    Fantastic way to create a cave!! A suggestion to save on magnets would be to replace one orientation of the magnest (say the south ones) and instead use thin washers or bits of baked bean cans (file/sand the edges)c

    • @irongryphon
      @irongryphon  2 года назад +1

    What a clever idea! These turned out fantastic!
    Those crystals 😍
    I was worried for a minute there wouldn’t be moss....should’ve known better 😂
    Edit : you could make various little end caps (crystals, mushrooms, oozey things) with a bit of metal on the bottom to put on the ends of any that end up not connected to another bit.

    • @irongryphon

    This is by far the coolest modular cave tile system I've seen so far! Also, how do you prevent the superglue from melting your foam?

    • @irongryphon
      @irongryphon  3 года назад +5

      The foam gets an undercoat of black paint and matte mod podge, the mod podge is the key. It seals and protects foam really well.

  • @dartmart9263
    @dartmart9263 3 года назад +3

    Practical indeed! Fantastic project and outcome. Highly versatile. Do you put a drop of detergent (or flow improver) in your homemade wash? One little tip ... look at the camera lens more, and less at the display screen. :)

    • @irongryphon
      @irongryphon  3 года назад +2

      Haha you're onto me 😅 I find it so hard to look at the camera lens.
      And no I don't put any detergent in the wash, I made it without and found that it was perfectly adequate, though I've heard of people doing that to improve the flow

    Very cool take on cave terrain. It might not be the optimal arrangement for playing, but it looked especially impressive when stacked, as it was behind you at the end.
    I hope next episode you’ll find something aesthetically appropriate for the tops of each piece. There’s a ton of opportunity to take advantage of that space.
    Cheers! 👍🏻👍🏻

    • @irongryphon
      @irongryphon  3 года назад +1

      Thank you 🙂 I think I'll keep the tops and bottoms clear, as practical walls (whether cave or dungeon) need only to be implied and I like having the blacked out "negative space". But there's nothing stopping anyone from modifying my design to suit their own preferences 🙂
