    Got my 2017 ZL1 6MT tuned with a ported throttlebody 90mm and RotoFab intake and 102 Octane tune on the dyno and achieved 690 horsepower (motor) and 860 Nm of torque at 30 °C surrounding conditions, Love the car ;) tuner (Geiger Performance, Germany) also told me the 6MT are way better in performance dispersion as the automatic version

      Everything else was stock

      Transmission gearing would be the difference between the two models

    Love to see this compared to Corsa's New C.A.I

    How would that intake compare to the stock box with the hood down and on the road @ 100mph? That would be real world. Dyno tuning is always with the hood up and at mostly lower wind speeds.

    Why is the R-F intake power curve fluctuating up top and dipping down before 6500rpm?

      Too bad it’s an automatic. Fail.

    great video...what's the story with GM's suggested 'break in' period for those engines......most say 500 miles

    What Rotofab unit was that? It didn’t look like the Big Gulp. Great video too by the way. 👍🏽 thank you.

    • @ApeMotorsports
      @ApeMotorsports  2 года назад +3

      That was the standard 4" Roto-Fab.

    • @stefanobimbi9466

      Not a Big Gulp, that would require PCM tuning.

    • @douglassmith6927
      @douglassmith6927 2 года назад +1

      Do you know how how much more HP and Torque you would have gotten from installing the Big Gulp with the PCM tuning ck paired to the 4” root-Fab.

    • @ApeMotorsports
      @ApeMotorsports  2 года назад +2

      On a stock car with the stock throttle body the Big Gulp is only another 5ish hp. On a car with more modifications such as headers, pulleys, larger throttle body, ported supercharger or aftermarket supercharger, the Big Gulp can be 20hp over the the standard 4".

    Matt. Is it possible to get a tune from ya?

  • @colbygraves9298
    @colbygraves9298 Год назад

    Would you run octane booster or cut with some Sunoco 260gt to stop the knock on the top end?

    • @ApeMotorsports
      @ApeMotorsports  Год назад +1

      Yes. Either one of those would keep the knock down. Careful when mixing leaded race gas in though. The lead can foul the oxygen sensors. Just a 2-3 gallons per full tank is all that's needed.

    • @colbygraves9298
      @colbygraves9298 Год назад

      @@ApeMotorsports do you think an aftermarket tune would reduce the knock on the top end vs the stock tune?

    • @ApeMotorsports
      @ApeMotorsports  Год назад +1

      @@colbygraves9298 Yes. You could make adjustments in the tune that would reduce the knock.

  • @Jwdude123
    @Jwdude123 2 года назад

    Why? Without a tune it’s minor. And it voids warranty.

      With a tune it voids warranty

    • @fullmetaljacktt
      @fullmetaljacktt Год назад

      It doesnt void warranty. Everytime they do warranty work they scan the car and if it comes back different from manufacturer tuning then you void the warranty. I just talked to my dealers shop repair manager and he said the cai don't void warranty unless you tune the car.
