      Thanks yah i think its one of the best color schemes theyve done personally. Nice hopefully you will like your high country. My cousin has a 18 and its been a good sled but they deft feel heavier then mine. Haha i have a 13 high country as well and i really liked that sled until i got this one haha. The engine is nice and the updated chassis is nice as well. Congrats on the purchase !

    I agree completely. Had a chance to ride both the 21 Riot and 21 X last spring. I was really surprised at how well the X handled on trail. It was the only sled with the scratchers down - even the regular Riot didn’t seem to care about the scratchers and it was a typical late season day for riding. When following the The X, it flung a lot of snow and ice - those scratchers were really working well. I did not get a chance to take either off trail - strictly a trail demo. I would call the regular Riot 70/30 on trail biased and the X was probably the opposite. But, it’s still good on trail.

      Thanks for the comment yah I've had a few rides now, still no snow so hard to get more videos but I'll try. But i haven't been able to run the sled without scratchers down, was riding with my buddies the other day and he has a summit with same lug track 2.5 or so and he didn't need his scratchers down but i sure did and yah it throws lots so i try to ride off on the opposite side of the person behind me when i can so I'm not blasting them with chunks. Love this sled , things are starting to break in so ill give more video updates as the winter goes along. Very very surprised how stable it feels in the trail.

    Great vid bud, no snow here in NB yet. Quick question...how light does it feel compared to say something like an Assault? With all that skid removed I'd expect quite a bit of weight savings.

    • @flatlander86
      @flatlander86  3 года назад +1

      Thanks and sorry id love to answer your question but I've unfortunately never driven an assault and dont know anyone that owns one for me to try so i wouldn't know. The front end feels pretty much the same as all other pro cross or climbs back end does feel lighter. Some information says dry weight of 480lbs and others ive seen show 530 or something. I've never weighed mine either but over all it feels lighter then the dual rail counter parts but as for how it compares to others im not sure. I'm hoping to maybe rent a khaos this year and see how they compare to each other.
      Thanks for watching.

    I'm not off trail enough to do it justice but the most I've ever had on a seld was 21 riot x. There isn't a sled out there with a lighter feeling front end which is saying something because these cats generally keep the front end planted. I love that color too. Have fun with it buddy.

    • @flatlander86
      @flatlander86  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching. Yah this sled is a lot of fun and like you've said light front end feeling. I myself am barely off trail and especially this year we've had a low snow year so, so far it's been idk 99% trail riding. Is it a great trail sled no is it a bad never ride the trails with it no. Luckly I'm going out west now to try and find more then 5 inches of snow haha. This is the most all around fun sled ive been on. There are times trail riding i don't like it and maybe would rather be on a full trail sled but then there are times i absolutely love it. Have a good season. 🍻

      Thanks man glad you enjoyed it. Congrats on your purchase. This is a great sled id love to try a 146 hardcore, i need the extra cooler for my trail riding so the x was a no brainer for me. I do wish at times i had more track but thats for 3 plus feet of powder which im not in much but the 154 alpha deft shines more in that kind of condition. Im getting excited for this season. Hope you enjoy your sled and have no issues with it. Ive been very lucky with mine and its been good. Lost 2 exhaust springs but besides that its been great.

    • @flatlander86
      @flatlander86  3 года назад +1

      Depends on snow conditions. If you have 4 plus inches of snow with sway bars links attached pretty easy. Detached yah pretty easy everywhere. Honestly conditions play more of a role then anything i think

      @@flatlander86 , thank you for your answer . when trail riding, are you seating or standing ?

    • @flatlander86
      @flatlander86  2 года назад

      Both depending on how the trail is. Through whooped out sections mostly standing. Other areas mostly sitting. Through turns use of body positioning is big in helping it stay a bit more stable.

      @fnatomagan 3 года назад

      You guys are lucky, they had one in Rally Motorsports Prince Albert. Chose not to put a hold on it and lost out, picked up a Alpha Hardcore instead and Silber Turbo'd it. Love the single beam skid.

    • @flatlander86
      @flatlander86  3 года назад

      Yah i tried talking to rally and they more less lied to me and said they wont be getting any 21s in, proline in stoon tried to bend me over i was finally able to deal with Stan at universal satellite in rockanville. Yes a long ways away but he worked with me and we were able to actually work a good deal out, would highly recommend checking them out if looking for a new sled in the future. Id love to have a turbo alpha for out west but right now i cant justify a mountain only machine so i got this "crossover" haha and its great. Still do wish for a bit more track out west sometimes but o well it is what it is.

    • @flatlander86
      @flatlander86  3 года назад

      No issues with running the turbo ? Seen a guy last year in mcbride trying to tune his turbo alpha and it wasnt working out for him. Not sure what kit he was running. I bet its a wild ride though when running right.

      @@flatlander86 I still have some clutching to figure out, still over revving. I am installing a AFR and boost gauge this year to know exactly what PSI I'm pushing. I run, 50/50 av gas and 91 which I think is excessive but I haven't once hit DET. When I know the exact boost I'll try a mixing a lower ratio.

      Yes and a 96 zrt will do over 100 as well ... Your point ? This isnt a race sled this isnt a trail sled this is a 70/30 depending on who you talk to might be a 90/10 off trail to on. This isnt a top speed sled. Thanks for watching.

    How do you like the riser bars when riding trail sitting down and turning corners?

    • @flatlander86
      @flatlander86  2 года назад

      I honestly don't mind them at all but I'm used to the high country's bars so it wasn't a big change for me, if I was really used to the lay down steering then maybe it'd feel weird. I think it'd just take some time getting used to. I don't find mine to high they aren't like others I've seen haha. Hope that helps answer your question.
