I agree or they should just erase the World era films. And replace them with an Alternate Timeline series of films, where it all plays out differently, it's more grounded & serious & it can have spin-offs to it. We see how the new park was build up (but differently like no hybrids), we see the ups & downs of running a dinosaur park/zoo. Like how, we might see with modern animal zoos. Then we see Biosyn & other companies & black markets steal there tech, so they can make their own dinosaurs & other paleo animals. But the beasties escape or set loose somehow, they thrive in the wild, & this time we see how people can handle & live in a world full of prehistoric animals from almost all of prehistory.
A streaming series retelling the whole thing since the beginning would be pretty nice. Whole new canon, could be based on the best parts of all the jurassic media that's been done since the early 90s into a cohesive whole.

Nedrys death in the book is awesome! But the bottom line is these are PG13 movies mostly directed towards kids… so we will probably never see an R rated movie
I would love to see a Prequel focused purely on the fall of Isla Sorna during and right after Hurricane Clarissa. The company trying to go harder just to make up for the loss of Nublar and gradually losing 'control' then having to evacuate by getting personnel from the Embryonics, Aviary and Observation posts to the Worker Village to fly out all while the dinosaurs are loose. The best part would be all new characters without plot armor, so anyone could get taken out.
New characters without plot armor is a great point, I find prequels very hit and miss due to stakes not really mattering because you have seen the characters future or shows like the mandolorian for example do great world building, meaning the new republic and the remnants of empire hanging on, but you know where it's all going

Idk how to explain it but the feeling I have while watching the lost world is so good . The dinosaurs are kinda free but not really , there's the ruined facilities from site B and they're still terrifying while also being just animals

What I would really want is stories that came from Trespasser. In this “Return to Jurassic Park” film, what if there was a subplot about BioSyn mercenaries going to Site B, and the plan goes bad. Like Harold Greenwood hiding from the raptors in the dam? Maybe they find the worker village while the InGen guys are clearing out? Awesome! Maybe the Baryonyx on the islands because that was on InGen’s list! Or more Mamenchisaurus. What if they had the JUNGLE RAFT ON NUBLAR FINALLY!!

Another movie - or TV show - could also be based on the events of the 2011 Jurassic park game with events that coincide with the first film but from the perspective of different characters since the legacy character actors are getting a bit long in the tooth. At least we'd get a chance to see what happens to the barbasol can.
The Jurassic Fanbase doesn’t deserve this guy. All of these were amazing ideas, and although I would personally have no issues if Dominion was deleted from the canon of the franchise all together (hell, I might celebrate), it’s super cool that all of these ideas only serve to enhance the movie that’s already there (and all of the others films in general) in the best interest of every fan of this franchise! Hope Universal sees this and takes some notes! Amazing stuff!
I'm one of those that did not like fallen kingdom for many reasons, but the one thing it did was give an ending that left the franchise with the most potential going forward, more than any of the movies, and it baffles me how they can still fuck that up. The only people than know what this franchise needs anymore are the fans.

I agree with all of the ideas in this video. A more grounded and simple jurassic movie is definitely a good choice moving forward. I once tried to write a simple and grounded story about a group of soldiers during the Civil War coming into contact with a Herrerasaurus pack, but that was awhile ago and i havent given it much thought.
I think everyone is hitting the nail in a series- a soft reboot might be the best option for this series. Make it horror related to REALLY sell these animals. Dominion had a good idea of the animals finding their place in the world, basically starting a new era where eventually we’ll have a Jurassic Park Steve Irwin running around filming the most dangerous animals but promoting respect and info on them sounds cool. Yes we want the action- but like Hammond, I think we need to step aside and let life find a way and reassert it’s balance.

Part of me can see a Resident Evil style story with JP, with Ingen and some rival companies making their own dinosaurs and hybrid creatures that escape around different countries.
The 'Return to' ideas are actually right up my alley, its something I've always wanted to see as well! But for 'Return to JW' I'd like to see the beginning of how they built the park and see more of the ruins of the island. Always felt like we were robbed of a proper look at the old park
I’ve actually had a few ideas in mind. They would all take place in between Fallen Kingdom and Dominion. One would be a movie about the Mosasaurus because it felt underutilized after Jurassic World and you could explore the repercussions of having a giant sea creature being an invasive species. Another one could be about how Biosyn took advantage of the dinosaurs on the mainland crisis and could be used to help explain why Henry Wu had a change of heart. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Prequel about Isla Sorna going down during the Isla Nublar Incident which also affected Site B. It’d be lit to see Site B during its prime before the storm hit. Make the raptors scary again! In the original film and even Lost World they were a force to be reckoned with! The Trex deserves the same respect.

