The HORRORS of Vault 22 (Fallout Lore)

In the bustling “Apocalypse Economy” in Pre-War America, Vault-Tec was sure not to waste a moment on capitalizing on this capitalist crisis. But while you may think that the company was only interested in setting up pockets of humanity that they could shape to their desire, and you’d be pretty much right to think so, there was another vault. Smack dab in the heart of the Mojave laid Vault 22, the only vault known to be constructed without the intention to house a civilian population. To the public, Vault-Tec’s advertised purpose of Vault 22 was to be a research center, inhabited by scientists, allegedly experimenting with staple crops to combat the worsening global hunger crisis going on during the Pre-War period. But, like anything else that Vault-Tec had their fingers in, there was much more to this vault than meets the eye.
See, like for almost anything else in the United States, these projects were always connected with other mega-corporations who were trying to further their own goals. In the case of Vault 22, Vault-Tec, who was basically in bed with the other major American defense contractors who together effectively ran America, often used donations from them to conduct their science experiments. But it would be precisely for this reason that Vault 22, also known as the Green Vault, would meet an ending that no one should wish for.
