Not really a spoiler but the original script called for Clementine and AJ to be killed off in this episode which is likely why the next series doesn't focus on them as much.
@@UsrNmTknCut content and developer commentary. If I recall, the original ending had Clementine end up alone with AJ. The player would witness a scene where Clementine is endlessly walking inside the snow storm, carrying AJ in her arms. As you’re walking forward, without anywhere to go, the screen would fade in and out showing you that she’s in hypothermia and exhausted from carrying AJ until she eventually just collapses to the ground, completely unable to continue. Then, she would look up and see a dim light in the distance. At that point, the game would have given you the choice to leave AJ behind and head for the light, or keep carrying AJ. Trying to carry AJ to the light would result in both of them dying while heading for the light without AJ would have allowed Clementine to survive. They don’t explain how she survives, but one can assume the light she saw in the distance was a settlement or something similar.
Spoiler alert about Jane and Clem faith... If you went with Jane you will get back to Carver's camp and live there for some time then Jane will find out that she's pregnant of Luke's baby and decide to suside 'hang her self' and then Clementine will continue alone with AJ .
The funny thing about Kenny is that I hated him in my season 1 playthrough... the moment he shows up this season I instantly loved him. It's that whole thing about preferring the familiar to the unknown. Kenny was an asshole, but he was MY asshole.
Personally, I think you got the best ending! There are 5 different endings (or 7, depending on how you count); if you go with Jane, you end up back at Howe's (Carver's place)
Glad Quinn had some fun with the dialogue choices & picking different, like with the cookie line. Jane was trying to show Clem what Kenny was capable of BUT Clem saw the Kenny before he lost duck so she already knows he's not a bad man or a bad father.
Damn perfect timing, I literally just got on to check and see if you guys had uploaded! Love listening to/watching these at work. Makes the time pass quicker.
When this episode first came out, there was actually a choice for Clementine to SHOOT Mike when they were trying to leave. The choice was later taken out of the game after a few days.
Fun fact: in the original script, Clementine and AJ were going to die. Out of all the seasons in this series, season 2 has probably had some of the most script changes. TellTale apparently didn't have be any intention of making another Walking Dead game and the original script was gonna be very dark. The fifth episode was called Better to Sleep and would end with Clementine alone with AJ stuck in a blizzard. The final decision you'd have to make is to either accept your fate and lie down with AJ or abandon AJ and try to push on to the nearest town. Either choice results in Clementine and AJ dying of hypothermia. There's a channel called InColdBlood that goes more in depth of all the cut content for season 2. It's actually pretty interesting.
BTW this episode was originally going to be A LOT different. in the end it was actually supposed to be Luke vs Kenny, not Jane vs Kenny. The reason they changed this is because some weird people in the community were.. shipping Luke and clem.. so they decided it would be better to kill him of to not fulfill those people's fantasies. And you could see hints of this being the case throughout the season. Like how in episode 2 you had to choose to sit next to Luke or Kenny, and in episode 3 where Luke and Kenny were fighting about the escape plan. And they also changed the ending. Episode 5 was originally called: "better to sleep" and instead of going with whoever you saved in the end, the person you saved would be too injured to walk and clem had to go alone with AJ, Clem sees a city in the distance and walks over to it in the cold, while walking it gets increasingly hard for clem to hold AJ in the freezing cold and she sits near wall to rest, after she sits you have to choose whether to leave AJ on the ground for a chance for clem to survive, or you could choose to die together with AJ from hypothermia. Yeahhh I'm glad they changed the ending
After being pulled out of the water, Clem’s first words were “help Luke”. That shows that she cared more about Luke than herself. It shows you she’s a good person. It’s one of the reasons she’s my favorite character in the whole franchise. That, and she’s a badass little girl.
See this is why I love badd medicine. You guys are the only RUclipsrs who understand the whole Jane and the baby thing. Everyone else kills Kenny and I never understand why. Jane set it up just to kill Kenny. So wrong. Love you guys
I was impressed how quickly they picked up on and understood Jane had set it all up. It's kind of crazy how many people believe Kenny is bad and Jane is good and believe they are right. The game objectively tells you which is better. You still get your choice as the player and as the game works, of course, but all the information is laid out for you to understand which is better for Clementine's well-being.
i think it helps they’re a similar demographic as Kenny and seemingly have children; they sympathize better with him vs Jane. i think that’s why they were so quick to support Kenny and see through Jane
Jane set it up to show you who Kenny truly is. He went to murder her and he didn't even know etf happened. A walker could have gotten the baby for all we know. he didn't even let he explain and went to kill her. I feel crazy reading all these comments. Kenny is a hothead murderer.
@@LyricSnowe You misunderstood the events. Jane planned the whole thing. There was time for her to explain. She chose to be cryptic and not explain. Kenny has anger and violence issues. Jane is manipulative and dangerous. She only cares about herself and decided she wanted Clementine to care about her and be with her. She put a baby in a dangerous situation so she could get Kenny angry enough to attack her. Then she could kill him and act like she's the victim. During the fight, she escalates it with a weapon. Kenny never murdered anyone. Everything he did was to protect. The game is trying to trick you to side with her and believe her to then reveal who she is, a bad person. Put another way, you aren't allowed to plan and execute a situation to enrage someone so you will have an excuse to kill them once they attack you. That's called premeditated murder. In a zombie apocalypse, that's called being a bad person. The other person in that situation, if they ended up killing the person they attacked who incited the incident in the first place, would get manslaughter at best. It only happened since in the heat of the moment they lost their ability to be rational as a result of the other person's intentional actions. In a zombie apocalypse, that's called making a mistake.
By the way, Oak is absolutely right at the end about how everybody else acts. As broken as Kenny is, he is genuinely loyal and genuinely loves both of those kids. If y’all ever get the chance to when y’all are done playing The Walking Dead season three take a look at what would’ve happened. I’m not saying change your choices at all, don’t, But take a peek at other peoples choices
The way kenny IMMEDIATELY without missing a beat asked the lady to take the kids always broke me man. This game isnt perfect but they sure as hell wrote kenny well
I knew she was lying because of what she said to Clem. I would've picked Kenny too. She ditches when things get to hard and while Kenny is a hothead, I don't think there would ever be a situation where he would hurt or trade off the kids. He has his reasons to act the way he does. And Jane set up a "test" where she "killed" AJ, which was ridiculously stupid.
Jane actually _was_ looking out for Clem. She could’ve just left again after seeing how bad Kenny was getting, but instead, she chose to try and show Clem *why* she shouldn’t stay with him by tricking him into thinking AJ was dead. I don’t approve of what she did, but she _was_ looking out for Clem, just like Kenny.
Thank You...Most ppl would have jumped a bridge after going through what he's gone through ..What kills me is ppl act as if Kenny is over reacting when he thinks the baby is dead. Like how TF would u react..
I understand wanting to help him, and I can also understand thinking that nobody in their _right mind_ would shoot a little kid, but after all the shit Arvo went through, why would you trust him to NOT do something crazy? Smh 😔
@@HolaEspinela Idk, I don’t think Mike was thinking straight at that point I think he was always trying to come off as a good doer but didn’t know how to come about it
1:41:41 No, Mason, she didn’t want Clementine to do it. She specifically told Clementine, no matter what happens, to *stay out of it* before the fight even started.
When you guys finally get to the start of Clem in the future, you should def check out how each story line goes if you go with Jane and if you go with Kenny. Each of those are very different.
