Pentatonix won the 3rd season of the tv competition, "The Sing Off" and Home Free won the next season. Kevin Olusola (aka KO) is the beat boxer and a wonderful creative artist in his own right. Check out his version of "Down (Marion Hill Cover)". You will not be disappointed.

Pentatonix came before Home Free. They were on and won season 3 of the former NBC acapella competition called “The Sing-Off.” Started with a trio, but the competition required at least 5 members in order for you to submit an application & tryout. Avi (former bass vocalist who left the group whom Matt Sallee replaced. He is the other black guy in your first Pentatonix reaction to “Mad World”) was already friends with ppl member Scott Hoying (the guy with blond hair) & asked him to join their group. They found beat boxing extrodinaire & Cello player Kevin “KO” Olusola on his RUclips video of him “Cello-Boxing” that went viral. Scott has to talk him into it the most bc he just graduated from Yale University (YES THAT YALE) & had plans on going to Med school. Scott bought his ticket to Cali so he can see if joining the group was worth him taking a risk and not attending Med school where he’d have a guaranteed job once he graduated. He arrived & met his fellow band mates just days before tryouts. And the rest is history. The two songs you reacted to are good, but not even close to their best covers. Hopefully you watch their first Grammy Award Winning (they’ve won 3 of them throughout their years as a group) cover to a mixture of Daft Punk songs which they aptly named “DAFT PUNK.” Also watch their cover of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Then watch their most viewed video which they covered the song “Hallelujah” (it’s famously heard on “Shrek” the movie) Finally, react to their cover of “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)” mashup.

Home Free predominantly perform country songs (with some exceptions), Pentatonix do mainly mainstream music, but Voiceplay do a lot of theatrical type music. Their style reflects Pentatonix on many levels, but they make their own mark on the scene with their theatrical performances. Check out Oogie Boogie's song from the Nightmare Before Christmas. You will be entertained. I'll be waiting for your jaw to drop, lol
They have 3 Grammys: Daft Punk, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, and Jolene with Dolly Parton. You definitely need to check those out. And if you're wondering how they sound live, check out the live version of Hallelujah. Bohemian Rhapsody, Amazing Grace, Sound of Silence, Radioactive (with Lindsey Stirling) are great. Some of their original songs: Love Again, Happy Now, Thank You. Pretty much any of their Christmas songs. You can't go wrong with them.

The location was Bronson Cave in Griffith Park (Los Angeles) which was used in the original BATMAN TV series in the 1960’s.