As a big jurassic park fan I've always wanted to see the franchise go into survival horror territory akin to the suspenseful tension of the resident evil games but with dinosaurs really like your ideas to help better connect the jurassic series as a whole it would super cool for this to happen going forward

Exactly. The hybrid was perfect for one movie- but then subsequently adding more made it uninteresting and boring (why I left the Jurassic park go game. A billion hybrids, might as well be Pokemon). Dominion really bombed with their ending. It was way too cartoonish.
I think all of those movies are great ideas! I think it would a be a great return to form for the series. I have a few of my own ideas, I would definitely love to return to the 1993 era but I would also really like to see something centered around the creation of Jurassic World. Something like InGen trying to recapture all the dinosaurs seems like it could get really intense. And I really like the idea brought up where the government wants Owen and Clair to answer for all of the tragedies like Jurassic World and beyond. And something I have always wanted is something akin to the show Lost. Where we could start off with some sort of disaster maybe something like Hurricane Clarisse but we better understand the characters or how the hurricane itself started in a series of flashbacks that then cut back to the present. I have no clue if these ideas would work at all but they certainly capture my attention. And great video!
8:15 I had this idea that Dr. Wu cloned them from Rocky Mountain Locust specimens from museums in an attempt to bring back recently extinct animals that were caused by humans.
JP has just gotten too big for my taste. I liked the small scale setting of the first three films. JP being a couple of mysterious islands filled with monsters that attract misguided scientists, adventure seekers and hunters to their doom is what I like. A movie about a group of urban explorers sneaking onto Isla Sorna to explore the original island for their show/social media site could be interesting. Or maybe a seedy producer suckers a bunch of people into being contestants for a reality show that turns out to be on the island and is really an underground event for rich people betting on who will be the last to survive.
I'm not always big on prequels, but I'd really like to see at least one *good* prequel for JP, especially with scenes from the very first part of the book (the doc at the rainy clinic) and more from "Lost World" with the same director as Dominion. Make it dark, maybe with a hurricane thrown in for good measure.

I think you need an entire series but one that has been done thoughtfully addressing questions, potholes, continuity errors, and even retcons. The biggest thing they need to do is listen to fan/critics and take notes. -show us the early days -show us the other 5 JP raptors -show how Rexy was able to escape so that it doesn't look like a total continuity error. - explain Jurassic Park San Diego - Show us cleanup on Nublar - how Biosynthetics acquired dinosaurs etcetera - much of what you mentioned
I've always thought it would be cool to get one prequel movie that focuses on a younger Robert Muldoon. The movie would take place 1-2 years before the events of Jurassic Park and would show us what his daily job was like...raptors, T. rex feeding, stuff like that. The main story would focus on the animals escaping their enclosures (really bad but InGen was able to hide it from everybody before JP events). It would show Muldoon getting the animals back. It would have a really strong suspense and horror feeling. InGen doesn't want anybody to find out about the incident before they even have any guests so they don't send any support for Muldoon and his small team. It would kind of feel like the end of the JP book when Muldoon is facing the raptors.
Either a prequel to Jurassic Park or a midequel in between the Jurassic Park and the The Lost World. But with that same dark tone as the original film and novels. Thats all i want honestly. Doesnt even need to be over the top like the last 3 movies. Something set in the early to mid 90s would be cool.
I love your ideas for these in-between films cuz when you think of it between each of the original 3 films there is what at least seems and is perceived as a lot of time passing by with substantial changes to the direction each character and the companies have taken and there's room for some good films in there. I'd love to see some Dinos being Dinos and teaching arrogant individuals the cost of disrespect, pride, and greed. So great idea! Also, if you ever have the time, and please let me know if you have done this already, but it would be awesome to see an indepth personal ranking of each film, and why you give them whatever rank and rating you do. As others already said, I hope they go back to what Jurassic Park, and especially the book, were originally about: creature horror with monsters that are imitations of Dinosaurs. I feel like the latter is a point that is often overlooked, and that is to what lengths the book(s) went to say "hey, those are not dinosaurs, they are monsters". I want to feel the thrill, the fear, the helplessness of the protagonists that try to defend themselves against a biological threat that goes against nature, while fighting greedy people that feel like playing god.
The main problem with continuing the mainland plot Dominion set up is that you'd have to explain why the large and medium sized dinosaurs don't get blasted/shot to extinction. Let's face it, mankind has a sad history of hunting animals to extinction and the dinosaurs would be no different.
Even if people hunted the dinosaurs down for a variety of reasons in the wild the dinosaur dna is open source so anyone can make dinosaurs so they will never go extinct.
I wish they had a fan like you in there helping with the ideas. Because after seeing Dominion it is confirmed that they don't know how to explore lore properly, they just overuse nostalgia.

