You could have attached the trailers a lot easier. First, attach a trailer to the truck and back up to another trailer and attach. Then detach the truck, get another trailer and reverse that up to the front of the first two. Repeat till train is a long as you want.

I agree to, you do not need to make this harder on youself than it needs to be. Starting from the back Trailer Bogie Trailer Bogie and so on till the train is as long as you want.
So ill just do some quick math: From my experience on a hay farm these bales weigh about 50 pounds. 50lbsx203bales=10,150lbs of hay The flatbed trailers i found online all average about 10klbsx8=80,000lbs of trailers, not including tires, all together the one truck is pulling estimated 90,150lbs which seems insanely heavy but the maximum weight a semitruck can carry without special permits on the american highway is 80,000lbs. So, it looks insane but the numbers dont lie. it could be done.

daggerwin u do know there is a mod on modhub that is called i think the road train mod. it has a 1300 hp lorry, and trailer that have a fifth wheel on the back to connect to other trailers. you oculd have used that m8. its on modhub. like so dagger can see
If you're referring to the CRT road train pack, its done by GTX modding and you're better off getting the pack from their web site. (gtxmods.com) The pack uploaded to modhub.us is stolen by a scumbag who just trawls other sites for mods then reuploads them. If we don't support the real mod authors we're going to lose them.
Reading the mod description or checking out the uploader can usually give a good indication as to the authenticity of the mod you're looking at. In this case at modhub the description still has all the details about GTXmodding, (who I already knew has their own website) or if you check the uploader it shows 29780 mods uploaded... A genuine modder will not have created anywhere near that many mods, so that many uploads is a pretty safe indicator of something shady going on. Even better evidence is that particular scumbag also uploaded Frithgar's goldcrest valley timelapse save game... (shown in the "show all uploads" section)
When i need to hook up multiple trailers it kinda helps if you hook the trailer to the front end of the tractor rather instead of the back. I think it makes it easier to control especially with the dolly. And place the trailer that is going to be your last in line first then build your train from there
With that trailer the truck isn't actually pulling the weight of the bales until you do the "unload center" command. The Bales are hovering above the trailer until you do that. I doubt the truck would be able to move if you did that on every trailer :P
Thure Christensen dude it's not silage XD that's the equivalent of two of them trailers full of freshly cut wrapped silage bales. Correct me if I am wrong.
the best way i have found to connect multiple trailers, connect 2 trailers to each other, then disconnect those trailers from the tractor/truck.....then take another trailer and connect it to the front of the trains and repeat until you have the train length you want, it makes it easier since you dont have to reverse the full train that will turn just out of reach of connecting the last few trailer
@daggerwin you have not really loaded the trailers in a manner so that the truck will feel the weight. What you have to do with that specific trailer is after you have auto picked up the bales, you have to have the trailer selected, turn off work position and then press Y to unload bales onto trailer and then press L to fasten them with belts. The game will only then realize that the bales is on the trailer and will adjust the weight accordingly.
I'd enjoy seeing you unload onto the trailers and strap them down, then try to move after, that would certainly prove a challenge to the truck. As they are like that, the game doesn't count them as bales and they just exist as a graphic on the trailer, by unloading them, you put the weight of the bales onto the trailers which makes it a lot harder to pull. Although you may want to carefully plan your route before you do that or you might just end up with them all lying on their side!
I modded some police cars into the game with some other cool mods and made a bit of a convoy route with like an overload based thing with some combines, semi trucks, and pickup trucks hauling the combine headers. It was fun manuvering all the police cars around and whatnot. I enjoyed it a lot.
piece of advice that i did when i first did this method start with the truck where it first was on the road and pull it forward when you have connected another trailer this will make it so reversing up to the next trailer it easier then pull forward to attach to the next trailer exc. i used this method with the giant tippers like 3 weeks ago and connected 10 tippers and a low loader and it sucked both practically and time wise i did this because i was bored and curious it was so long i went to a field and made a circle putting the semi on the low loader and it worked also an another semi connected 5 flat beds and using a wheel lowder put cars on it to make shipping train this also took forever

Easier method is to buy truck, drive forward, buy trailer, grab it, drive forward, buy dolley, grab it, pull forward, buy trailer, etc. I do this and it makes it fast and easy. If you buy a second item you have a good idea how far to pull forward and you only have to back up a foot or two
looking at the siize of the trailers assuming they are 20 foot in length you have roughly 160 foot trailer length. average trailer length here is 40 foot in length, at 5 200 foot at 8 is 320 foot in length IRL you would max to about 5 trailers due to turning radius on to double to triple laned road in a b-train you 250 of cargo space. Note: dollies/dogs conform to twin or tri axle pending on what is being hauled....
noob question, is it a mod that allows you to drive alongside the bales and have them appear on the trailers or is that how the trailers collect the bales?
Daggerwin the trailers don't get heavier because the bales don't have a weight when autoloaded test unload it on the trailer and strap them then the truck won't move!!! ;)

If you have auto-load on and there a bales on the trailer the weight of the bales doenst work only if you turn off the auto-load on each trailer and strap the bales than have you aal the weight. Its just what i know 😉😉
Daggering a faster way of attaching the trailers would be to put a dolly on a trailer,then get another trailer with a Lorry and add it too the Dolly. Then add a dolly to that trailer and repeat. That way you don't have to reverse the Dolly trailers.
why not more trailers?? atleast in fs15 there is no limit to what it can drive with. the problem only comes when there is a hill. i made a 128 long road trin in FS15 it was so long you coudtent see the end of it.
Carefully fit the pie into the toaster because you never know when a meteor is going to swim in your backyard because of the magnetic attraction that the cars contain. You know what I mean?
Next time you try to make a road train, do not try to back up all the trailers. Instead, back up 1 trailer in front the "train" of trailers. Detach your lorry, pick up a new trailer, put it in front etc etc... thats the most easy way.

Daggerwin... if you want to test the truck unload bales center and strap them down, it gives real weight to them, but it is possible to tip over...

Next time you try to make a road train, do not try to back up all the trailers. Instead, back up 1 trailer in front the "train" of trailers. Detach your lorry, pick up a new trailer, put it in front etc etc... thats the most easy way.
