Why are so many people afraid to objectively criticize Rashford? Because of his "brand"? Because he’s a local lad? Because of his charity work? Because they are afraid simple minded folks will conflate objective criticism with racism and his skin color? Personally, I couldn’t care less about his brand, being a Mancunian, his charity work, and skin color. Good on him for his off the field charity work. But the only thing that matters to me is his performances on the pitch, that’s it. And what I’ve seen for years is an extremely inconsistent player with terrible body language, who doesn’t track back, and looks like he can’t be bothered half the time to be on the pitch. His standards and performances are not consistently good enough. And United higher ups continuing to pigeon hole him into the squad manager after manager is counterproductive.

It’s a cultural issue at the club. United need to recruit players who get up for matches themselves and don’t need a manager or teammate to motivate them. United need players who are intrinsically motivated and don’t revert to lower standards. Player by player that needs to be the standard at the club. A manager can round out the edges and set the team up to maximize strengths. But they need players with mentalities that DNGAF about outside noise and motivate themselves.

All publicity is good and it brings attention to us. That will inturn bring revenue. Our
academy is awesome. We need a captain that has the proper mind set and players that listen to the captain. As for rashford. He’s picking it up intermittently which isn’t good enough but if we get those marginal gains through the season we are into Europe again and that another boost to revenues.

When we were winning everything, we had brilliant captains leading the team, but we also had a team full of leaders. Currently, there isn't one leader in the squad, never mind the team.
Regarding a time period that sums up the club over the last decade, for me it's the games played behind closed doors during Covid, we played some great football then & were consistently top 4, just missed out on several trophies also, but what was telling was how we fell apart when the crowds came back - these players were good in a training environment like the empty stadiums but couldn't cope when normality returned, lack of character again.

I'm surprised no one is holding the players accountable; it's always about the coach. The players need to take responsibility, too, not just the coach. Let the coach do his job, because no one can perform under this kind of constant pressure.

Rashford is a grown up man..he should know what is right or wrong and who to listen too. He is not a naive guy. Rashford only performed one season throughout his 9 season in first team.. that was his contract was finishing in 2022/23.
