Thank you for all your content here! I came back today to go through all your vids since I’m in a dark place. I have an exhibition coming up in six weeks and have been struggling with the last paintings. Just the other day I ruined my biggest and most cherished painting by varnishing it wrongly and now it’s destroyed. I am devastated since this painting was the one that actually made me come out of the closet and start showing my work to other people. Just listening to you here and other videos makes me feel that maybe there is hope after all.
Hi Monica, I am so sorry to hear that your cherished painting is ruined. I know of where you speak as I have had similar experiences. I'm glad my videos are helping you to just keep going. It's wonderful to know that my content has been instrumental in moving you out of your dark place. Sending you energy and determination! Best of luck with your shows... Marianne
@@mariannemitchellwholeart Thank you again, Marianne. I jus wanted to let you know that I found a way through, very much thanks to the knowledge you share which inspired me to try new ways and with that also finding new ways. I am forever grateful.
Hi Marianne! Great to see ya again…I AM one of those Meditators, into Allowing the Unfolding and engaging my Intuition…I enjoy your work a lot but prefer to stay more In the Flow of expression. Divergent thinking , Integration is something we Meditators and Shamanic Journeyers discuss as well…apply those understandings into how your Life presents. Nice! I have not seen ya in awhile… Life is not Linear so I continue to practice Being present. Keep it up, appreciate you!
Hey Kimm great to hear from you! Thanks for chiming in with your perspective on meditation and Shamanic Jouneyers.... Life is certainly anything but linear, totally agree! Hope you are well and enjoying whatever life is presenting to you these days!
I definitely start with wreckless abandon and move on to analysing what I have. I think my overall process is the same, or very similar. You might have helped my thinking on it all, and most importantly, my execution of it! Thanks Marianne.
Glad the content is helpful for you. I have (3) videos about composition: Exploring Composition in Abstract Painting, Composition in Abstract Painting, Star of the Show - Understanding Composition: Think about the movies. I hope you find these helpful!
I start with a bang ! reckless & intuitive & then gradually come to a dead halt...no idea where to now thinking & then just stash it away. I have a studio full of unfinished work 😢
Thanks for sharing your struggles here, Lucia! I hope my thoughts about "phase two" - Critical Analysis - will help lead you out of reckless abandon, and on into the integration of thinking and intuition so that you can reach resolution in your work. 🍀🙂
In many of your paintings you have these crisp edges that really add a nice defined feel t the paintings. It would be nice to hear about your technique on that. Do you achieve those wet on wet somehow and what kind of tools do you use? Thank you for making these videos!!
Hi there thanks for your comment about my crisp edges and how they are achieved. Check out Video 49 which addresses the making of edges... and I will consider making another one as well! Cheers to your artistic practice...
I’m a visual learner who watches a lot of art process videos. When there’s more than 7 minutes of talking without seeing any art making I’d rather read a book about art.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about how you learn from art process videos. There are many videos in the Whole Artist Mastery video channel that have more visual content. I invite you to peruse more videos in my YT channel. Cheers!
Hey everyone! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts about what you've learned from making abstract art! Cheers to your artistic practice...
