Guy who was excited about Endless Ocean here.
One of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES on the Wii.
The game play & stories were good and decent but it was the soundtrack & songs that lived in my heart. Always used it as a lullaby mix for whenever I needed rest & when I wanted to meditate. Plus, for when I learned about animals in the deep blue, I always came to this game for reference. This series was the closest to making me want to be a marine biologist.
Needless to say, I was overjoyed. And will be first in line to get that game.
Despite what anyone says or thinks, I'm so happy with this direct & happy to still be a part of this Nintendo community.
I love this franchise as well and am happy to see this game back. It's wonderful to hear why this game means so much to you. Your reaction is a good reminder that while some games can be "blah" to some people, they can mean the world to others.
Man it was my first Wii game
He was too over excited, people like that and Red Jacket guy needs to consider other people's enjoyment. Don't go over board.

And Star Wars Battlefront. The PSP and DS versions were technically released as Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron but it's still not the flagship version that was going to be on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. The flagship version was going to be completely new while the PSP one was basically Battlefront 2.

Alright. I've been waiting untill when this video came out to get this off my chest
Almir, if you're reading this, I really did not approve of your behavior today. I'm sorry to come off as mean, but it was almost entirely insufferable. It's alright to get hyped over certain games, it's alright to make some comments over certain aspects of games, but what I really did not appreciate today, is the fact that a lot of your comments today came off as extremely disruptive and distracted me from watching. I wouldn't be so upset if the comments were subtle, but they were extremely frequent and louder than the actual presentation. It got to the point where several people next to me also shared the same agitation towards you, and just wanted to watch the showcase in peace. I tried holding my breath throughout almost all of it, but I really wanted to put my foot down and yell at you when you dissed the person next to me getting hyped over Endless Ocean. That's not ok. I really did not appreciate how you singled him out for "being too hype over an ocean game." I was hyped too. I loved the first 2 on the Wii due to their relaxing nature and cheered for them when they came on as well. Yeah he fell down on the floor, but it was still excitement. It was still something that made us happy. I really feel you owe him especially an apology. I saw that even some of the store employees had concerned looks on their face If I'm being honest, I feel like your general comments could alienate not only fellow spectators such as myself, but also audience members watching this re-recording. I wouldn't be suprised if people who attended would stop attending these because of how loud and abrasive you were. I would also not be suprised if people watching this video who never attended one of these would never want to go to one of these in their life. I'm really not trying to be mean here, but I feel like the issue popped up frequently enough today to where I had to share out my thoughts. As someone who respects you as a person, I just really want you to know that your behavior today wasn't ok to me, as well as a lot of people who also attended. If you attend the Pokemon Presents at the store on the 27th, all I'm asking for is for you to tone down your comments just a bit. If you came to the end of this, thank you for your understanding, and I hope we can all enjoy what Nintendo cooks up in the future

If so, yeah he got on my nerves instantly. There's always this kind of person in these videos who are right in front of the screen and makes the most noise / are the most annoying (like the Joker dude in the e3 2019 Direct who got annoyed that people asked him to sit down for TotK first trailer).
Yeah the guy who shut down the guy excited for Endless Ocean killed the mood constantly, it's okay being hyped for things but read the room
@KorenLesthe Yes. I don't mind people clapping and cheering over stuff, it's just the frequent blurted out comments that were too loud and interrupted stuff a lot that irked me
Pretty hypocritical considering how he was reacting to Epic Mickey. Everyone has their likes and interests (though some do show it pretty excessively lol), nothing wrong with being excited for something.
8:10 hearing people get hype for the OG Battlefronts is pretty great. Can’t wait for this one to bring the ol’ game servers back online

As someone who never played the OG Star Wars Battlefront games, Epic Mickey, and Monster Hunter Stories, I’ll be picking up those titles. I enjoyed the Fantasy Life game on the 3DS so I have high hopes for the next entry. Heard positive things for Ender Lillies, so Ender Magnolia is on the radar. Unicorn Overlord is my big title for the first half of the year.

Geez, nobody likes anything during the reaction. Except for me, Super Monkey Ball, new Suika Game update, Monster Hunter Stories, SMT V, and Rare games online we’re the highlights.
I mean, again, not many like Partner Showcases very much, hence why not many really care about indie or third party games very much.

@@Farstarlover Well yeah that's what they target. But for me I appreciate seeing other types of games out there, not just the mainstream ones. For me, it's more of I'm hoping one of those rare games becomes a popular franchise once more, even if it's a IP that's been dormant for 20+ years at that point.
ENDLESS F'N OCEAN LETS GOOOOOOOOO!!! 🦈
The original Wii games were a chill diving sim all about exploring different ocean biomes and the animals living in them. You eventually got to set up your own aquarium displays, help repopulate a coral reef, take photos (kinda like Pokemon SNAP), and recover sunken treasures which expanded big time in the second game.
The one thing I hope for is removing shark aggression that was in the second game. I just want to pet all the animals I can't pet in real life!