I too was disappointed that we didn't really get the experience of man being thrown truly into a world where Dinosaurs exist and we have to learn how to co-exist with that kind of threat. I was expecting Battle at Big Rock style for Dominion. I still enjoyed Dominion alot, but it wasn't a masterpiece.
Oh my god, the brief shot of the Jurassic Park arcade game at 1:37 sent me back in time. I don't know how many quarters I spend on that as a kid, played it so much I could almost beat it with my eyes closed
I've experienced everything there is from the World side of the franchise and I would have no problem at all if they just decided to simply delete everything about it from the universe entirely.
Except for "trained" raptors, maybe. The concept felt like an organic progression for the raptors as a modern animal that had its potential squandered.
All we wanted was a world where humans and dinosaurs would have to coexist and see what would happen with all the chaos and terroir trying to survive instead we got grasshoppers
I for one have always said, a Series that is pre JP. That starts with a Young Hammond meeting a Young Lockwood. They come up with the idea, and the series follows them as they take their idea, their dream, and turn it into a reality. All the hardships along the way. One thing that is mentioned in the Novels, but not the movies, is just the shear amount of set backs they would have faced just to get their first living, breathing dinosaur. The amount of still births, the amount of defects, the complete failures, on top of the DX events. Would make for a very intriguing series to watch
What I'd like to see in future Jurassic world movies is more hybrid dinosaurs. Like the Spindominus Rex, the Spinoraptor, the Parazinosaurus, the Gigazinosaurus, that would be incredible! Great video, Klayton! Keep up the great work!
The Jurassic Park movies fans would definitely love to see are movies in which there has been living dinosaurs in the center of the Earth for millions of years before they were cloned back to life. And it’s not just dinosaurs, but also a kaiju including Godzilla
Per usual, LOVE your content Klayton. But man, love love love your idea for the next “Return to” trilogy. I’d be 100% down for that and completely agree that it would absolutely strengthen the entire franchise. It would add depth to the brand while simultaneously allowing the Heads time to plan the post-Dominion direction.
Would adapting Jurassic Park The Game into a movie be worth it? I mean it has a pretty good dark tone and to see that as a movie would be cool in my opinion. They would be able to bring back the old raptors, give dilophosaurus more screen time, have the troodons be more of a threat than the raptors and maybe show more species of dinosaurs that we haven't gotten to see.

I have an idea of of TV series where it follows the lives of every character in the original Jurassic Trilogy and the aftermath that left them after they've been to both islands.
Honestly what I want is a Jurassic Park Series (Similar to star wars visions) where different Creators and film directors could make their own short films to be in this series, I call it "Jurassic Park: Campfire tales", these stories will not be canon to the main timeline because they are else world stories (similar to Matt reeves batman) but do take inspiration from the main movies themselves, also the directors of these shorts can use any method of bringing the dinosaurs to life (ex: 2d animation, Stop-Motion, Animatronics, CGI, etc.) To show their creativity, These shorts can't be shorter than 5 minutes but can't be longer than 45 minutes (as a little rule), I think this Idea would allow different creators to do what they would do for jurassic Park and bring the fandom back as well. (Editor's Question): What Director would you want to make a Jurassic Park short? I honestly would like to see Zack Snyder make one
One actor they could bring back would be Isabella Sermon playing Maisie's mom as a scientist, as she would be aging into playing a role from Jurassic Park's past. Maybe say Charlotte worked on creating the Spinosaurus on Site-B, so she could fill the Dr Wu role for these in-between films.

I agree with all of the ideas in this video. A more grounded and simple jurassic movie is definitely a good choice moving forward. I once tried to write a simple and grounded story about a group of soldiers during the Civil War coming into contact with a Herrerasaurus pack, but that was awhile ago and i havent given it much thought.
I think everyone is hitting the nail in a series- a soft reboot might be the best option for this series. Make it horror related to REALLY sell these animals.
Dominion had a good idea of the animals finding their place in the world, basically starting a new era where eventually we’ll have a Jurassic Park Steve Irwin running around filming the most dangerous animals but promoting respect and info on them sounds cool.
Yes we want the action- but like Hammond, I think we need to step aside and let life find a way and reassert it’s balance.

