I’m from Australia, and our most well known pointe shoe brand is Bloch. Usually, we don’t purchase pointe shoes like Freed s or Gaynor Mindens, because none of our dance store supply them, and to get a proper fitting, you need a professional fitter. Unless you have been on pointe for a long time, then you can buy whichever you want.

It's not necessarily bad to be able to feel the floor, some people look for that in shoes. I know Gaynors typically come with squishy things in the top so that might be why you feel you can feel the floor more

@kayla yaremko no, they are made so that they will be whatever hardness works for you- they come in different shanks and will not Harden or soften anymore unless you get a different shoe. you should get the shoe without planning on breaking it in, because its not supposed to change over time.

Just a video suggestion, but it would be cool if your mom randomly bought you different pointe shoes (without you knowing where she bought them from until later), and you had to guess which shoes were the cheapest/most expensive just by wearing them. Love your videos btw! 💕💕

Carly Williams pointe shoes are expensive because your doing so many moves and it damages the shoes so the shoes are expensive because they are long lasting and won’t damage that easily

I wear capezio cambre's and i REALLY like them its honestly just your preference in the end, no hate! Just wanna say try capezio they are great shoes and you could really love them!!! 😁

This isn’t necessarily an ad for Gaynor’s as much as it’s an ad for quality shoes versus cheap knockoffs.

I think you should compare the pointe shoes with the same conditions! As far as I know, it may be more comfortable because you've been wearing gaynor minden pointe shoes. Of course, it's much more comfortable with gaynor minden.

Block Serenade are my preferred brand. I love them. I'd be interested to know if you broke the shake where your arch is and how you broke them in. I personally cut mine to 3/4th shanks. I love Gaynors but they really are so expensive. Tried Sansha pointe shoes once and they were of similar quality as this cheaper pair here.
We always called Gaynors cheater shoes but they're life changing. You can also already see the $20 boxes collapsing.

Doing a lifecycle assessment of vegan leather vs real leather, im pretty sure real leather comes out to be more environmentally friendly because it doesnt require fossil fuels to produce
I recently watched a video from a reputable costumer that discuses this subject, at least in part. If you compare a pair of vegan leather shoes against leather shoes that are made to last a very long time, to age well and therefore can take multiple resolings, it seems clear in that aspect that there is a real argument to be made for opting for leather shoes. Personally, I would prefer to know that an entire animal is used and nothing is left to waste (in that way, honoring it's sacrifice...and no I'm not a new age person; but if we're going to take a life, we might as well utilize as much of it as possible or we devalue that life and it starts to mean less and less) and if that's the case, I'd *personally* rather buy the more expensive leather shoes that will usually wear significantly better for years and that I can have new soles put on, than a cheaper "vegan" leather shoe that requires more synthetic materials. This is just imho and I think if wearing only vegan leather is what you feel is the right thing to do, then you should do that. I have chose a vegan leather over real leather before.
A cow takes a lot of environmental impact also.
@@Got2Bespoke I saw a similar argument for well made leather shoes in some videos about American Duchess shoes. I support your view. It also helps the small farmers and craftspeople who use the animals' products, so overall it is a healthy lifestyle to support even if some people choose to eat vegan. I really think most animals on the small farms can receive more individual care, respect than in a factory farm (I love all my animals, even the meat animals.) In a family farm, our best female breeder animals (for instance our goats and birbs) have a way happier life with only a few of the best male animals, and we can improve our genetics that way, and allow a few animals to have the best life, without stress from competing or aggressive animals but also can help our family and others have healthy meals. These small farms are helping to keep certain breeds from going extinct, as well. The factory farms tend to just do one or just a few standard breeds or so per animal. (Many cattle are not raised in a factory environment, but that just happens at the end if they are grain fed in feedlots.)

Make sure u have blister plasters in your pointe shoe bag as at first it could be quit painful and u might get blisters until you find a way to protect ur feet and not get them x

the $140 ones are just just beautiful. I also dance ballet, but I only have ballet class 2 times a week for an hour. I dance 7th year now, and I don't even know how to do a pirouette😭😭, and just got my first pointe shoes last week. And I am almost crying when I see all the tik toks of 11 or 12 years old, and they dance for 5 hours a day😭😭. Btw, you look gorgeous.
