face of the plenum. Later the remotes are shown, but doesn't specifically state for Unity and Wonder or just Unity?
Since I have an Atmos, I can answer this. The remote control is standard as well as a phone app. Any installation that is a "direct dump" like the LTV Wonder's uses the plenum you saw behind Kevin in the video. This plenum has control buttons, LED indicators, and a temperature display on it and can control the unit. On "ducted" systems like on the LTV Unity's, the new plenum with the buttons is not used, the original duct system is used for air distribution. There is also an optional wall thermostat that can be installed that has a touch screen and displays the temperature and set point and can control all aspects of the Atmos. The wall thermostat also has a phone app. I have used the phone app to turn on the A/C and set the temperature from the other side of a campground I was in. In theory from anywhere in the world.
From the RV mfr side - the ac provider has to have enough capacity to meet all the RV mfr needs annually and be able to sell to others. Atmos may not be at the high production level yet.

It’s interesting how long it takes OEMs to catch up to the times.

For sure!

Nice!
I’d like to know how the ac works with the generator on auto start
Good question. Will ask
Great video Brandon! Our Dometic roof rumbler could sure use a replacement. Thank you for putting this out there.
The Atmos looks like a winner

I think it would be perfect for a Bambi.
Good video and thank you.
Thanks! It’s quite a product
@@PagosaI’m signed up…Im 3.5 hours away from Elkhart…who doesnt love an upgrade.
Is this unit similiar or a rebrand of the Gree RV AC unit. I believe the Gree units are bring offered by Premier Products.
It is similar to the Gree, but the Atmos uses a different refrigerant and takes less current. You have to look at the specifications closely.
@user-ey1mo5oe5x , thank you for the infomation...

The gree uses the same r32 refrigerant. I bet it's a gree rebranded

Most RV air conditioners produce 14 amps or more, and spike over 20 on startup without a soft start.
Great video, looks like I need to convince my wife we need to replace our noisy Wonder A/C unit.
Hardest part of RVing is convincing the Mrs on all the upgrades!

Do these work on Sprinter based rv’s like Winnebago Navion?
Absolutely
Ok so where to buy do not see them on the net.

Need a guest password. I guess ya have to order the old way call
The real question is when will he be selling to the LTV and Winnebago's of the world? Why would anyone buy a new RV without a quite air conditioner?
The manufacturers seem to enjoy being behind the curve

@@dking4883 yes most likely. And being a boutique shop, may or may not be able to support customers in the long run.
