I hate when people are like ''typical mare''. In my 20 years of being around and owning horses from stallions to mares and geldings, I've NEVER met a ''stereotypical mare''. Not once have I met a mare that bit, pinned her ears or kicked at humans just because. Our pony mare often pins her ears at other horses (then again she's the lead mare of our small herd) but never has she done this with humans.
I have a chestnut mare, and she has sass like no other all year round lol. Not sure if its a chestnut mare thing, or if shes just got a lotta spunk. Either way i love her to bits ❤
@@Calypso3011 We used to have a chestnut mare. Sweetest girl ever 😂When I was a baby my dad would put me on her back (and hold me) while my mom was leading the horse a few steps
We had a mare that was a bit grumpy, but she was really nice to humans but would pin her ears at other horses. She was very ticklish sometimes se would pin her ears if she didn’t want to be brushed in certain places
4:22 - He's most likely learned it from what most people in India call Rawal, which is an unnatural gait they implement in Marwari horses at a VERY young age.. usually used for racing but they usually use the gait/teach the gait the same as charro riders. ( P.S a lot of people who own horses in India do not know that they are abusing their horses and think their cruel practices/ riding styles are either normal or okay to do. not saying that everyone who abuses horses there don't know what their doing either )
New sub I really like your vibe and the fact that you explain what exactly is going wrong in these videos and how it is affecting the horse cause it really helps me understand it a lot better. 💜🤟
2:49 - This takes me back to quite some years ago where... uh, I broke my foot. Long story short about the broken foot, a different mare in question had stood on it a week prior and I was already walking on weakened bones. I stepped on a part of the yard that wasn't even and felt an almighty snap in my foot. This happened when I'd taken it on myself to see to a mare I used to ride a lot when I was learning. She was actually super sweet and gentle to ride, however, she absolutely hated being clipped and would have to be heavily sedated to clip her and she'd need this done several times over the winter. This year they'd decided not to bother, and sadly she wasn't getting groomed well enough either. Someone said how unlike her it was to be sour to ride. Yeah, no shit, she had quite nasty matting in the girth area and behind her elbows. I had to use a mix of water and scissors to split the mats and cut them away and release the tension on her skin. She absolutely tried to kick me a couple of times during this which was really out of character for her. I honestly wondered how no one had thought to sort it out before I did..... well I did what I could until my foot snapped. The mare was good enough to be my crutch since I was alone and was like 'yeah I need to go to hospital.'
1:35 I disagree here. Im friends with multiple barrel racers, and my mother & aunt both did it. They didnt just “run around in circles all day”. Barrel horses have as much energy as your typical showjumper. My OTTB was far crazier than any barrel horse ive met
this video help me to practise english, well i dont know anithing about hourses, but in these video, i learn that flooding is somting like scary a hourse to teach him someting another thing was show a rideing, that was from mexico and show how a hourse dance and is very cruelty, well, tanks for de video, i will be gratefull if someone correct me if i make a mistake
I get where you're coming from with the "Everyone runs their barrel horse in circles" but not everyone does. I have a barrel horse, and I jump her, use her for cutting and roping. So no, not everyone runs their barrel horse in circles. Other than that, I basically agree with everything else.
The gray arabian isnt inbred, the only thing wrong about his head/face is that its pretty thin, arabian faces are supposed to be pretty thick, the bay one is extremely inbred, the gray one's saddle is wayy too far up and looks to be a bit under weight.
1:05 To be honest I wouldn't say he's way too big but it's also hard to tell with the horse jumping around so much. With everything else I agree though 😅Poor horse. I'm 5'4 and ride a 14.2 hands tall pony. My legs look a bit long when I ride him bareback but it looks perfectly fine with a saddle or pad. I'm nowhere near too heavy and on picture I've seen of me riding him I'd say it looks perfect based on proportions. It always depends on the individual rider and horse though. A lot of people are just too used to seeing normal sized people on massive horses that it looks odd when you see an adult riding a smaller horse or pony, even though it's perfectly fine. (I'm not trying to criticize you, just simply stating my opinion.) :)
@@mercieallenThe first one is completely fine, i think that was the horses first ride so it was a trash saddle, im not saying i agree w all of these AT ALL. just saying there were a few where it was completely fine.
