It looks like you had a fantastic 2023 Darren, so many countries and so many cool trails, it's incredible🤩. Great video and nicely edited mate. The shots at the end were amazing, there were some laughs in there😂. Here's to a great 2024🙌🤘
Thanks Christoph 👍 It was indeed a great year. Let's hope 2024 is just as good!
AMAZING ! I am really fascinated on how you made huge progress! Congrats man! You are a role model 👏🏻
I appreciate that! I guess progress comes from many hours in the saddle and a burning desire to learn to jump despite my advancing years.
And that is so inspiring! I myself am 40+ and you lead the way how to learn jumps even if you are an ‘older model’ 😂
Solid year Darren... And I'm well impressed you managed to get the year you've had dpown to just 5 highlight trails... That was no small feat all on it's own!!
Cheers Phil. Suffice to say there were quite a few different drafts for this video 😉
Hi Darren as for the last year living in the swiss / german border area atlake Konstanz your videos are a real treasure of adventures to be found. I ride both Enduro and Ebike and have a lot of fun on both of them bumbling down the trails. From what I see you would enjoy trails in the CZ republic and Poland quite a bit because there are some real gems to be found both trailsystems and bikeparks most really well build. Have a good start into 2024 and maybe we cross trails one day bests.Ali
Wow, thanks. There are so many places to visit on the bike that I've still to experience, and eastern Europe is certainly a huge gap in my knowledge. Hope you have a good 2024, and as you say, maybe our paths will cross one day!
Ace video mate, you've really ridden in some varied and fantastic locations.
I made the cut too, I see 🤣
Cheers mate. Couldn’t let that shot of one of your greater moments go to waste 🤣
Some great riding Darren. Good job on the filming and editing too. So many amazing places to go isn't there. I've just bought a DJI Action 4 as well as a drone to capture some of my adventures I'm planning for this year. Squamish and Sedona/Moab are booked so far!
Thanks Jerry. I'm quite jealous that you're going to Sedona and Moab - both are still on my list. Will you be posting your films to RUclips? I'd love to check them out.
I will be for sure. I'll let you know when that happens. I'm also going back to Squamish followed by Pemeberton and points beyond.
Haha it's quite astonishing how you don't seem to have captured any of my fails and/or crashes... so many opportunities... 🤣
Really great video mate - honestly, I knew from the start what your no. 1 was going to be, and absolutely deservedly so! I mean I was only there for a few of your adventures this past year, but I was 100% sure! 😁👍
Also, it says a lot about your year when no trail from your first 3-Länder visit makes it into the top 5! Or even Freiburg not making it into the video at all... frankly, to me it looks like your 2023 was just as insane as mine!!! 🤩
btw I completely understand how your Poschiavo trip made the top 5 - there is just nothing like riding a high alpine tour solo (or maybe with 1 other person) in perfect conditions!
Thanks Jay. If one thing was sure, it was what the number 1 highlight would be. I can't remember ever feeling such a high as I did at the bottom of that trail.
@@TrailTrackerSwitzerland Totally understandable! It was really cool even just to watch you...
Awesome. … for a 50+ Dude … just awesome 😂😂😂🤘🤘🤘
Thanks man. What I wouldn’t give to roll back 10 years!
Yes🤘🏻🤘🏻geils jahr xi👍🏼👍🏼
Danke Dani. Hoffentli wirds nöchscht Jahr au so guet 👍

You get some awesome trails! Have you ever done the Stoneman Glaciara? Contemplating it for this year and was wondering if you had any intel to share?
It was certainly a good year. I'd honestly never heard of the Stoneman Glaciara until I read this message. I took a quick look at the website and it looks like the main focus is on the climbing with all the mention of elevation gain! I'll need to do some investigation to see if it also includes amazing descents as well.
Interesting take on it! I assumed that along with the massive climbs (which seem to be a lot on fire roads) and the awesome views you’d get some equally good descents… if not I will probably rethink my destination for the summer! And thanks for taking the time to answer, really appreciate it
@@nicolaspade1341 As much as I love amazing scenery, I really need to have the promise of a great singletrack descent to motivate me up the climbs. There is nothing I find more frustrating than slogging up a long climb and then riding down an overly easy descent.
@@TrailTrackerSwitzerland absolutely agree! If the reward is not good descent then it is a no :D I’ll see if I can find anything on Trail Forks
😅
I think I spotted you in there somewhere!
I spent so much time riding behind Alex, he was always going to make multiple appearances, especially when he crashes so well 🤣
Yeah im not doing crashes in 2024 - it hurts tooo much!