Kenny has had too many bad things happen to him and he's nothing like Carver. I like Jane but I wish she would've stayed away so I didn't have to watch anything bad happen to her. Great playthrough fellas
SPOILERS FOR SEASON 3. Depending on who you side with at the end, you get to see who was truly selfless in the intro of season 3. (These scenarios happen if you choose not to enter Wellington.) Now neither Kenny nor Jane live long in the next season due to setting up the new storyline, but Kenny dies in a car accident trying to teach Clem to drive, and Jane… hangs herself. Jane is garbage. You picked the best ending.
Simply put, I think about Kenny and Jane and this is what pops into my head if either was in my group. If it came down to me or Jane surviving, Jane chooses herself every time. If it came down to me or Kenny surviving, Kenny chooses me every time.
There are 5 endings to this game, the two endings with Kenny (Clem staying at Wellington or Clem going with Kenny), the ending with Jane (Clem goes back to Carver's place and there, a family approaches the place, you can either let them stay or not, so that makes two more endings) or you could end up alone with AJ.
Honestly you got the best ending as hit headed as Kenny is he is a good man deep down. Jane is manipulative and vile leaving a baby to die what was she expecting Kenny to do when the one thing he loved died again. You should react to the other endings there are 5 total
They would be living comfortable at Walter's Ski Lodge if Nick didn't shoot Matthew and if Bonnie didn't betray Walter by telling Carver where the Ski Lodge was located. They also could have taken over Howe's Warehouse after killing Carver and Troy as only a few henchmen were left on the roof and they could've had years worth of food and water and electricity.
Thank GOODNESS you looked away. When my fiancé and I co-played this the first time, he had the controller and did the EXACT OPPOSITE and I was like wtf why would you do that. Made him replay it and made the right choice 😅 great play through!! Was anxiously waiting for this episode Edit: The very end had me SOBBING. I forgot how emotional that conversation was
I got the same ending, the reason I couldn’t kill Kenny also is because Kenny is exactly like my grandpa in looks and personality. I mean an exact replica, redneck l, beer, belly, T-shirt, and baseball cap.. too the t. And I felt like I was Clem. It felt so real for me bc I feel like if my grandpa said to me to stay at Wellington I would’ve stayed bc ik he wants what’s best for me. When I first played this when I was 13 I cried hard. Bc I felt so heartbroken thinking if I was actually in this situation. It would hurt so badly to leave my grandpa behind.
We don't know that. I'd rather see Kenny with Clem and AJ have more time together which also gives him the chance to witness them grow together even for just a short period of time
@@el-ul8ky they way they wrote that was too rushed and out of the blue I'd rather we not know his fate so if season 5 ever happens then this ending is the only path to him returning alive
You guys HAVE to play Life is Strange 1 and 2 next (1 is most popular but 2 is a personal favourite of mine so I’ll be bummed if you skip it). If you like story-based games like this, it’s one of the best out there.
Season 3 is both the best and the worst season. It is the best season because the choices actually matter. Most of the characters are determinant so you as the player have a lot of control over who lives and who dies. But, in terms of gameplay it is the worst. While the first two games really weren't about the gameplay, they at least had some action scenes. In season 3 there are very few scenes were you actually have to aim at things. The action scenes just consist of pressing a button when prompted. Which is a huge downgrade.
Jane is a pretty terrible person a lot of the time. She ditched the group because she didn’t want to get attached then returns and talks crap. Then she intentionally sets off Kenny knowing he would be angry and puts the baby at risk. Kenny was right about her caring about herself. That’s even more apparent if you chose her not only in the end of this one but in flashbacks later on. Kenny has a temper but his anger comes from love. He wants to protect the people he considers family and he will do whatever is necessary to save them. He wanted Clem and Alvin to have a chance to grow up. Kenny was very selfless as the games went on. I think your ending is the best. Kenny lives and the kids are in a safe place. This ending actually used to make me tear up a bit because you can see just how much Kenny cares about the kids. The next game isn’t really about Clem but I still like it I think it also has a few references to things from the show.
I just finished watching a full run through of seasons 3 and 4 in preparation for when yall start. I’ve never seen past season 2 and holy fuck. This game… this story… it gets SO INTENSE. I can’t wait for yall to start season 3
Kenny is such a flawed character almost to the extent of being downright abusive, but I don’t think he deserves death. But I also don’t think Clementine should stay with him either. With this ending, you leave his character on a high note, and he has room to improve from now on after making a sacrifice for the people he cared most about.
He never was physically abusive but he knew how to start fights whenever he was in a group and was really irrational when it came to landing on decisions, but after that, he was probably the most loyal person out of both seasons, besides Lee obviously, I agree leaving him is probably the best option, but after watching the Kenny flashbacks, it seems like Clem has happiest with him and AJ for those 2 years, it seemed like they were a loving family at least in the season 3 ep 4 flashback
@@mekareactsandreviews3026 Sure if he’s loyal to you. If he isn’t, you could be one of the most genuine kind hearted people like Luke was and still get shit from Kenny because of Arbitrary bullshit.
It doesn’t end with going to Wellington if you go with Jane. What happens with Clem from here, in season 3, is different depending on your choice at the end of this episode.
Originally Jane was going to be strangling Kenny and the choice was going to be shoot Jane or look away,Kenny’s VA said telltale changed it because during player testing more people were choosing to shoot Jane,so they changed it to even the odds and make the choice feel more difficult
As someone who picked Jane. I felt that it was Kenny’s time to go. All of his loved ones died and it was definitely affecting his mental state, so I thought it was best that he was at peace and with his family. Also while Jane does tend to be a lone wolf, she did also come to view Clem as a sister and I thought they’d make a good little group seeing as Jane was probably the most equipped to survive.
So for Jane's ending you end up going back to Howe's and clearing it out with Jane. There while getting rid of the bodies you find Carver's body, (which reveals how badly Kenny beat him if you didn't stick around for that scene), and a family shows up asking for you to let them in. You can choose to let them in or turn them away, and then the game ends shortly after that decision. Also, for season 3 you can completely skip it if you want. S3 does reveal what happens to Jane or Kenny (depending on the ending you got in S2) during some flashbacks during the season, but season 3 doesn't have any affect on the final season, nor is it affected much by the choices you made in season 2. Season 3 also, to most, feels more like the show (and not in a good way) and not many players really like season 3. Personally I liked the season, (I have my critiques though) but it feels out of place when compared to seasons 1, 2, and 4. It's a good stand-alone story that didn't really need to be connected to Clementine's journey. You guys might like it a lot though.
Yes, Kenny was flawed and broken, but I cared for the children. I wouldn’t wanna be with somebody who uses manipulation to get what they want. I stayed with Kenny and AJ. Fabulous season 2. I am very interested in your choices and reaction to season 3
I think you guys got the good ending (i.e most satisfying, with good emotional payoff) I personally prefer the dramatic back-and-forth of the one where you shoot Kenny, get a tearful goodbye with him, and THEN the horrible realization that Jane lied to goad Kenny into violence, so you decide to go off on your own. I'm also in the minority of people who dislikes Kenny and has since season 1😅but that's not the reason i prefer that ending i swear
A weak leader but a good person and maybe he didn't need to be the leader to be helpful to the group. I never really saw Luke as the leader once Kenny got back in the story.
I always cry when Kenny begs that lady to take the kids… he had a lot of bad moments but one things for sure, he always wanted the kids to be safe.

