I love seeing artist's past sketchbooks! Seeing how similar a lot of us start out and our habits back then! I used my sketchbook in such a wasteful way... And now I try to always fill spreads as much as I can :'D
I used to use my sketchbook (if it can even be called one-) very wastefully too.. thank god, My sketchbook doesn't have to suffer in that way anymore 😌
To all those younger artists... Please please please please please do not throw away your old art >:0 You may hate it, it may make you physically cringe, it may blind you, but having old art to look back on and possibly redraw is a HUGE motivator (and is just a lot of fun) showing your progress as an artist ;)

I've been playing a game kinda like Alice closet (love Nikki) forma couple of years now and they look almost the same other than how love Nikki kinda looks better quality

I'm near my teenage years:') Looking back at my old art really wow me. Seeing others progress from where they started really shows that art is not a talent. It is a skill! You're drawings from when you were a teenager are amazing compared to my current artwork haha (you've improved a LOT like HOW-) But when I watch ur videos, they help me understand the way different parts of different drawings look like. Your videos help me a lot Rebekah :D
One time, I made a sketch that I really didn't like, but the next day I fixed some details, added a few anatomy things and painted it, and now it's my favorite page in my sketch book so far

Um i'm afraid to admit it but when i was about 4 years old, my brother was drawing a car and when he was finnished with it, i scribbled some pink flowers on it(they dont look like flowers) bc i thought it was ugly. I guess i'm kinda like your siblings 🤧
This is literally my sketchbook XDDD, a bunch of faces, eyes, some attempts at anatomy and hands. I just draw on random pieces/sheets of paper and put it in a folder
@@bilalsala There's actually a lot of different manga/anime styles in how an artist stylizes proportions and features. I have a style that is pretty manga-like, but it's very different from Rebekah's :)

When I saw those blank papers, they were so shiny, they produced enough light to set my eyes on fire. But woah, your improvement throughout the years... It's amazing. Sometimes when i leave blank pages on my low quality sketchbook... I just... Draw random stuff that I, myself, dont understand lol.
I know you referred to these as “bad” but honestly this helped me. I’m trying to learn how to draw anatomy better, especially eyes, and the amount of heads and eyes you drew helped me figure out what they should look like. TYSM!

It's so cool to see those old sketch books because I'm in my midteens so it's cool to see where you were at at my age. I used to do the same thing except I would rip out everything and start over cuz I felt I wasn't using the sketch book right lol my first sketchbook is soooo thin 😅🤣

I was the opposite- My old notebooks were filled to the brim- I was so scared of wasting literal notebook paper, that every page was so full you couldn’t even figure out what was going on- and it would take me like a year to finish my notebook-
in high school i would take notes in my sketchbook and draw in my notebooks. Basically whatever was in front of me. Altho sometimes my teachers would have us turn in our notebooks, so i'd have to tear pages of my sketchbook and shove it in my school books. I had one teacher that would see my doodles in my notebook and tried to connect all of them from the whole semester in a story and i am very curious what the story was.
I can’t wait too experience the time where I go back to my old sketches and cringe a lot in most of them hahaha. Oh and its fun to see far youve become sa na artist its really inspiring :3

Okay, to be fair, I also have that probable, so I am in the same boat as you. It is one of the reasons why I mainly use smaller sketchbooks for doodles and try to save bigger projects for my bigger sketchbooks :) Of course, now I do most of my art on my iPad, haha
