Well the congress said they will give Rs. 1 lakh to each household and this would eradicate poverty from India in one go.
On the other hand BJP promised free and subsidised ration to poor household.
To those who think the 1st option is better, need to go back to their economics classes and understand why giving every person Rs.1 Lakh will not solve any challenge but will definitely shoot up inflation.
Lack of economic Prudence by Congress is the reason why i vote for BJP. Capitalism is yhe solution to poverty not untargeted freebies.

Govt simply channels this produce purchased from farmers to poor for free. This is a functional ecosystem which serves multiple purposes at once. Hence can be allowed.
But even then the ultimate aim of any govt. must be to empower people and reduce their dependence on state in the longer run.

@@BC-du5hm I agree but he is also talking about capitalism and bringing more companies to India which can generate more wealth and also GST is collected by central government. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi is talking about socialism n not friendly to big companies. If he will removes GST, then the central government won’t even have enough funds to pay for feeebies. You cannot remove poverty by giving Rs 1 lakh to every household every year! The government needs to provide employment opportunities by welcoming more big companies who can give job to uneducated n lower educated workers who can earn their own living! How long can you keep giving them money to stay out of poverty? India will go bankrupt! They need to earn money n the government must help with that. Till such opportunities are provided, government can give them free food n water as they are basic necessities. Free bus rides etc are unnecessary expenditure for a developing country where that money needs to be spent on infrastructure!

As a liberal from India and a staunch supporter of the Chief Minister of Manipur, I am happy to have a leader like Prime Minister Modi. Nobody's perfect but he's a charismatic statesman who has steered my country towards unprecedented progress, uplifting masses from poverty and connecting villages with digital highways. In my state, I haven't met anyone without a toilet and basic services like WiFi are really cheap. Believe it or not, OPD services in Government hospitals starts at 10 rupees (0.098£) and admission with 3 basic meals/day requires only 50 Rupees(0.49£). Doing this for a growing population of 1.4 Billion is no easy task. I encourage my fellow citizens to cast their vote to the BJP.