Oak is right, Kenny is a real one. Yes he's hot headed and broken, but even going back to season 1 he is always looking out for the kids.

Kenny wasn't the villain in this. He lost so much, he cared about Clem so much.
i’d disagree, he’s fucking unhinged and was reckless
@@acidtrippeddollyou are in the minority with that statement 🙄
@@acidtrippeddollelaborate.
The funny thing about Kenny is that I hated him in my season 1 playthrough... the moment he shows up this season I instantly loved him. It's that whole thing about preferring the familiar to the unknown. Kenny was an asshole, but he was MY asshole.
That’s some interesting wording 😂
This dude is talking about baby formula in the middle of nowhere...Why wont ppl learn..Always listen to Kenny
Personally, I think you got the best ending!
There are 5 different endings (or 7, depending on how you count); if you go with Jane, you end up back at Howe's (Carver's place)
The look Oak gave Answer when he said, "you could get milk from cows."
Glad Quinn had some fun with the dialogue choices & picking different, like with the cookie line. Was anticipating the moment when you'd see Lee again, was lovely seeing all your reactions to that & no matter how many times I see it, I still tear up with Kenny & Clem at the end there, glad you got to see both endings, really enjoyed your playthrough of Season2 thanks as always guys, much love & look forward to your season3 journey! 😁💚♥️
Thank you so much for the super 🤜🤛
@@BaddMedicineArcade you're welcome as always! & Have a nice weekend! ^_^ 💚

