  • HUDYAKA SA BAIS TAPSAYAW FESTIVAL
The Tapasayaw Festival is born out of Bais tradition and culture of sugarcane harvest. “Tapasayaw” is coined from two bisayan words, “TAPAS” meaning cutting of sugarcane done during harvest time. “SAYAW” meaning dance. It connotes that during the time of “Pagtapas”, farmers will be glad and happy to have reached the time of sugar cane harvest expecting for a bountiful one. In fact, it is expected that farmers find their time together to group and bond for merry-making and a get-together party in local site or venue. Farmers will hold dance celebration during fiesta and special events of Bais as their portrayal for a happy feeling of good sugar cane harvest.
