Great! I love it! BUT!! I cannot for the life of me understand how someone (I guess unless they ride the route so many times it has become "old hat" so to speak) can just ignore the views and get on one's stupid smart phone, laptop, etc. and not look out at all that beautiful interesting scenery! Thank you so much USA RAIL GUIDE for this and the other informative videos you post. And also I learn from them as well. Again, thank you!
It would head down to Bennington, Vermont and then travel west to Albany, NY and then on to NYC. There is a proposal to reactivate that line by the state of VT. The study is a few years old now but they were considering running two service patterns. One train would follow the route that it does today and the other would go via Bennington.
Always confused why they moved the Whitehall station. Just having the potential to serve both lines seems logical even if its only serving the Adirondack line now.

What if the train kept preceding south from Rutland on the other track instead of the one to New York City, would it end up in Springfield MA/Boston?
