2:10 "I never saw myself in Regency clothes... I never saw myself in those dramas." Representation MATTERS! I'm so happy that Bridgerton brings today's diverse sensibility to period drama and shows us all that everyone existed in these time periods.
I agree people existed.. but how many (East) Asian women would have been over there in Regency times... 🤔 I think it's completely awesome that we get to see it.. but think about it..we are 💯 never ever going to get the opposite. Korea is never NEVER going to make a period drama with a white/black/SEA woman wearing a hanbok...so I think when you beat the drum about representation and time periods..you need to think a little.

Reading the book An Offer from a Gentleman, I've always pictured out Sophie as a soft spoken lady but with a fighting spirit. That one character that needs to be proctected at all cost. I always imagine the book Sophie as someone who is hopeful and still kind with everyone despite of everything she been through. And im beyond happy and satisfied that Yerin Ha embodies all those aspects ❤❤❤
