    Around 7:00 for why using a function of frequency is better than a function of time.

      Some times we need these spectrums for analysing purposes. When we do things like amplitude modulation we need these spectrums.

      @@tharinduabeyrathna9498 I think, this one is used for the periodic signal asymmetric condition, and when we get symmetric waveforms we cannot use this form to get the frequency spectrum, I think, we need to use exponential Fourier series to get the frequency spectrum in periodic symmetric waveforms.

      Without complex numbers representing a signal in frequency domain does not make sense.