I haven't played any of the Rareware games shown, Ive only seen snippets of gameplay of Blast Corps and Killer Instinct and knew about the others existance, but don't remember the ganeplay
Like I knew it was Blast Corps, Battletoads, and Killer Instinct from seeing the gameplay, but since I dont recognize the Killer Instinct theme, nor realize the Rareware logo was from Blast Corps, I couldn't properly react

All honesty the red jacket dude is known to be cringe and I found that bit hilarious, its already flooding a few forums and discords. Yeah, despite that this one and the Pokemon Presents had fewer people than last year that's for sure.
That’s a small amount of people at the NY Nintendo Store. Compare that to Smash where the entire room was crowded, though I can expect it to be crowded again when the Switch 2 gets announced.
the combination of it being a school day, being early in the morning, and being small scale meant a lower amount of people. Was able to recognize a couple faces, but others were not here.
It's not really been the same since Covid

1. It's a school day.
2. It's February, so it's cold.
3. It's a Partner Showcase, not a full Direct.
4. It wasn't live.
@@ShayTheValiant Also, not to mention, it was announced at the last minute, so people had no preparation ahead of time to plan their day to watch this in person or on RUclips. Compared to Pokemon where at least you had 5 days until the premiere occurred today on February 27th (when I post this comment that is).
Can't wait to get some of theses games when they come out later this year.

I am so glad the camera man was far away from any loud mouth other cameraman that doesnt know his place. 💯 (Hopefully the loud mouth took some consideration for others enjoyment.)....Red Jacket was annoying @$$ 4ell.
The “loud mouth” is severely on the spectrum and has trouble with social cues but he’s trying so go be a jerk somewhere else he has apologized for how he acted.
@alNFB2k That's what I just mentioned and I've seen that type of behavior waaayyy too many times. You should have seen what I had to go through in a private autistic middle school. Students getting upset over the most minuet things like the desk being wobbly and not flat, casing them to become extremely upset and throwing tantrums at others, including throwing items to injure people on purpose, students getting out of their chairs and pacing back and fourth, others getting up front and invading your personal spaces and constantly asking you questions when doing a conversation...Yeah, I've went through that hell and it's a reason why I don't like autistic people very much is because of their attitude/behaviors when it comes to that. Thankfully he's apologized but again, if I ever saw that happen in person, the first thing I'm doing is literally pull on his hoodie and drag him to the back of the store. Not because I want to harm him, but rather there are limits to how much you can be excited for something until you become like annoying orange, fred, or that adam sandler jerk who doesn't shut the heck up during a presentation. Also, Nintendo Store's speakers need to be waaay louder so this way those who scream at least can hear the volume even if it's loud and such, or offer people to listen to the presentation with headphones on and such. But that's just me.

I’m going to admit that I’ve never heard of this game up until now, and hoping to tone down my behavior when I attend any future watchings with you people.

Appreciate this post. Without reading the comments, I wondered who that guy was at the front who was a constant mood killer. I would be very furious if this were my first Nintendo Stream at the store and someone acted like that. Its always good to remember that there are a ton of games that exist that are niche, like Endless Ocean, that most haven't heard of but can mean the world to others.
It's great fun to be at events like this with other people, but its always important to remember everyone has their own opinions. We have plenty of time to be angry later and do so without coming off as belittling or antagonizing to others. Read the comments in that thread, take them to heart.
But again, really do appreciate this post. It takes a lot to admit any kind of fault when getting called out, so major props for this, and I hope you have a good rest of your day.
Thanks for taking accountability, I hope for the next Direct you just stay more calm and respectful -- yes Partner Showcase Directs aren't that exciting over full Direct, but the guy excited for Endless Ocean has probably the deepest reason possible to love it, so mind that. I'd also stay more in the background, it just look lik you were seeking attention throwing yourself in front of the screen rather than just "being in the front". Oh and if you're more in the back give a hello for the camera will ya'? :)

Grounded, an Xbox game, running on Switch. And so it begins....
Most of ports on Switch currently are rough. Its in its last mile anyways, the only original game is Monkey Ball (and it probably will release on other platforms) and its not a full February Direct as supposed.
Welp, now that its been 24 hours and i've had time to retrospect after reacting in person at Nintendo NYC, time to finally give my thoughts in person
I thought this Partner Showcase was... fine. It wasn't bad, nor was it particularly great. There were a few REALLY good reveals, but the vast majority were around decent/good range, with a few pretty damn forgettable reveals. It didn't really blow me away that much.
I'd give it a 6.8-10 overall.

Seeing people excited for Endless Ocean and the OG Battlefront games makes me happy.
Geno (from Mario RPG) could get a spin-off game like Snufkin. He could surpass the game that features the latter as the protagonist! Otherwise, Endless Ocean isn't a third-party game, but instead, a second-party one.

The games that were announced to the Nintendo Switch Online were in Rare Replay. It’s a 2015 game and it’s probably not going to be on Nintendo Switch because half of the games were Xbox 360 titles and importing Rare Replay on the Nintendo Switch will make the system crash
It's routinely $7.50 on Xbox.

Even if I really could enjoy some of the other games. But an enhanced version of the already majestic SMT V is apotheosic.
At least, someone was clapping (& made a little woo) when SAO appeared. Tbh, that new game looks more promising than the last 2 games of that series, I'm also kind of surprised that the Gundam game didn't get a loud reaction either.
