So Steamdeck is 40WH battery i believe? So i would say you would prob get around 3 full charges on the steam deck (assuming it is off while being charged) once you take into account all the losses. Also from my experience. Those USB power monitors can cause a bit of loss too from the added connections and all that.
You should also find too that if you plugged the steam deck into the powerbank and run it from that first before you drained the steamdeck battery. It would last longer overall given there would be no charging loss. And the powerbank would have an easier time only having to kick out 20w to run the steamdeck.
Steamdeck OLED is 50WH
That’s a great point. Fully charge steam deck and 548, then see how long before 548 is depleted and now you still have a full steam deck battery to deplete. Sounds like another test for me to do. Thanks!!
Ah ok, so prob about 2 and half full charges then @@seeliger1992
Love this setup!
Nicely done! 😊
It's excellent the amount of charge you get out of it. My Anker 87w only charges my phone like one time if I'm using the phone heavily while it charges it. To be able to fully charge a cevice at full bore is great. Bet you'd get at least 3 charges out of it with the Steam Deck powered off.
Oh yeah. Enough people ask about that, so I'm gonna try it.
Discharge efficiency of the Anker 548 per your result is 85% (163Wh / 192Wh). That's not bad but not class leading either. It might be output voltage dependent too.
BTW, my Anker 737 shows 100% charge while still charging at a high rate for 15min after. Might want to attach a power meter to the Anker 548 while charging it and ensure it stops pulling significant power before a discharge test.
60W limited ports on a 192Wh power bank is criminal. They should release a "prime" version of it with 140W PD 3.1 bidirectional charging.
Both Jackery and Baseus have released LFP "power banks" that are not quite "power stations". Better options will come along.
Great video like always I was hoping that you would show the remaining battery life of the power bank after letting it fully charge the steam deck from 0 to 100 without playing on it just so we can see what the remainder battery percentage would be on the power bank from 100% but like I said great video like always
I can do that within a couple of days and get back to you or post a RUclips short.
Those steam decks are cool but so expensive btw 2 min ago I just ordered the power news 80 watt solar panel buried with a 5 meter dc cable for my wattfun power station.
How did you get the anker to charge at higher rate? I tried it with a 100 watt cable and a 30 watt anker charging block and it only showed to be taking in 20 watts on the screen. I guess I need a higher charging block, maybe a 65 watt block?
Powerness
I hope you back man
Cest quoi interet davoir une grosse powerbank autant la brancher sur secteur
How long can u play with that
Wasn't this powerbank kinda bad for some reason? Like the awful power distribution based on port combinations
In my testing, the top port and bottom port do 60 watts. when the bottom port is used, it can do 60 and the top port 27. In my youtube short, it was drawing 90 watts from the power bank. It's not the best power bank, but it's very high capacity and can charge your steam deck and phone at their top rated speed.
