Thanks for the wonderful video! I really like the idea using abstract designs. I’d bet painting on a Gelli Plate would be useful, that’s how I create abstract designs prints on specialty papers. How would you transfer this to a glass jar? Could you transfer the painted image to parchment or other paper, tape it to the jar, then wrap in sublimation shrink wrap film? Does the glass jar need to be specially prepped? Could you paint on the jar directly?
Hi Marie! I have used gelli plates with Artesprix inks, markers, and paints and they worked very well with all. If you want to sublimate onto a glass jar, it does need to have a polyester coating on it to accept the sublimation ink. As long as you have a sublimation-ready jar, you can transfer the design exactly as you mentioned - tape it onto the jar, wrap the jar in sublimation shrink wrap, and then use a convection oven to sublimate. (You can also use a mug press if you have the right size to fit your jar.) Hope this helps! If you have any more questions, let me know.
Yes, you can! Just be sure to use adequate blowout/protective paper. I find that transfers made with the paint are very ink-heavy. I'd love to see what you come up with!!!
Yes, you can certainly add it directly to the cardstock! The plastic wrap was just a simple way to do it for those of us who aren't as skilled with creating effects like that with a paintbrush ;)
Looks great. I’m thinking of using the idea for guitar pick guards.
Ohhhh that would be cool! I’d love to see how they turn out.

Great video @CaughtByDesign! The colors were amazing. Wonder if parchment paper would work since cliing wrap and I aren't freinds! LOL
It might work, but the cling wrap has more flexibility. If you try parchment paper, let me know!!!
beautiful..wondering if I can do this with mugs? just cut the paper to the size of the mug, wrap around and put in the mug press?

great thank you..would butcher paper suffice?@@CaughtbyDesign
@@StephanieGagos - butcher paper works great!!!
Can I pay you to make a specific video for fonts with offsets in detail?
Feel free to contact me via my website with any ideas for tutorial videos!
Just found out about this paint. I am a bit confused - why the cling film? Can I not just do matble effect direct to the cardstock ?