Kenny has and always will care for the children first! First it was Duck, then Clementine and now AJ. A father will do anything to protect their own.
Same 🤣
When this episode first came out, there was actually a choice for Clementine to SHOOT Mike when they were trying to leave. The choice was later taken out of the game after a few days.
1:04:14 Silence is a completely valid option, as always.
Forget the imperfect decisions prior, that ending choice was all that mattered and it payed it all off 🎉

Ugh THANK you, loved Luke so much and his death hurt. Personally I thought they could've done him better 😕
Definitely need them to play Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands, and Batman telltale next.
Frfr
who 🗣️🔥🔥🦇
game of throne to best game from telltale for me
BTW this episode was originally going to be A LOT different.
in the end it was actually supposed to be Luke vs Kenny, not Jane vs Kenny.
People were shipping an adult with a child?! I swear…
Wth,, that's so reckless
@@lizthefeminist3 Guess you haven't seen The Last of Us stuff out there. Ugh. Sick.
@@violeta373 yeah 100% absolute kings.
I'd totally count on Oak if we had to face a zombie apocalypse.
Best possible ending Lets goooo🎉 That last scene makes me cry every dang time I see it. I can't wait for season 3
I don't think she actually cared about Clementine, but Clem did remind her of her sister
bruh she kill herselft in season 3 because she pregnant
@@ghostspace15 And that disproves what I said…how exactly?

