This video bring back so many fond memories. I used to go to Shipshewana back in the early 80’s with my husband , our small children & my parents. We would always have lunch at one of the local Amish restaurants. My parents have passed, children have grown, marriage ended & I moved from Illinois to Oregon. Thanks for sharing & bringing back so many sweet times ,💕
Haven’t been there in decades either! I always enjoyed the drive through Amish country and a favorite ice cream stop on the way home! Enjoyed looking at everything! We go to the Allegan flea market now, it’s amazing 🥰❤️🙏🙏🙏
I feel so blessed to live about 30 minutes from this FANTASTIC FLEA MARKET, which I visit about once a month !!!... I absolutely love it !!!... My husband and I are planning on making a trip over to your antique mall, soon, also, so we're looking forward to that !!!
Wow, this place is absolutely going on my 'places to go' bucket list. Omgoodness! What a wonderland of memories this is. Love it! Thanks for taking us along. Thoroughly enjoyed it, camera dizzy and all!! xx
I have access to several really nice and affordable Flea Markets. As for windows, my boys found one on the side of the road and brought it home for me. I painted it and attached a shelf and decorate it seasonally. It hangs over my kitchen sink. I also have a window that was originally in my great grandparents home. I am so blessed to have it and it still has its original glass window panes.
Yvonne and Chris, I will never get to this flea market, which is GOOD! I would come away with my SUV packed and I would be strapped for at least a month. Lol. Fun to see. Thanks for taking us along. Saw several things I already have (inherited), but also saw a lot I would love to have. Fun, fun, fun. Thanks again!
That was great! I was saying “ oh stop there…stop over there”… my eyes would be like yours …ALL OVER THE PLACE… 😳 All those wood boxes, crates, SPOOLS…. Ladders, WINDOWS , bird houses …. I would need a wagon like what I saw in the video to put my stuff in! I laughed when you said Chris told you he didn’t love you anymore because he said NO to the windows…!!! Always feels like that until you get passed the shock and realize he “may”… may be right. But the first initial feeling is SHOCK! LOL!! This was so fun …. Love shopping with you !!! Looks like it was a nice day and a nice break from the shop projects! You need that now and then. 💛💛🌻🌻🌻💛💛
Oh.. can you imagine the two of us there.. lol.. we’d be look -no look here-no look over there.. oh so many goodies in one place. Good thing Chris was there.. or yes.. I may have bought more windows to stash away 🤗
I could have lived at that flea market for a month. lol Old snowmen, metal roller skates. Rusty cans, oh my goodness, thanks for taking me along. Loved it.
I enjoyed every minute and I enjoyed everything I saw. I have a new respect for rust now. I enjoyed the memories and the fun it was not about money. I'm glad you posted
My son spent two summers in MI playing baseball. He talked about the humidity and the mosquitoes. The team he played for , their mascot was actually a mosquito. Enjoyed your video. Always love a good flea market. We have one that we go to every Labor Day in VA. It is only one weekend a year and it is huge. The entire town turns into a flea market. It is crazy.
Aww... thanks for the memories! My husband and I would go there every summer and drive from Toledo, Ohio, spend the night and go for both days. So relaxing area, loved it there!
I loved seeing everything with you, they had some great stuff. While we were up there over the weekend my sons girlfriend and I went to a couple of Antique places, I found a few things that can't be found here in Tennessee but I will keep them. But the weather was wonderful, it was cool and no humidity at all. We loved it. Planning to come back in a couple of weeks for a week, we might have to find that flee market.
I have always wanted to go to Shipshewana. Thanks for taking us along with you. I was hoping you might have seen some yard sales along the way. But if you think like me, I would have been anxious to get back and make some projects that you were inspired by. Excited to see what you do with the star.
Enjoyed the video! I haven't been in years either and I'm about the same distance away as you are. Good memories! I used to go with my mom and we would pull my daughter around in a wagon. Lots of fun! It's good to see they have so many booths that I would like. Need to plan a day and head over there!!
Mar peters - have been there a few times. I live in Indiana and love it there. They have Shipshewana on the show in the spring they come to Valparaiso, in and also in the winter. They also have on the road in crown point, in at the lake county fair grounds. Just love it all. Really enjoyed your video.
Our family lake cottage is in northern Indiana so I go to Shipshewana every summer at least once, sometimes more. I always spend more money than I think I will!
Omg ! I went 3 weeks ago and it was my first time for the flea market it was amazing I live 2 1/2 hours from there and I’m going back before summer ends
Huge flea market. That one vendor in the beginning, had great prices. The rest seemed a bit high priced. Lots of inspiration. I too, am a sucker for RUSTY, DUSTY, & MUSTY. ❤
Hi Yvonne and Chris enjoyed going to the flea market with you so many pieces i liked thanks for sharing. Prayers Blessings to Yvonne and Chris and both of their families Hugs Mildred
Love Shipshewana. It's about 30 minutes from my house. I love the whole town, so many shops and stores. The flea market has a lot of new stuff, hats ,dresses, etc. so we usually bypass all of that and go to the ones you were showing. Wish it would have stayed ALL rusty, crusty stuff but it's still fun going. Did you stop at Blue Gate? They have very good food there.
I saw so many things that I had over the years and got rid of, not realizing that it would be sought after one day. Who would ever thought. Enjoyed the video tour, I haven't been to a for market in years. I loved the metal hanging bird chain thingie at the video time of 14:04.
Shipshewana! I went there once, twenty five years ago. The husbands took the kids camping. And several of my sisters in law and I went there. I loved it! So fun to watch this video. Things seemed fairly expensive. Lol, I guess things have gone up in 25 years.
I am so excited to be making the trip to see your booths this weekend! I love watching your videos and they inspire me so much!! Thank you for all your help! I am working towards (fingers crossed) opening a booth in the near future at our local antique mall!! :)
Wow, luckily I live so far that I can't go there and buy, buy, buy... So many beautiful things, amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍😍 Thanks for the tour ( bit dizzy by the end though.. Hihihi)
Lol, don't think my hubby loves me anymore either. We went to an estate sale and we split up so I could go in house and I sent him to the barn and outbuildings. I knew there was a 12 foot wood ladder and I asked him to find anything else I'd be interested in. He tells me when we meet back that there was nothing, then a few minutes later I see a woman coming from the barn with a metal milk crate and several other vintage metal pieces. Thought of letting him spend the night in the dog house until he pointed out on a shelf a very dusty handmade wooden train set. Yay. Very cheap on estate sales down here. I think I gave 4 dollars for all six pieces of train maybe less because it was bundle.
So weird because I was just looking at a house in that town the other day. I loved the area but probably want to be a little closer to Granger, Indiana.... closer to my kids. We live in Wisconsin now so I've just been checking out places in Indiana and SW Michigan. This market looks like it would be a wonderful field trip with my daughter in law. Thanks for sharing!
My favorite place I've ever been. Now you got me wanting to go. That booth where all the spools were is one of my favorite booths. Before covid we use to always go for icecream at E&S Sales. Last year they weren't serving any : (. Hudsonville Coffee Lover's Dream is my favorite. We can't get it here in Ohio (25 miles west of CLE).
I am opening up booths there this summer. They also have some Friday Saturday events for those that can’t make it on Tuesday Wednesdays. There’s also what they call swaps on some Saturdays. It’s also open Monday memorial day, Monday of Fourth of July weekend and Monday of Labor Day weekend.
Ha ha.....I get the same comment about 'needing' another piece of fabric. As a dressmaker/costumier you always need another piece.....I am certain another window would be ideal. Imagine the cool Fall and Xmas deco you can do with a window.
I live a few minutes away from the flea market, it’s not like it used to be, very high prices, but fun to check out anyway. You’d do better at the auction in regards to prices and flip potential.
I haven't gone to the flea market there in a really long time! It's about the same distance for me too. I did participate in a Christmas market there a few years back, but it was at the newer MEC center & not the flea market. There are some pretty cool things to see at the flea market though! Isn't funny how we tend to gravitate to certain items over & over, like windows & rolling pins? LOL
I know.. when you think.. I wonder what kind of things I like.. lol.. than I edit the video 🤗🤣that so cool that you’ve not only been there but did a show too💕
It's not far from me and makes a fun girl's day outing. Was the license plate guy there who sells individual letters and numbers cut from license plates? They're fun to craft with.
OMGosh! I have been looking forever for a white enamel pitcher like the one you looked at. I couldn't see the price tho. You and I have quite similar taste. ❤🐄🐖🐓
Thanks for taking us along. I was like stop look at that. Wow look at that . LOL

