In 1978 I was floating on a tube down the Smith river in N. CA. Dredge’s at every curve. They were finding 1 ounce per day on average. Gold was $165/oz. I heard gold went up to $2300/oz on 4/5/24

16 minutes out of a 12 hour day. Still makes it a raw and visceral experience. This is summer season 2023? At the end of Season 17, Vern and Shawn realized that everything to 25 depth had been picked over for a hundred years. Finding missed spots in the Public Auction Claims was hit-or-miss. There is no way to prospect it except look for undisturbed cobble. At the 40 foot contour, the bottom hasn't been touched for 25,000 years. It took 12 years to find that out.

You say you clean up after 40 hours, but seems to me if you pull mats clean the for next dive starting with clean mats would allow for gold to absorb into bottom of carpets
The mats can absorb more than 50 oz, no problem. No need to wast time cleaning out every dive.

Navy dive charts indicate the no decompression limit at 40 feet is 200 minutes. Stay safe guys.
They have installed a nox system. Click on Vernon getting drunk as hell on the nox exhaust,lol.
We can stay down for 3 hrs 20 min with the nitrox and a 5 min wait at 15 feet.

What happened to the Nitrox system you guys were showing with Vernon getting high as a kite on the exhaust? Was he dredging for over 125 minutes which requires a few minutes decompression?
Yes we use it. We can stay down for 3 hrs 20 min with the nitrox and a 5 min wait at 15 feet.
I'm glad your on it ,I can see the gold being sucked up ,I hope it's good for ya all so to pay for the fuel cost and your time ,keep sucking there for sure until there's no bottom left in yellow
