If you are talking about accountability…we’ll tell us where’s the accountability those genocides committed in Iraq war, Laos, Vietnam war, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Phil. American war , Israel war etc…
I can understand perfectly, Western journalists perspective of China but even when the issues at hand have been clearly answered by Prof. Mahbubani, however convincing he may be, I doubt they will change their opinions about China.
Whether China censored, semi censored, directly or indirectly, stability and improvement with positive changes are of utmost important. Somehow China does their own way and decisively but not necessarily they have to perform as what the West told and the only universal way. Otherwise, China won't be growing economically, technologically and even militarily without waging wars or media propaganda against someone or country which they dislike. The West seems to think they are the God on Earth to order everybody to comply to their written rules (may change without prior notice tho).
Kishore is spot on. China may have formal censorship, but we in the West have informal censorship. The fact is that *censorship is censorship,* whether it's formal or not. Censorship has no bearing on a people's happiness. Prosperity, safety and stability do. That's why the Chinese are happy and the Americans aren't.
One thing for sure, when we watch American news, we are glad we are not in America with all the mass shootings that are happening everyday. Too much freedom might not be good for the society. Restrictions and censorship keep people in check.
The west does have formal censorship, it is just done in secret between intelligence agencies and media outlets. Actually, they’re not even secret, like Operation Mockingbird, but if the media don’t report it, then the average people will never know.
Exactly, so arrogant of the US, with its 250 years of history, to tell China, a civilization with 20x the history and who was the dominant force in the world for most of the past 20 centuries, what is right and wrong and how China should emulate western values and governance system.
Accountability... Is the US government held accountable for its many illegal wars, sanctions and coups? No. Is the US government held accountable for neglecting the welfare of the American people (homelessness, gun violence, poor health care, poor education, crumbling infrastructure, declining life expectancy, growing poverty, etc.)? No. The Chinese government's legitimacy to rule rests entirely on whether or not it serves the welfare of the Chinese people. The government has most clearly earned its legitimacy. Should the Chinese government ever fail in its duty, it will fall. This has been the case for thousands of years and through dozens of dynasties.
Actually, wtf is the west to decide whether the Chinese government is accountable to its people or not. They instead should be questioning whether their own government has been accountable to its citizens.
@@Likeqiang20 Is the USA held accountable for taking over Hawaii? Is the USA held accountable for stealing Mexican territory and making it the Southwestern United States? Countries have always annexed territory through war. China is no exception. However, since 1950, China has taken no territory. Since 1979, China has fought no wars. Countries should be judged by their recent history. What is the USA's recent history like? (Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Yugoslavia, etc.)

I absolutely agree 👍 with professor Kishore. The bad guys are everywhere like Cambodian dictators (Hun) family is the do nothing for the poor Khmers who crying everyday around the world and they ask for help. Even their 🇺🇸 citizens have been locking her up for the free speech and she is the lawyer. Are you serious about human rights of the citizens of America. One system for all. Can’t be the system of what you think of.
Accountability in the west? You mean politicians being accountable to their funders and lobbyists and not their people and voters? Like what are you talking about? Freedom or the lack of censorship does not equate to accountability, its a banana ideology. The actual reality is that majority of Americans are unsatisfied with their government whereas the majority of the Chinese are satisfied with theirs. If we want to measure accountability, we should not be looking at made up ideologies but actual results. The Chinese have seen and experienced improvement in living quality for decades whereas Americans have experienced stagnation or declination for decades. Accountability doesn't come from freedom, but instead from restrictions. You have to restrict the freedom of politicians from receiving donations if you want them to be accountable to the voters not funders. You also have to restrict medias from getting away scot-free after publishing a false narrative or fake news if you want to be accountable to good journalism. Everything about America's freedom today screams plutocracy and not accountability. The ideology of freedom is more of a facade to mask the top 1% that are gaming the system and manipulating the people.
Too much of the "my way or take the highway" attitude. There is no single path but multiple paths multiple cultures multiple religions. Political leaders should cease with the insane idea that the world has to follow their ideas to make the world a better place. The world is a better place the moment they stop trying to influence and interfere with another's backyard when they need to get their own backyard in order.

Ruth Ann Tsakonas is my trade analyst, she has guided me to identify key market trends, pinpointed strategic entry points, and provided risk assessments, ensuring my trades decisions align with market dynamics for optimal returns.

I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $200k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work.. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.
Without a doubt! Ruth Ann Tsakonas is a trader who goes above and beyond. she has an exceptional skill for analysing market movements and spotting profitable opportunities. Her strategies are meticulously crafted on thorough research and years of practical experience..