1:41:41 No, Mason, she didn’t want Clementine to do it. She specifically told Clementine, no matter what happens, to *stay out of it* before the fight even started.
it's sad how Luke dies the day after his bday
When you guys finally get to the start of Clem in the future, you should def check out how each story line goes if you go with Jane and if you go with Kenny. Each of those are very different.
Kenny has had too many bad things happen to him and he's nothing like Carver. I like Jane but I wish she would've stayed away so I didn't have to watch anything bad happen to her. Great playthrough fellas
I actually paid attention to Lee talking. He was giving you the best ending. Kenny was the only right choice.
Thank you Oak for choosing the ending that you did. If you know you know.

Even after shooting him, kenny still loved clem, he was the obvious choice imo
Watching this series for the first time and i dont want it to end 😭 im so happy you got the best ending imo

“Just take Captain Morgan and…lower your expectations” 😂
Was anxiously waiting for this episode
Edit: The very end had me SOBBING. I forgot how emotional that conversation was
Finally found some time on my vacation to watch your video!! Let's goooooooo... Greetings from sunny Croatia ❤
Love you all
out of all the possible endings for season 2, staying at wellington with AJ is by far the best ending.
This is the only ending where Kenny survives entire series
We don't know that. I'd rather see Kenny with Clem and AJ have more time together which also gives him the chance to witness them grow together even for just a short period of time
@@el-ul8ky they way they wrote that was too rushed and out of the blue I'd rather we not know his fate so if season 5 ever happens then this ending is the only path to him returning alive
Why do you have to spoil? Let them finish the series before revealing whether someone survives or not.

@@Jayy_emwym yea they did lol
I cant begin to describe my contempt for season 3
Season 3 is both the best and the worst season. It is the best season because the choices actually matter. Most of the characters are determinant so you as the player have a lot of control over who lives and who dies. But, in terms of gameplay it is the worst. While the first two games really weren't about the gameplay, they at least had some action scenes. In season 3 there are very few scenes were you actually have to aim at things. The action scenes just consist of pressing a button when prompted. Which is a huge downgrade.
W for going to Wellington
16:10 you could see the smile on his face he did that just to make him angry That's hilarious
It’s been so much fun watching you play season 2! Can’t wait for season 3 🫶
Kenny is the only character I would want on my team besides Lee ..Who cares if he can be a jerk the world is ending
dont he die that’s not cool
He never was physically abusive but he knew how to start fights whenever he was in a group and was really irrational when it came to landing on decisions, but after that, he was probably the most loyal person out of both seasons, besides Lee obviously, I agree leaving him is probably the best option, but after watching the Kenny flashbacks, it seems like Clem has happiest with him and AJ for those 2 years, it seemed like they were a loving family at least in the season 3 ep 4 flashback
I think Kenny's flaws shine because no one else has as much character as him
@@mekareactsandreviews3026 Sure if he’s loyal to you. If he isn’t, you could be one of the most genuine kind hearted people like Luke was and still get shit from Kenny because of Arbitrary bullshit.
"so you made me kill my friend, just to prove your point!? " clem says with the other option
It doesn’t end with going to Wellington if you go with Jane. What happens with Clem from here, in season 3, is different depending on your choice at the end of this episode.
Before starting season 3 you guys should react to all the endings of s2ep5 and then react to all flashbacks from s3 ep1 then start playing season 3
Originally Jane was going to be strangling Kenny and the choice was going to be shoot Jane or look away,Kenny’s VA said telltale changed it because during player testing more people were choosing to shoot Jane,so they changed it to even the odds and make the choice feel more difficult

27:19 - Ok, the "Holler if you hear me" was pretty good
As someone who picked Jane.
Can't wait to see even more Telltale Walking Dead! Please play Michonne, it's good too!!
Yesssuh can’t wait for you guys to continue to see this story & the TV show comparisons noiiice

Been waiting all week for this one! Lets goooo!
I think you guys got the good ending (i.e most satisfying, with good emotional payoff)
I personally prefer the dramatic back-and-forth of the one where you shoot Kenny, get a tearful goodbye with him, and THEN the horrible realization that Jane lied to goad Kenny into violence, so you decide to go off on your own.
I'm also in the minority of people who dislikes Kenny and has since season 1😅but that's not the reason i prefer that ending i swear
The irony is that Carver was right about this group. They weren’t going to make it and Luke was a weak leader.
A weak leader but a good person and maybe he didn't need to be the leader to be helpful to the group. I never really saw Luke as the leader once Kenny got back in the story.
