But sometimes teams do indicate how good they are during preseason. That can also happen. But how to determine that is tough. I just know Arsenal last season were dominant in preseason and carried it into the real season. Never know

Just a guess but u wouldn't go all out for the first game especially after not playing football too much I did that once a player got passed me my team mates said let it go just a friendly I didn't listen I sprinted to catch up and boom tor my hamstring,my season done maybe that's the reason we don't really see any recovery challanges

He wasn’t awful though was he? He had quite a few good games. The problem last season was we never had a consistent lineup. Wingers were constantly changing, midfield constantly changing and defence constantly changing. Kuhn was okay last season, not great. He was also struggling having not had a preseason and joined in January.

Our defence was too open, and none of our good players were playing. We played well in attack but the defence made us lose the game. That left back was always out of position. It felt like we were more aggressive in attack which i like because i dont want to see a boring tactic. But haaland was class this game,he's trying to dribble more. I hope he continues this to ameliorate his dribbling

Not really as passive as some of City's youngsters were at least. The amount of times they just left the runners and put their hands up for a hopeful offside was ridiculous, I know they are inexperienced and the conditions were humid and Celtic were more match fit but Pep wont buy any of that as an excuse. You can be beat on your 1vs1s but you have to give your max effort, Pep will read players giving up on things a mile off.
One of the best football matches ive watched in a long time... even if it was just a friendly. I really wish these two teams would play against one another more often. High quality football. So much more interesting than watching these two awesome teams play against rubbish teams in their farmers leagues. Fortunately we get to see them compete with good quality opponents in the UCL.

So much more interesting than watching these two awesome teams play against rubbish teams in their farmers leagues. Fortunately we get to see them compete with good quality opponents in the UCL.
