This is possibly the best turnkey pleasure/fishing boat I've seen. Other brands are more customizable, but that seems to lean more heavily towards the priorities of the fisherman. This is extremely stable and has done most of the thinking for you in terms of any possible use.
61-62 is pretty darn fast for a Boston Whaler. One of the best riding and fit & finish boats on the market. Waiting to see the Scout 53 with 5 of these.
I wonder if the experience with the N/A V12s is a bit more impressive than the S/C v8s, due to the way the power and torque are delivered in comparison?
Needs some after-market headers for that Mercury V12 sweet screaming hot rod sound ...Open water cooled headers would be easier since the motors stay stationary when turning.
If you ever owned a Whaler, you'll know their construction is Grady class. This includes Everglades, Edgewater and few others. The fit and finish is excellent and stainless hardware sturdy and top notch. Everything is well placed intuitively and for easy access. The unsinkable legend. Me thinks this boat has got to be $1.3 or in that ballpark. The only thing I'd add is synchronized triple hydraulic jack plates if Bobs or Atlas were to make them.

Why do you have music pounding in the background when you have audio on the engines. I don’t know how many videos I’ve watched where people actually want to hear what the engines sound like and the play some music over them. I know Mercury has spent a lot of time on R&D to keep engine noise to a minimum but on video, the background music to me is a nuisance. Beautiful engines and boat without the music.
@@CenterConsolesOnly That was my complaint. It wasn’t for the whole video it was the moment when the engines were revving up and there was music. I was hoping to actually hear the three engines under full power when the music played. I enjoy your videos very much. These boats and engines are way out of my league. I’m guessing those engines combined with that Boston Whaler would be crowding the million dollar mark.

However, with a contra-rotating prop the prop in the rear crosses over the pressure vortex from the front prop which means it behaves more like 3 props than 6 when it comes to drag. It's much more efficient than 6 separate props. Apparently 6-16% according to the hydrodynamics video I just watched.
How many boat transoms are going to rip out because of the weight of the 600 over the 400/450s. They just seem so massive and that 2 speed trans seems like another really expensive thing to break.
2 Verado 600's weigh considerably less than 3 Yamaha 425 XTO's and get 20% better cruise economy. Mercury will dominate the big Center Console market with these.
I know these engines cost a lot to develop but $140,000 + for twins is unreal. Boating is turning into a rich man's game. To buy "just" a new 23' CC is a very expensive proposition.
Then you'd know that the 420 Outrage boat weighs 30,000 pounds loaded. And the 600 Verado only weighs a couple hundred more pounds than the Yamaha 425 XTO. And that two speed transmission and dual prop lower is a big advantage for holeshot and top speed in a heavy offshore Center Console.

You're getting 175 more horsepower for about 200 pounds more weight in a package which takes up less transom space. Which on a 30,000 pound fully loaded wet hull like the 420 Outrage is NOT a problem. The 600 Verado is going to dominate the Center Console market. Mercury timed this perfectly with 7Marine shutting down. So you can buy two 600 Verados for the price of three 425 XTOs - and save a few hundred pounds and get 20% better fuel economy.

It is the intercoastal in New Smyrna Beach. All the tannins from the leaves falling into the water and not getting flushed out so sea causes the water to turn brown.

Based on Scout’s manufacturer specs, the 53 LXF can’t take more than 3 of these. They’re claiming a maximum horsepower of 2,250.

How does the triple V12 option compare to quad 400 Verados in terms of fuel burn and 90 percent range?
Getting up to plane faster and less drag with 1 less prop in the water should be equal or better in efficiency if you can stay off the throttle.
