Hi thanks for showing us your Capt Scarlet ,I never bought him myself just the 5 Tracey brothers and they are top notch apart from a few small things, the point you bring up about the colour mismatch is well made the screen used marionettes uniform ,boots and hat were made using the same gloving leather/suede from a company called Pitards , you would think for the price you pay they could have made a bit more of an effort in this area hopefully someone will try again, all the best.

Thanks for taking the time to do this review and for your candour, it will really help collectors make an informed choice if they are hunting this guy down on the secondary market. As you say , looks good from a distance but not every release can be a hit. I too lost money on Fennec Shand when BCS went bust and at the time it really annoyed me no end as this is an expensive hobby. A pity as their 007 line is pretty good it has to be said, and I do have smaller items from them, I have half the platoon of Dad’s Army in bobble head form , alas Walker, Godfrey and Fraser were never made, a real pity. Anyway it is what it is … Enjoyed hearing your thoughts on this piece, great stuff coming up I am keen to see, have a great weekend and as always , mind how you go

Like you I had several pieces on PO at the time and lost quite a lot of money which annoyed me, especially when I found out they had been “keeping the lights on” at the business with peoples PO money, and would never get it back. That being said they did make some good pieces in their time, hopefully the IP’s that went with them will be picked up by another more stable company (KP, IconiQ 🤔) I really like those Dads Army bobble heads but never picked any up as I was hoping they would do the Home Guard in 1/6 scale at some point…..I can but dream🤣 take care of yourself and happy collecting👍
I have this Figure and a thunderbirds Scott Tracy. Very happy with both and had no issues! I think you just got a 'bad' one. I had pre ordered the Captain Black figure but ...well, you know the rest of the story. I did get my money back though.

It’s good to hear you got your money back unfortunately I wasn’t so lucky, I had Laurel & Hardy, Capt. Black and Commander Koenig all on PO and lost it all. I was tempted by numerous BCS figures, but the horrors of the QC and their never-quite-there portrait painting kept me away. This was a huge temptation as the small Matchbox figures are all I have from Captain Scarlet. I'm sorry your pain persists, but it's probably going to be a long time before another is done officially.

Thank goodness someone can be honest about this one. Like you say, a bit of a train wreck up close and personal. However he does look good in a collection and he is a bit of a legend.

I had this on pre-order from Big Bad Toy Store since 2019. They finally cancelled my order after 4 years when Big Chief went bankrupt.
