Same problem. Super disappointed by Porsche quality, and most importantly concerned about the airbag being able to deploy properly in a case of an accident.
Just reported to the NTSB, thanks for letting me know. Have a 958.2 GTS with the same issue but not as severe. I tinted the windshield and tried to limit sunlight exposure on the car since new and it still peeled, pretty ridiculous. When I went to the dealership to get it fixed right out of warranty they said it was “normal wear and tear”, yikes.
I know it's ridiculous that this is considered normal wear and tear. I first noticed a small wrinkle in the dash when it was still under warranty and should have brought it in, but once the warranty was over, it got really bad... I haven't fixed it yet since I've heard that once the dash is replaced, it might happen again. Well, thanks for watching
I has a 2016 cayenne with a brown leather dash as well I’ve looked all over the internet for one can’t find one. I will report it to the NTSB as well so hopefully we can get this resolved!
I know the feeling... my dashboard is black but has silver stitching, and I can only find used replacements with red or black stitching. I found Porsche of Delaware online, and they can get me a new dashboard for $4k, but I can't justify the cost right now. Well, thanks for watching
I have a 958.2 S without the leather Dash. Of all the cars I've owned or driven the Cayenne is the worst with sunlight. I think it is the rake of the windshield but it does get extremely hot up front especially on the dash area...
I wish I didn't have a leather dashboard. I found an online dealer that will sell me a new dashboard for around $4k. So there's a good chance I may change it myself.
Lesson to self: don't buy Porsche. I was actually looking at the Cayenne vs Audi Q8. Something just wasn't sitting right with me about the Cayenne and I'm glad I saw this video.
It is frustrating, but all vehicles have issues. but this really shouldn't happen to a dashboard. If the cost to replace was only $3k I probably would change it but $10k I can't justify the cost. Well, thanks for watching and enjoy your next vehicle

my wife 2017 Cayenne has the same problem. Any suggestions on how to fix it!

@@onesimpledad I ended up buying an Acura MDX. Love it so far.
Wasn't this priced into the acquisition cost?
No, thanks for watching
