Impossible to pull apart to replace blades. Need to do a video on that. Or hire better engineers maybe? UPDATE: you have to take the whole head off.. so whip out your Allen wrench or tool that you use to take off the head, unscrew the head, then you can pull the polycut apart and then stick in your new blades. Would prefer easier access to replacing blades than this method.
Hello! We deeply appreciate the time you have taken to reach out to us and provide us with your feedback. The plastic blades can easily be changed, all you need is the plug pin supplied with your brush cutter. You can use this to block the shaft, then twist off the mowing head and change the blades. Optionally, you can add a protective plate to your STIHL PolyCut, which reduces wear and raises the cutting height. We hope this helps!
The problem with this video is..... that's not how a professional lawn mower cuts grass with a whipper. He doesn't hover the whipper in one spot for 5 seconds then takes 5 seconds to move 2 cm's to the left
@@Stihl I certainly hope so because i pride myself on honesty. I hope you also appreciate that after doing a bit of research i bought your Whipper FS-45 I'm very happy with it
I'm a retired US Marine, and Im about to cry because I can't figure out how to replace the old blades. I can't find a video and your instruction manuel sucks. I liked it the first time I used it, but now I wish I never bought it. It's now just a piece of shit taking up space in my shead.
Hello! We are sorry to hear you are encountering an issue replacing your PolyCut blades. If you have the PolyCut 28-2 mowing head as shown in the video, you can change the blades, no tools required. You can always reach out to your local authorized dealer for assistance. They can show you have to successfully change the blades and assist you with anything else you might need!
買いま〜す😊
Thanks for the heads up.
Why do plastic blades need soaked in water for 12 to 24 hrs before use?
Hi! By soaking your trimmer line and polycut blades in water overnight, it makes it more flexible and less prone to breakage!
Poor attention to detail: do you soak them once? right before use? Give us more info please !!!
Is it compatible with the fs55 ? - if not, which polycut is compatible with it -thank you.

Thank you a lot
🔥
The last "poly cut" style flail had the torx screws without pulling off the head. Stop changing what works!

@@Stihl The problem is you don't explain that in the video. It's just shitty background music and a guy putting a head on.

Overall a poor video -- tells you very little. Silly music too.
Thanks for your honest feedback, we appreciate it. What would you have liked to see for this topic?
Tragic design! Just bad
