@@LamaLED With those weird hitboxes and bouncing barrels? Oh HELL no. The level got easier on the N Sane Trilogy with those spots on the floor marking where the barrels bounce, but on the original it is as bad as Road to Nowhere.
@@VixYW well, Road to Nowhere it's just tough, less than those annoying Sunset Vista and Slippery Climb. This last i remember has few awful hitboxes of those spikes on walls, in some points or when you have to jump on birds.
@@DanDeyBananaJoe Slippery Climb is on a whole different difficulty level. I'd argue it was the most difficult in the series... before the N Sane Trilogy DLCs and Crash 4 were a thing, that is.

This is incredible; honestly the best part of seeing modded levels in action is seeing how far they can be pushed in difficulty.

True, i would like me some kinda of impossible crash bandicoot difficulty where they give you like a set of lifes idk lets say 30 (of course you can get more throughout the levels) but the difficulty should be extremely increased

@@LilXancheX yes it might have taken me like 15 minutes but it was hard, i like the impossible, the literally cancer type levels that put shit loads of enemies and pixel perfect jumps, because when i see the first level of crash 1, i always think "what if this was harder?"

It's very nice to see crash 1 with the crash 3 / n sane trilogy mechanics of 2 wumpas per jump and the box counter
And obviously the nitros in crash 1. This mod really looks fun and well done
The part with the large barrels and failing, levitation platforms is extremely clever.
The big barrels is a great idea and really fit the level
At this rate we're gonna see an actual playable lava cave mod in the future

Um, you still have to on the original Crash Bandicoot.

I wasn't thinking the death route was seriously, this is one of the best Crash bandicoot mods that I've ever seen!
The idea with the giant barrels and the plattform you have to use to avoid them is brilliant!
Functional box counter and nitros in CB1? Truly awesome! Your mastery over the PSX trilogy grows with every day, airumu. Love the different take on Toxic Waste.
Now this is a Crash Bandicoot level that feels like a combination of Nitro Processing (Crash 4) and Toxic Waste.
You come up with such great mods that they should be in the game

That level would terrify me with all those tight jumps, the doors and the bigger barrels because the original level is already hard as it is. However, well done for not dying.

Your mods are fantastic and your level designs are super creative! Do you have a video that explains how to use the Crash level modding program and what you do when you're creating levels? If not, would you look into making something like that in the future? (I like this stuff and I've always wanted to learn how it works.)

Awesome level! I was so focused on the gameplay I didn't even think about the fact that you'd modded nitro crates and the detonator into CB1 until the end of the level. It's already so mind blowing, imagine what will be possible when changing level geometry is figured out.

He mixed that Level with the crash 3 hud and some crates (nitro activator and nitros). Probably is another ported level but working well 👌

All we need now is Dual-Shock supposed for Crash 1, and then this mod could become the definitive version of playing the original Crash Bandicoot besides the N Sane Trilogy.

Amazing, there needs to be a backwards running level with one of those giant barrels instead of a boulder. This would've made a great second harder level of this type.

I miss the old Crash Bandicoot diamonds animation. More clear and look like gems than the remastered one without any excess lighting.
I saw that the hud is from crash 3. I was wondering if is it possible to bring the gems of crash 3 (with fireworks) also in crash 2 and 1?

Hey! Great job! I cant seem to be able to run the game in bizhawk, it freezes at the sony logo. I made the .cue, no idea why this happens (on epsxe it runs just fine), any ideas why?

It wasn't that hard, but the hardest part for me was figuring out how the HUD works.
