This is amazing I'm crying but this is so relatable like this is what my parents do like I already know what's gonna happen and everytime I try and tell them or try and give hints they don't get it and it's like children know more than adults and it's true they just don't trust us or just doesnt want to believe us like we know a lot more than you think like I know what fucking abuse is having to deal with it half of my life it's so frustrating sometimes and damn know I'm venting sorry 😭

You have emotionally recked me in a way I didn’t think was possible. I’ve seen this trope before but this video that was actually a rollercoaster of emotions. This is the kind of thing that an accident prone twelve year old with english as their third language would write on ao3. I feel like I’ve cycled through emotions so many times during the viewing of this video that I will have to wait ten years before going through so many again. This has made me think about just running away to a forest to become a fox. I have school tomorrow man. I don’t think I’m going to see this song the same way ever again. You can’t do this to me.

Ok, this might be far fetch but hear/ read me out if you want. This will be long.
This video, or at least what the creator made with the song mixed with the situation and so on and most importantly when hawks say " Have you seen this gen of heros??? They're ready to overthrow anything they don't find fair".
Well it makes me think of us, GenZ, or the first part at least (cause genZ is in two parts 1st 1997-2005 and 2nd 2006-2013 (or 2012 people do not agree)). We're the ones breaking the cycle of our parents, and pushing the Millennials ideas to their full potential (gentle parenting (done right this time), seeing psychologist became the norm....). We were born and grew up with capitalism in our core, we discovered sociale media, and saw internet and technology evolve in a way that is really different from the previous generations. We were old enough to grow up without, but young enough to still grow as teens with them (the worst moment really to get into social media). We're the generation with the highest mental illnesses, depression and anxiety outside War situation (there still war but not in the countries I'm referring too, there will always be war unfortunately). We're are hyper aware of every suffering in the world + our own, and we accept it because it's just our daily life, our generation's thing. We are born to change things. We're born with the will to fight and brun the whole world if needed, because we care about our mental health, we want to get better and the world to get better, well most part of the gen. We're active and inform ourselves to the max, even without realizing it and participate in a lot of social fights, worldwide or not.We're trying to fight for what's fair. So we do crazy things, because even if we care about our mental health, we do not particularly care about our lives, we're a generation that doesn't answer "death" in first position when we're asked "what you're the most afraid of?". So we fight entitled people, we expose wrong doings, and we push boundaries to make things change. We use social media as our main tool and make a weapon out of it, because we can. We're child soldiers in a way, and we're delivered at the end of the war, to try and win this, while the people that were there before us fucked everything up already. We were kids, but never felt like it, or for a really short time, and now lots of us try to find that again. We're angry at the world and our parents and at society. And we take less bullshit from abuse, and take traumas seriously, because we understand that abuse is abuse and is NOT education. That's why we are less forgiving with our parents, yet we sympathize with them because they didn't/don't know better. We try to fight for what we believe in and we're depressed and anxious because it takes a big place in our lives even if we don't know it.
GenZ are child soldiers and we accept it. And we accept to die (not without a fight though), and are not scared because we're the first generation to not see a future for ourselves and that doesn't want kids (as we can't see a future for them either, we don't want to make them suffer like we do). Even soldiers in WWI and WWII believed in a future without the war they were in, and a future they could possibly have, they were making plans for the "after" when they could. Something we lack, cause the world is to messed up, and the previous generation put us there expecting us to make everything right again, and that's exactly what we're trying to do.
If you're GenZ know that you're someone really strong, because you might not see or directly feel the pressure on you, but it's enormous. Take care of yourself, and speak your mind, because you were born to be loud and change the world. Know that you're not alone, because the whole Gen is there too. We're sad and depressed babies for a reason. We're anxious for a reason. It's not your fault, it never was. I'm proud, even if all you did was go to the toilet.
Life's not easy, kids needs to be kids and if your less than 15 and you see this, you might be an angsty teenager, and you might find my comment cringe, but you're important, and don't forget to still be a kid, because you'll regret not enjoying it later. Because as you grow, life becomes hard on you all of a sudden more than you thought it would. You don't know what your future's hold anymore, because GenZ, never thought they would make it this far (at least a lot of them). So be a kid while it last, and never let that kid inside of you die, because you'll always need it.
And i wished my hero academia characters could have been kids longer, because the traumas they went through all happen in a year and may never truly heal. So even if they are fiction, i feel for them.
Sorry for the rant.