hahahah!! How cold and unfeeling of Chris to tell you you don't need another window!! hahahaha That was so funny!

It was a Tuesday, so not really a yard sale kinda day. But we would have stopped if there were some.
😂😂😂 Chris she needs another window look at all those goodies
Yes..yes she does🤣
i am so blessed to be only an hour away from there!!

Nice antique
Many years ago I was in Shipshewana for an auction. They ran 2 or3 rings at the same time. I didn't know where to turn.
Oh.. that might make my head spin too.. I wouldn’t want to miss out😬
They have 6 rings going at once.
I just looked this is a two hour dive for me !!!
OMGosh! I have been looking forever for a white enamel pitcher like the one you looked at. I couldn't see the price tho. You and I have quite similar taste.

Oh .. I love enamel ware too. The price was faded off, so I didn’t see it either
I would have spent so much !!! Do Doug bowls still sell for you ?
Oh my gosh. I have been there several times. My parents live in the area.
Love that. Such a small world
Prices went from good to way to high. I would have wanted so much.
Yes.. I kinda was thinking the same
I’d be in heaven there
Oh.. Yes.. so many goodies
the prices looked pretty high ! Way higher than my store.
I though the same thing. Higher than hobby lobby regular price
Yes, I got dizzy. 😣
Oh.. I’m so sorry
i need one of those windows
Yes, yes I believe that you do
Nice place would have spent a lot of money there. ...
