What a delightful tour. IMHO, there was the perfect balance of narration, silence and music.

Sean these travel videos are so professionally made. Good music, narration and video tour. What an amazing fortress with thousand maybe millions of stones. How many stone masons would it have taken to build such a massive fortress. The level of upkeep and repointing the stone through the centuries must have been extensive. It was a brutal and difficult time to be alive 1000 years ago, but wow, they knew how to build. The views of the village are wonderful. Thank you for taking us to this memorable medieval castle.

Hi Sean, this fortress is amazing. It is hard to visualize the work that went into constructing this fortress. With no modern machinery or tools. The man hours, the back breaking work that it took. Thanks for bringing us along, for taking us back in time. Love from N.Y.

I can't be alone in wondering what these sorts of places would look like if they were to have all of the walls and rooves etc reinstated. There's always bits in ruins or only the foundational footprint of a section of a historic property that leads me to whimsical wondering. Caernarfon Castle in Caernarfon, Nth Wales is a prime example that springs to mind.

I just kept saying "Wow!" with every turn of the camera. So many things to see! Perfect music choice! Those views from the top were amazing. Imagining the fortress teaming with activity over the hundreds of years. Thousands of feet walked those steps and halls. (Seeing the very clean fireplaces, knowing your struggles, I am wondering how the museum did it? 🤔 ) Thank you, again!

What an amazing chateau, Sean. It sort of has a feel of Scotland, more so than France. I bet you would have enjoyed being part of the original construction crew! Can't imagine how much time was necessary to fashion the stones for the exterior...without the benefit of an electric power saw.

As I look at this, it occurs me that should society collapse, it probably wouldn't take long before people gravitated to returning to using the castle to its original purposes: living, working, and defensive functions.

if you could read french, you could literally go to the tourism page for the region where the fortress is situated and it says it right there. People like you fascinate men Jeanna. The unwarranted confidence is astounding.

Wow another great adventure! I wonder how long it took to build it the walls are so thick. I surely wouldn't want to be a servant there because those stairs would kill me and they did it while carrying stuff. Awesome! :) :)