The 'Return to' ideas are actually right up my alley, its something I've always wanted to see as well! But for 'Return to JW' I'd like to see the beginning of how they built the park and see more of the ruins of the island. Always felt like we were robbed of a proper look at the old park
I’ve actually had a few ideas in mind. They would all take place in between Fallen Kingdom and Dominion. One would be a movie about the Mosasaurus because it felt underutilized after Jurassic World and you could explore the repercussions of having a giant sea creature being an invasive species. Another one could be about how Biosyn took advantage of the dinosaurs on the mainland crisis and could be used to help explain why Henry Wu had a change of heart. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Prequel about Isla Sorna going down during the Isla Nublar Incident which also affected Site B. It’d be lit to see Site B during its prime before the storm hit. Make the raptors scary again! In the original film and even Lost World they were a force to be reckoned with! The Trex deserves the same respect.
I would want a Jurassic Park horror or have Klayton write the script! Give the fans what they want!

As a big jurassic park fan I've always wanted to see the franchise go into survival horror territory akin to the suspenseful tension of the resident evil games but with dinosaurs really like your ideas to help better connect the jurassic series as a whole it would super cool for this to happen going forward

The hybrid was perfect for one movie- but then subsequently adding more made it uninteresting and boring (why I left the Jurassic park go game. A billion hybrids, might as well be Pokemon).
Dominion really bombed with their ending. It was way too cartoonish.
I think all of those movies are great ideas! I think it would a be a great return to form for the series. I have a few of my own ideas, I would definitely love to return to the 1993 era but I would also really like to see something centered around the creation of Jurassic World. Something like InGen trying to recapture all the dinosaurs seems like it could get really intense. And I really like the idea brought up where the government wants Owen and Clair to answer for all of the tragedies like Jurassic World and beyond. And something I have always wanted is something akin to the show Lost. Where we could start off with some sort of disaster maybe something like Hurricane Clarisse but we better understand the characters or how the hurricane itself started in a series of flashbacks that then cut back to the present. I have no clue if these ideas would work at all but they certainly capture my attention. And great video!

8:15 I had this idea that Dr. Wu cloned them from Rocky Mountain Locust specimens from museums in an attempt to bring back recently extinct animals that were caused by humans.
JP has just gotten too big for my taste. I liked the small scale setting of the first three films. JP being a couple of mysterious islands filled with monsters that attract misguided scientists, adventure seekers and hunters to their doom is what I like.
A movie about a group of urban explorers sneaking onto Isla Sorna to explore the original island for their show/social media site could be interesting. Or maybe a seedy producer suckers a bunch of people into being contestants for a reality show that turns out to be on the island and is really an underground event for rich people betting on who will be the last to survive.

I'm not always big on prequels, but I'd really like to see at least one *good* prequel for JP, especially with scenes from the very first part of the book (the doc at the rainy clinic) and more from "Lost World" with the same director as Dominion. Make it dark, maybe with a hurricane thrown in for good measure.

I think you need an entire series but one that has been done thoughtfully addressing questions, potholes, continuity errors, and even retcons. The biggest thing they need to do is listen to fan/critics and take notes.

I've always thought it would be cool to get one prequel movie that focuses on a younger Robert Muldoon. The movie would take place 1-2 years before the events of Jurassic Park and would show us what his daily job was like...raptors, T. rex feeding, stuff like that. The main story would focus on the animals escaping their enclosures (really bad but InGen was able to hide it from everybody before JP events). It would show Muldoon getting the animals back. It would have a really strong suspense and horror feeling. InGen doesn't want anybody to find out about the incident before they even have any guests so they don't send any support for Muldoon and his small team. It would kind of feel like the end of the JP book when Muldoon is facing the raptors.

I love your ideas for these in-between films cuz when you think of it between each of the original 3 films there is what at least seems and is perceived as a lot of time passing by with substantial changes to the direction each character and the companies have taken and there's room for some good films in there. I'd love to see some Dinos being Dinos and teaching arrogant individuals the cost of disrespect, pride, and greed. So great idea! Also, if you ever have the time, and please let me know if you have done this already, but it would be awesome to see an indepth personal ranking of each film, and why you give them whatever rank and rating you do. Honestly, all these other youtubers keep talking about movie ideas that go past Dominion, but all we really need is movies like these.
As others already said, I hope they go back to what Jurassic Park, and especially the book, were originally about: creature horror with monsters that are imitations of Dinosaurs. I feel like the latter is a point that is often overlooked, and that is to what lengths the book(s) went to say "hey, those are not dinosaurs, they are monsters". I want to feel the thrill, the fear, the helplessness of the protagonists that try to defend themselves against a biological threat that goes against nature, while fighting greedy people that feel like playing god.

