the way they captured so much small details from the book (professor binns, the goblin rebellion, the kitchens, peeves, and even the common rooms?!?) makes me so happy 😭😭😭

@@rudolfgernd8760 trying to stay positive, but I do have this fear as well. I’m afraid that having all those hands pulled in so many different directions will inevitably lead to mediocre part that lead up to a mediocre whole. I feel the safest choice is to have maybe, 3 real big systems, a few minor.
The one solace I do have is that it looks like this game has been in development for awhile now.
I honestly didn’t think they’d let your character do the killing curse. That alone makes me think this could actually be an interesting game, with a cool fighting system.

I think if we got the option to use it, you would automatically become a dark wizard. It is extremely overpowered. Also there has to be some limit. I mean imagine running around Hogwarts yelling AVADA KEDAVRA!

That avada kedavra is cute, but I'm sure they won't just let you kill all the npcs you want. That would already be too much fun I guess.

I just kept watching the trailer saying, "We're the villain" over and over again, I mean, the Player literally incinerated people and struck others down with lightning, and the moment the player used Avada Kedavara I legitimately said out loud "I told you we were the villain!" It will be interesting to see how play styles and combat will vary based on how evil you want to get

Playing the Harry Potter games growing up I would’ve never imagined something this incredible. Looks so so good. Idk if I want Slytherin or Ravenclaw but I will be as evil as possible 100%

This seems to have more content than all of the previous Harry Potter games combined. When I was casting FLIPENDOOO on Philisopher's Stone, I never could have imagined that someday I would play a game like this.

One of my most memorable and nostalgic gaming experiences was playing through the PS1 and PS2 Harry Potter games when I was a kid, exploring the halls of the castle, finding secret doors behind bookshelves, battling weird and wonderful creatures and collecting Witches & Wizards cards (I hope this game has those!). I'll admit I cried a little watching this trailer, thinking back to those times... If this game manages to capture even 10% of the wonder and awe I felt back then, it might just become one of my favourites of all time! 😭💕
I hear you!! I played the oldest harry potter PC games back in my elementary school. The first two games were so memorable that I always dream about the castle when I was a kid.
I am not a big Potter fan far from it seen all the movies did not like it much but the setting and the world Interested me loved the games tho flying foot balls was very fun.
Never had a chance to play a Harry Potter game growing up but definitely tried be Witch or wizard from the series in other game ahem Elder Scrolls other rpgs. Good times

You cant do that actually. Even if they say its open world, there is a storyline behind it and cant avoid that so cant avoid the combat. I think its like uncharted 4, but with a load of missions and storyline.
@@NJ-uy9br It's probably more like Bully where you can theoretically ignore the story missions and just go to class, but they will just be minigames that don't progress the narrative.

This is honestly one of the most comprehensive gameplay teasers I've ever seen.
True, they didn't hide some graphical bugs and some shadering details, they just showed the game to us without filtering it with fake gameplays

Rockstar comes to mind. This gameplay overview is definitely their style. Just check RDR2 videos they released a few months prior to launch to see what I'm talking about.
@@THNF89 cyberpunk did something similar. With any game that is ambitious as this you need to be cautious. This is a monumental undertaking of a game, the sheer volume of the world, let alone all the unique mechanics and systems in play, its not going to be easy sticking the landing.
I love that you can become good or evil - makes it fun to be free on either spectrum and can even replay the whole thing as the opposite path you previously chose. I'm so excited for this!!!

I love how they didn't copy the castle exactly from the movies. Some locations are almost identical while others have the developer's own spin on them. This makes exploring way more exciting! Also, these assets are so amazing that they'd be a waste for just 1 game, which is why I'm hoping that after this they will remake the books in their own unique style. They have so much world building that got cut out of the movies, which would be fantastic to experience in this kind of immersive medium. Anyway, can't wait to play Hogwarts Legacy, my #1 most awaited game ever!
True, they can make it more book accurate and add new areas from each book. And probably when the next gen consoles come out, use them all together

@@bigchungus7050 I believe a ps5 pro won't be here for a while either considering you can put a better ssd into the ps5 and its specs run all new games at peak performance at a better price point than pc, and we haven't tapped into 120 fps or 8k much yet!
True, but I also like that they kept the resemblance to the movies instead of creating their own interpretation. It makes things fresh and new but also has that special nostalgia factor and the classic HP-atmosphere from the movies when you explore the castle and visit all the familiar iconic locations like the Great Hall, the common rooms, the class rooms etc... The graphics, locations, characters and creatures all look fantastic and capture the spirit of the books and movies very well. The game has clearly great art direction and very passionate developers.
This looks incredibly fleshed out and has a lot of customization which has been missing from games for all too long. I hope this turns out as good as it appears.

