Abhinav knows how to take interviews, absolutely brilliant. Savarkar was actually the greatest liberal to be ever born in India. And today these pseudo-liberals have completely changed the meaning of liberalism. Compared to Savarkar, Nehru's life was like bed of roses.

Although Savarkar might not have mentioned his views on women in particular, there are many instances from his life and literature where he idealizes strong and fierce women. Some examples.
    1. His family diety of Astabhuja Bhavani was his primary inspiration behind portraying freedom as a fierce goddess.
    "हे अधम रक्तरंजिते सूजन पुजिते"
Line from the poem puts forward libert as a fierce women who slays evil doors.
    2. His poetry "ने मजसी ने" where he is talking about India as his mother he talks to the ocene and warns him,
    "अबला न माझी ही माता रे"
That is my mother is not an 'abala'.
    3. In a play he wrote called 'सन्यस्थ खड्ग' (renounced sword), he potrays the wife of the commander of Shakya Army as a fearless women who disguises as a man in order to fight in the Shakya Army. She thinks not even a second to sacrifice the life of her husband for the good of the nation. She is again compared to goddess Durga. If anyone understands Marathi I would recommend them to read this play. Online pdf is available free. One of my favourite works of Savarkar.
I am only telling from the things I have read so far. I am sure such depictions would be found in his works that I haven't read yet as well.

    My 2 cents:
Great question and answers too from Abhinav. You are probably one of the young yet mature minds of new India. The quality of your interviews reflect that 👌
I read Vikrams first volume on Savarkar Series 2 times. Wonderful book and a great tribute to one of the great sons of Bharatha Matha
Veer Savarkar was a master political strategic thinker, probably the best India ever had after Acharya Chanskya. As Vikram rightly told, Veer Savarkar was a great technocratic leader, not a mass leader like MKG. Yet, his thoughts and strategies for freedom struggle and after that were ahead of his time and what he told about political Islam is very much true even today 🙂
Whether we like him or not, we can not ignore him. A self proclaimed non violent government of India spending 50 billion USD every year and that too building this military strength since 1962 war is a true reflection of security strategy needed by India as predicted by Veer Savarkar way back 1930s 🙂
No matter what people's fake propaganda, Veer is a Veer forever in the minds of Indians. Thanks Vikram for waking up sleeping Indians with this great book. A must for new age Indian🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I find it difficult to digest that Savarkar actually used the word "Hindu" which was coined by Europeans. We are an ancient dharmic civilization with an "open" culture. Anyway, India is also not a native word :P

Savarkar asking for a secular state?
While Muslim league demanded a religious state and was successful in getting it.
Radical demand must be met with an opposite and equally radical demand. If Savarkar and his associates would've pushed for a Hindu (religious not geographical like the RSS says) Rashtra, we would not have been facing a threat to our civilization, but sadly our 'Hindutvavaadi' leaders were secular at heart while the enemies were not and we lost.
I lost my respect for Savarkar after knowing all this.
Sad to know Savarkar was for 'progressive', 'secular', 'socialist'(everything emerging from west for very specific problems that India never faced) state.
It's interesting to observe that, what we have right now in India (secularism, socialism and shit) , is exactly what Savarkar wanted and we never get tired of blasting the current system but at the same time we see Savarkar as a hero of Hindu Renaissance and look upto him as a very great thinker and visionary who saw the threats Hindus faced from our enemies and had a solution for those problems.🤷‍♂️
Savarkar was my idol because I thought he had groundbreaking ideas which went against the mainstream then, but sadly, he was no different than any other Congress leader at that time maybe just he had a little 'hinduness' more than them and nothing much to offer which could change Bharat in long run.
Sadly we are paying exactly for what Savarkar wanted and yet calling him a hero.
I still hold Savarkar as a reformer for his stand against caste discrimination.
But the way he is portrayed that he wanted 'Hindu Rashtra' while in actuality he wanted a 'secular' state is not known by many Hindutvavadis on internet(like me,until I saw this video) , they hail him as a hero and demand Hindu Rashtra, which Savarkar never wanted.
So, Savarkar was a freedom fighter like many others in the Congress party not some guy who wanted a Hindu civilizational state, now I am no more a 'Hindutvavadi', seems like Savarkar never understood the character of our civilizational enemies, looks like he never understood that if India is a secular country the enemies of Sanatan will eventually hijack Bharat like it is happening today🤷‍♂️
Savarkar also seems to have this very naive idea of 'peaceful coexistence' of all religions ,which no sane individual would have if he would know that 'peaceful coexistence' is only and only a Hindu idea and it is not reciprocated by other religions. And about 'equality' before law, doesn't the Constitution say so even today?
Don't the Hindus feel discriminated in their own land even though the Constitution says what Savarkar wanted?
If Hindus have all that Savarkar wanted, what more are they fighting for in the name of Savarkar? Shouldn't the Hindus stop fighting by the logic of Savarkar?
I feel like I was being scammed( like many others) by the internet because Savarkar was portrayed as the pioneer of the Hindu nation, which he in fact never wanted.
Sad, I will never call myself a 'Hindutvavadi' again. I would rather call myself a 'Hinduvadi' who wants Hindu land for Hindus and Hindus alone.

The need of the hour , day , year (and across decades) is awareness , activism and numbers.
      1. Make sure all are aware of the dangers from the 2 non native religions which are corrupting by force and stealth
      2. Give all business , social service donations and money to Sanatan shops/institutions
      3. Actively discuss and help each group of like minded people around us
      4. Numbers are the biggest political driver. Sanaatni friends to be encouraged to have at least 3 or 4 kids instead of the current trend of 1 . If we want our future generations to have any chance of surviving - else the fate of Hindus in Pak will eventually come here .....

If RSS was so pious then why was he doing Hindu Muslim at that time also when everybody was fighting for freedom. They were even boot-licking Britishers at that time. A proper answer will be awaited, not abuses.

@32:45 Two wrongs do not make a right. When you unleash barbarism for a specific cause , it hardly ever stays contained to that. People who would've been used to perform those acts to set an example could not have been expected to go back to a normal life, they would've found excuses or manufacture other "wrong doers" in their own community to be able to repeat there acts whenever they want.

It is not as simple as you think it is. Suppose you were chased by a street dog and you had to hit him hard to defend yourself. Will you hit every other dog just because a street dog chased you and tried to bite you once. Swatantryaveer Savarkar is tryiing to convey a simple rule "If they don't follow the rules of war, you should not too".

That was the current of those times. People had models of Japan's industrial model which really worked for them and Russian industrial model which was supposed to have been successfully at those times. Most leaders thought of nationalisation as a good thing during those days. Nationalisation was considered by many as best way to industrialize a nation. Very few people like Swatantra party were in opposition to such policies. You should not lose respect for him just based on his economic views at certain point of his life. Afterall he was not an economist.
