The itm wasn't designed to be used eith the daikin one plus. It's doable but an expensive add since it becomes more of a monitor only device. If I get an email application in the near future I'll definitely do one. For some reason I thought I did a brief snippet on it in this video but maybe I cut it due to time so I'll go back and look. Yes ill try to have something for it just not sure when it will be. Best bet initially is to reach out to your local vendor they should have someone who can help walk you through the steps to set it up. Most of it is pretty step by step simple in regards to how it just has stuff that needs to get filled in such as server address, itm email. Etc. I will say however I'm not sure if you can generate an email just from any value displayed on the itm. Example if room temp gets above x degrees send email. I believe it's error/alarm only. But I would need to double check. We use email so rarely these days on the itm I haven't memorized every item and feature it can email notifications out for.
This is a great video series! After changing the IP and rebooting I have not regained communication with the Daikin network. Any ideas on how to resolve this?
Changing the ip doesn't affect the daikin side of communication. Wait for a few minutes it should re-establish com. If using a remote browser you'll need to type in the new ip.
Via a phone app no not that I'm aware of. But using html web browser such as Google Chrome which you can get on apple products you can dial up the itm. Would need to check on the A51 though
I believe the a51 is an older version. The software is a web interface I believe was required on older units to get the web access. Today's central controllers have it all built in no license needed. So the answer is yes you can do it on your Apple product through chrome but if you don't already have that gear just buy today's itm controller which dcm601a71 (recently updated to b71 suffix).
@@InverterAlways Thanks. I hoped they have something like 'Daikin Online Controller' app but for iTM. Accessing iTM via browser works. But it's not a user friendly thing.
That is a really old version. It may or may not have web function built in. Once upon a time it was an adder service. Did you go in to service menu and enable web access from there? If so then you should see the icon for setup. It's possible you don't have it enabled from service menu. Try that first then let me know. Might need to do a backup and update software to later version. It'll wipe the itm though so you need a backup and preset launcher software to reload it on the newer version. It's a process.
I'm an IT guy setting up remote access for one of these at a client and I'm concerned that there doesn't seem to be any HTTPS support. I'm very hesitant to put anything, especially an HVAC system, on the internet without the capability for encrypted traffic
This is a common concern. The itm does have its own login and password that you or the technician create. So there is no default access when someone types in the IP address. I've seen anyone get in to a controller without having the login info, and even if they did the only access they'd have would be the itm screen. If the site has something that still concerns you, you can always put the itm on its own network, cradlepoint router, or other.
I would check the server settings usually there's something there that is causing the issue. Make sure to have an IT person from on site there to help with the server setup as they should also have all the IP info for grtting the ITM online for remote access if not already done. I always test remote access first to ensure it's online. I've also seen in firewall settings on the server side some data blocked. All traffic in and out must be available and nothing. Even audio codecs can get blocked. It gets a little above my head once we get this deep into server stuff because I am not an IT Profressional. I've struggled with many IT professionals as well setting these up because the email portion can be very finicky.
@@InverterAlwaysIn the WEB part, I can log in to ITM using the IP address, but the EMAIL notification cannot be sent normally. The same G-MAIL setting REIRI FOR OFFICE can send messages normally. By the way, ITM and REIRI FOR OFFICE use the same router.
You can contact me via my channel email. It's on my about tab on the main channel page. It doesn't show up in app though only through web browsers from what I've seen.
I seem to be unable to connect to ITM web from outside local LAN - is there some setting I am missing? I have port-forward setup on router to ITM controller and able to reach it inside LAN. No such luck from remote site.
I may not be super helpful here as I'm not an IT expert. But usually it's an issue with the port forwarding rules. I would consult an IT person who may be able to help with this in better detail. This is part of the setup I always leave to the building IT folks. I just tell them what the itm needs they do the backend stuff on site themselves. I know your router needs to have some capabilities such as dns hosting or something like that. I probably have the verbiage wrong here though. But when I set up a port forward for other devices I've had to make sure I use some sort of intermediate site to get me the host. I'm not sure exactly how to explain it. But this may be a good portion to research or check out some videos on youtube about creating a port forward as they should all help here. The device you're forwarding shouldn't make a difference if it's just an ip address.
@@InverterAlways Thanks for a reply. I have it working now. The reason was SIM card that was in router was not setup for static IP from GSM operator. They firewall all dynamic IP's in their network for security. I had them change plan to static IP and port forwards work now.
waw, tks for shared. Brazil here!!!! new member
Thank you!! Hope these videos helped you out. They are just touching on the basics but, still lots of good info 👍
Invaluable - THANKS
Haha thanks Michael!
Any chance of seeing an e-mail setup video soon? I'm trying to use the iTM to email alarms based on SmartOne+ Thermostat values.

Hi. Is there any way to control Daikin AC's from Apple iPhone via iTM DCM601A51 (with DCM007A51 license)? Any app? Thx

I get the adobe flash player not suppoerted error when I try to access remotely
Your itm version is not up to date. Update it past 2.05 so that it has html5 because flash player hasn't been supported for a few years now.

How I can change the temperature range