Fleshed out, mate. Just in case you are not a native speaker , learn phrases and idioms through their roots and origin. For instance, to flesh out is easy enough to understand as it means to give something more weight or details as in adding flesh to bones. Learning English that way will bring you closer to the soul of the language as well as steer you clear of these common errors.

This actually looks good tbh. The gameplay looks good as well and so does hogwarts. I like that this is exploring the HP universe without the majority of the characters from HP. It’s an RPG set way back in time before Voldemort and Harry. I really like that. It’s a new story entirely not just a repeat of what we’ve already seen before so many times.
we hav never seen anything like this, even if they had kept current times and the old characters, it would've still felt like a complete different game.
The devs should be so proud! Honestly looks INCREDIBLE the trailer just kept getting better and better!

After the second playtrough you will realize how it has nearly low or no impact on your playtrough ^^
I know many people will do so, as you will get different sequences and different quests based on the house you choose. It’s even across the board, so no house gets more content than the others, but the experience will be a bit different for each house, and for die hard fans, that’s priceless!

It would be so amazing if a small part of the game allowed quidditch between houses and other players to gain house points and so on. I’m so excited for this game to come out it looks amazing!!

This looks better than I was expecting, looks beyond epic, the amount of detail, the open world, the gameplay, the graphics, the characters, the systems, flying, spells, potions, animations, I'm speechless, did not expect this... this trailer got me HYPED lol.. I'm 100% doing a play through of this on the channel, can't friggin wait... hope it's co-op in some form... free roaming with a friend, exploring Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, etc would be EPIC.

@@Hani_Santa Not sure, as of now, no.. I would love for them to implement some sort of team death match with the wand combat, and for an online Quiddich mode... AT LEAST.
A friend being able to play the story co-op with you, just not shown in cutscenes would be ideal though... but that's being greedy, cause the game looks phenomenal, and i'd be just fine if it was purely a single player experience.

I adore the new teachers, they look whimsical and charming! I adored the Harry Potter games while growing up but they always felt like an uncomplete, short experience. I can't help but be excited for this one!

Honestly the only thing that makes it Harry Potter I'd the fact that it takes place in that universe. Other than that all the characters are different and it's just a really good magic wizard simulator.

The harry potter games till the Prisoner of Azkaban used to be amazing. Especially Chambers of secrets. I used to talk about how they no longer explore this massive world and now WB has given us the long-awaited game. I'm probably going to spend a considerable amount of time of my life in this game.
Absolutely! I loved Chamber of Secrets, it was a really good game with good gameplay mechanics and satisfying secrets - and evoked that feeling of wonder and mystery while playing. In a sense, while it only loosely followed the movie plot, it had the opportunity to become a good game. I still play it to this day sometimes, because it's just so fun.. and the music score is simply amazing!
Sadly the following games went downhill fast because they stopped caring about gameplay and put more emphasis on 'realistic graphics' to pander to the fans of the actors.
At this point I don't know if I should allow myself to be excited, but I really, really hope this game will turn out as good as it currently looks... Then I will cherish it forever.

I really love how you can control the way you fight. Being able to pull, push and lift enemies feels super cool.
I'm getting heavy Jedi: Fallen Order vibes in some places, but with so much more of its own Harry Potter uniqueness. This game looks awesome and is definitely on my PS5 wishlist

My 8 year old self is screaming. This is the game I've been hoping for for most of my life. I do hope there's just as much - if not more - story and exploration as opposed to focusing on combat, though. Otherwise that could kill it for me.

This is fkn incredible. Mind-blowing how much depth and effort has been put into this. I can see myself playing this for hours on ends. I really thought I'd outgrown my HP phase but projects like these will always keep that part of me alive. Very excited!

@@StuffAndMemes "Garbage" is a bit strong, but I did see some animation quircks for sure. That being said, rigging is often repolished at the end of development. Overall, I had an "old style pushed to new heights" vibe. They clearly aren't using the latest gen stuff, but they seem to use the old tools quite well.

Everything looks great so far but I feel there's no weight to the spells. HP 5/6 game had the best spells and physics. The reparo sequence at 6:00, the rocks look so fake arranging themselves and the duel attack spells felt light.
What a wonderful game. They should make a film series or even books about it.

Growing up playing the older Harry Potter games this is the kind of Wizarding world game I've always wanted. Creating your own character and experiencing being a student at Hogwarts I can't wait.

The game looks extremely promising with all the abilities and fighting mechanics but the real question is how buggy and on the verge of broken will it be lets hope that its not as buggy as recent released games
Cannot say much, but then production team along with a few others have been anal about making sure the game is perfect, all the way up to the sound even being a little too loud at certain points. At this point it’s just tweaking the game for the most part. It’ll be better than it looks!

i assume because of how long theyve been working and perfecting the game and bug report will be looked at and worked on fairly quickly compared to other games, if the bugs arent game breaking and don't stuff up my gameplay I wouldn't mind them.
@@alchemist824 It's cool mechanic indeed however I have mixed feelings about it since Accio isn't supposed to be able to be used on living things only objects. Maybe instead they should have used Levi Corpus? But then again Snape "invented" that spell and he's not alive in the 1800s.

