This video features the Sovereign-class refit as envisioned by John Eaves for the final scene of Star Trek: Nemesis. In the film, the U.S.S. Enterprise E survives a devastating battle with the Reman ship Scimitar and is undergoing a refit to repair the damage from the battle. For the sequence showing the Enterprise being repaired, Eaves created a new version of the Enterprise that had some structural and material differences. The updated design sported larger pylons, adjustments to the saucer and engineering hull, and a darker, more metallic material. This design never made it to the screen but now you can fly it in Star Trek Online!

Hard to believe it’s 25 years old now, (including preliminary design sketches).
Sovereign class. One of the most beautiful starship designs of the Star Trek franchise. Its a pity they did not make more movies with this starship.
Or include it in DS9 or Voyager.
Correction: NOVA Class, not Sovereign.
And when needs be as seen in First Contact and even more so in Nemesis A PROPER KICK ASS STARSHIP.
@@bobdolesrevenge Even if it weren't the Enterprise, Maybe some Sovereigns could be included in the fleet scenes against the Dominion as part of any official digitally remastered in HD-4k/8K edition that finally comes out..
Include some Romulan Valdore/Mogai class Warbirds besides the D'deridex as well.

dammit, this video reminded me again of why the Sovereign class is my favourite ship in Star Trek. John Eaves definitely needs to tone back his designs and concepts. This is still his best work/creation.

I really didn’t appreciate this design fully when it first appeared but rewatching the epic battle scene entrance in First Contact I can see why they needed a narrower design for the big screen. She’s a beauty!

I have to say I think the Sovereign class Enterprise is the best looking (IMHO anyway). The others all have their place, and are also fine looking ships, but the "E".. She's just *It*!!

Because JL Picard had right before this point the USS Veritas, an Odyssey Class commanded.. And, a ship of the Odyssey Class was/is allready the Enterprise F ...

It's incredibly frustrating that the remodel prompted by the Legendary Bundle didn't include parts to build the actual 'Nemesis' variant. There's hull walls running down the saucer (from the shuttlebay) down the neck, the pylons are shifted forward, the nacelles are raised up, there's phaser strips on the pylons, and two extra torpedo launchers (above the shuttlebay and on the rear secondary hull).

It's especially frustrating considering every Nebula variant is now available (including the CGI one), every TOS/TMP Conni is (even the Pilot one), the Galaxy has the nacelle phaser strip variant from DS9, the Miranda has every possible variant except the Antares (and Lantree due to hardpoint issues apparently), even the KT Conni has the 09 version, the end of ID version, and the version from the beginning of BEY.
The Sovereign is, hands down, the best looking ship Starfleet has ever produced , but the version seen in NEM is even more attractive than the one seen in FC/INS and this concept refit, and yet it's not in the game. They managed to find time to have the nearly identical physical model and CGI Nebulas or the 09 and ID Konnis built but not the NEM Sovereign. It's a shame.
She is my fav Enterprise but The Enterprise D is my second favorite, they are both beautiful
I've been asking for this ship for years and they finally put it in the game... only to bundle it with other ships I don't want or need in order to charge a ridiculous price for it. Sigh. This is literally my most favorite ship in the entirety of the franchise and I can't use it.

... You are aware that the Sovereign class is a free ship, right? It's the Assault Cruiser.
The Post-Nemesis Variant is just a minor refit, with not many visual changes.... Unlike the Constitution Class.
@@brickman940 The Sovereign-class is my favorite ship in the entire Star Trek franchise. I spent years studying every single detail on the ship, minor and major, so I really don't give a damn if you consider it a "minor" refit. It has design changes that stand out to me which I find extremely desirable. The standard ship does not have these changes or hull material, so therefor it is not the ship I want.

The Enterprise-E did some diplomatic work after the Dominion War, but you know both of the Battles of Chin'toka and the Battle of Cardassia would be over had she shown up.
I would have loved to see it in action against Dominion dreadnoughts!
if she had joined the war, she would ripped apart everything on her way..
@@jamescooper7878 E-E was rivaled by about 2 Jem'hadar battlecruisers. An Ambassador was bested by a single cruiser on one occasion. Nemesis refit would have given it even more weaponry.
@@Basslinger1959 It wouldn't outgun one, but it should be faster and more agile. Moving where the larger ship has firing arc weaknesses would give it a chance.

The underside of the yacht is supposed to Have the curvature from insurrection to nemesis cause the flat bump is from first contact

i wonder how long it took for fleet repair dock to rebuild her she was pretty well damaged during her battle in Nemesis her whole forward saucer section was crushed and she had rips and tears down the saucer section as well as damage to many of her other areas honestly she was beat to hell and back but she survived as Dr Mccoy said treat her right and she will always bring you home
She was meant to be hammered to hell only to be repaired into John Eaves final Sovereign design which was supposed to be for the 4th movie but never happened because Nemesis did not do well..

Can you make a comparisson video? I seriously can't tell the difference between original Sovereign and post Nemesis.
Nacells positioned slightly differently, the secondary hull was made sleeker, more torp ports, phaser strips, minute changes on the saucer..
Never understood, why the e looks more similar to the older ones than the d. That's not logical.

It's probably a huge dumb question but what's the difference between The post Nemesis Enterprise E and the Pre nemesis Enterprise E?
Probably a larger weapons load out, and shield configuration, she did get the crap kicked out of her in NEMESIS.
Nacelle rework, including 4 phaser banks. Torpedo banks, not 100%, at least 1 additional forward dorsal, three aft dorsal. Maybe a minor change in the secondary hull, and apparently, darker textures.
A ship so badass the writers had to pull some super warbird bullshit ship out of their asses just to compete with it