The main problem with continuing the mainland plot Dominion set up is that you'd have to explain why the large and medium sized dinosaurs don't get blasted/shot to extinction. Let's face it, mankind has a sad history of hunting animals to extinction and the dinosaurs would be no different.
Even if people hunted the dinosaurs down for a variety of reasons in the wild the dinosaur dna is open source so anyone can make dinosaurs so they will never go extinct.

I would love to see a show that takes place directly after the first JP film involving a survivor of a shipwreck that lands on Isla Nublar in 1995 and follows a teenage girl that survived the wreck fight for survival on the island with elements from the first JP book and the Spielberg film then she is rescued around 1998,

I too was disappointed that we didn't really get the experience of man being thrown truly into a world where Dinosaurs exist and we have to learn how to co-exist with that kind of threat. I was expecting Battle at Big Rock style for Dominion. I still enjoyed Dominion alot, but it wasn't a masterpiece.

Oh my god, the brief shot of the Jurassic Park arcade game at 1:37 sent me back in time. I don't know how many quarters I spend on that as a kid, played it so much I could almost beat it with my eyes closed
I've experienced everything there is from the World side of the franchise and I would have no problem at all if they just decided to simply delete everything about it from the universe entirely.
Except for "trained" raptors, maybe. The concept felt like an organic progression for the raptors as a modern animal that had its potential squandered.

All we wanted was a world where humans and dinosaurs would have to coexist and see what would happen with all the chaos and terroir trying to survive instead we got grasshoppers
I for one have always said, a Series that is pre JP. That starts with a Young Hammond meeting a Young Lockwood. They come up with the idea, and the series follows them as they take their idea, their dream, and turn it into a reality. All the hardships along the way. One thing that is mentioned in the Novels, but not the movies, is just the shear amount of set backs they would have faced just to get their first living, breathing dinosaur. The amount of still births, the amount of defects, the complete failures, on top of the DX events. Would make for a very intriguing series to watch
What I'd like to see in future Jurassic world movies is more hybrid dinosaurs. Like the Spindominus Rex, the Spinoraptor, the Parazinosaurus, the Gigazinosaurus, that would be incredible! Great video, Klayton! Keep up the great work!

The Jurassic Park movies fans would definitely love to see are movies in which there has been living dinosaurs in the center of the Earth for millions of years before they were cloned back to life. And it’s not just dinosaurs, but also a kaiju including Godzilla
Per usual, LOVE your content Klayton. But man, love love love your idea for the next “Return to” trilogy. I’d be 100% down for that and completely agree that it would absolutely strengthen the entire franchise. It would add depth to the brand while simultaneously allowing the Heads time to plan the post-Dominion direction.
Would adapting Jurassic Park The Game into a movie be worth it? I mean it has a pretty good dark tone and to see that as a movie would be cool in my opinion. They would be able to bring back the old raptors, give dilophosaurus more screen time, have the troodons be more of a threat than the raptors and maybe show more species of dinosaurs that we haven't gotten to see.

I have an idea of of TV series where it follows the lives of every character in the original Jurassic Trilogy and the aftermath that left them after they've been to both islands.

Honestly what I want is a Jurassic Park Series (Similar to star wars visions) where different Creators and film directors could make their own short films to be in this series, I call it "Jurassic Park: Campfire tales", these stories will not be canon to the main timeline because they are else world stories (similar to Matt reeves batman) but do take inspiration from the main movies themselves, also the directors of these shorts can use any method of bringing the dinosaurs to life (ex: 2d animation, Stop-Motion, Animatronics, CGI, etc.) To show their creativity, These shorts can't be shorter than 5 minutes but can't be longer than 45 minutes (as a little rule), I think this Idea would allow different creators to do what they would do for jurassic Park and bring the fandom back as well.

One actor they could bring back would be Isabella Sermon playing Maisie's mom as a scientist, as she would be aging into playing a role from Jurassic Park's past. Maybe say Charlotte worked on creating the Spinosaurus on Site-B, so she could fill the Dr Wu role for these in-between films.