I think the reasoning is you haven't been accepted at Hogwarts until Year 5, which is odd but I'm sure they'll explain it.
I grew up playing all the Harry Potter games since childhood and this upcoming game alone just met my expectations! This looks very amazing! It's incredible how the team managed to develop something this great! I can't wait to start exploring around Hogwarts and Hogsmeade AND HOPEFULLY DIAGON ALLEY! Super excited!
I hope that the fact we can turn evil comes into play more then just using evil spells like maybe it can have a effect on the world. Such as our companions being more afraid of us maybe our magic corrupts our bodies (Cole from Infamous is a good example that'd be pretty sick to see) I just want the world to react to the path we choose. BTW I am not even a Harry Potter fan might actually become one now because the game looks amazing. So feel free to discredit this comment
I think the devs will include a "dark side" for our character but i dont think it will change the whole main story. You can ear it during the video : as a player, you have to find out and stop the evil from the world of wizards, so yeah, it will probably focus on the relationship with our mates or teachers, but not in the story, well i guess.

i can discredit by saying these system existed as far as star wars KOTOR games... yet because they're older now many people doesn't seem to know about it as much or forget it
but i'm glad they're finally coming with a big harry potter game since all the other ones were basically just rewriting the movies into a game and kind of crappy and finally a game company is using the harry potter world at a much higher potential that it deserves (but i'm not going to be too hyped about it until i get to try it for myself and make a better opinion about it because lots of games makes big promises and ends up being just little parts of the game that they show and stuff) so i mean we'll see if it's truely great or if it's an illusion

The devs said we wouldnt be able to learn Avada Kedavra, but here they surprised us by showing we actually will be able to. So it seems so! I would love to do an evil run, sounds like so much fun.

@@DrChillin They will probably just have our character use it as part of the plot...but not let us learn or use it outside of these cutscenes. Don't see why not though. If we can shoot people in games...then surely the AK would not be much different. Far less blood for one. Compared to a bullet the AK's quite....humane. Instant with no pain.

Hogwarts legacy could be the Single player/co op game
then you have Hogwarts World a huge double the size game that an mmorpg you can start the game from 2 schools Hogwarts aka Legacy or the American version or what listed after completing your early life their you go to the larger world and visit larger areas of the potter universe .
Or Depending on your irl Location it automatically Determined where your school is and where you start on the larger would after words the world is your oyster after you do the school stuff you can get a job or create a job faction to join ectra no real over arching story and player driven would make in chaotically fun. and set in a parallel Universe to not chaos having with the timeline.

This looks so exciting, all the magic to learn, the creatures etc. Also if the quest is to discover this forgotten magic that goblins or other dark wizards are after, we're probably gonna be warned in the story that we're messing with power we can't understand, let alone control

Honestly, I was sceptical that this game would fail since Harry Potter hasn’t been exactly popular recently but even outside of my nostalgia for the series this game just looks great as a game in general.
An RPG CAC Open World game set in Hogwarts is so much something we already should have had.

It's awesome to see a game in the Hogwarts/Wizarding universe that actually looks amazing. I was skeptical by the first few minutes but by the end I was completely sold. All I ever wanted in a game like this, and I'm glad it doesn't focus on Harry or any of the characters we already know. I hope this lives up to expectations!

We could have used this game "about" ten years ago. Still it looks like most of what we always wanted which was to get the full studying at Hogwarts lifestyle.

10 years ago would have been the PS3 gen and that gen has aged terribly. The age where they switched from stylised to realism but the facial technology wasn’t there yet.
We are so lucky that it’s happening now. It will forever look good and the look they’ve gone for is timeless.

The combat in the movies was always subpar IMO (it’s hard to make wand combat badass lol), but it looks super dope in this game. So excited
Yeah, CGI limitations can totally ruin magic systems on screen. The movies also had the limitation of coming out 20 years ago. CGI effects have taken massive steps forward since then.
All that being said; I think the Voldermort-Dumbledore fight is my favorite scene in the entire series and it still (mostly) holds up.
I had non-stop goosebumps throughout this video! It genuinely excites me so much seeing the one franchise that made my childhood, come to life in a game I can't wait to play.

This looks amazing, wow! After Hogwarts Mysteries I was kind of ignoring this game but I gotta say, I am a big Harry Potter fan and I am impressed. I just hope that there is an easy way to ensure getting the house that we are in because I would be mad if I did not get my house (Hufflepuff).
