    6:00 Its for the Gpu monitor cables if you want to mount the gpu verticle at the radiator spot.
    The cables must go out of the case somewhere.

    The grommet at the back is to run the video cable(s) if you use the upright GPU option, since that places the business end of the video card at the front top of the case, leading the cable(s) to exit behind the motherboard.
    As for putting a rad in the bottom, it is possible to do so with vertical GPU, as you can move the entire motherboard/IO side of the rear of the case up, as with previous versions of the O11. Problem is, you probably will not then have room at the top if you want a rad there as well.
    Neve mind on the latter. I think it's just the O11 XL that lets you do that.

      too bad this whole computer has to be jerry-rigged to make it work.....be nice if they would have done their homework and designed it right from the get-go. if Kelly Johnson took 5 or 6 go's of it once in air, you'd have splatter-sandwich.

    Actually bought this case from microcenter with the bitspower water cooling kit love it. the only thing wrong with this case to put fans in the bottom depending on motherboard you will need a 90 degree usb3.0 adaptor as it will not allow for the middle fan, the grommet also for exterior water cooling to loop lines. I went a 5950x strix 570 64 gig of ram 2 sn850, and 3090 just as alderlake was released dont regret it at all idles at 26c no problems.

    • @quigonkenny
      @quigonkenny 2 года назад

      Was that so even with the side fan tray in the reverse position (closer to the side wall of the case, right up against the mesh)? I've seen people demonstrating that it can get in the way of front edge motherboard IO if in the forward position, but reversing it fixes the issue.

    If you wanna put a radiator in the bottom while vertically mounting your GPU, then you can actually move the mount up for like 2-3 PCIe spaces. There is a cover you remove and then fasten the vert bracket there buuuut the GPU does cover the CPU a bit

    You don't want to put the radiator in the bottom, it's best to have it above the pump, otherwise air bubbles will collect in the pump and it'll get ruined pretty quickly.

      @jerrywatson1958 2 года назад +1

      @Dinxsy I disagree with you mate. I have a 011D and I only use the bottom for air intake like a chimney. The top and the side can fit 60 mil thick radiators. The two of them can cool a Threadripper with 6900XT or 3090ti with ease. I currently run a 45 mil on the side and a 30 mil in the top. To reach 70c on my 5600X CPU/5700XT LC, I have to put the top and side back panels on and game for and hour. The Lian Li 011D Evo case to me really it's the perfect case for a duel loop setup as well.

    • @dinxsy8069

      @@jerrywatson1958 I mean in regards to having the GPU at a vertical with rad and fans in the lower. Didn't say the case was shite overall for air flow. In that regards it's great as I have 3 O11 setups running 10 hours a day in the same room with fine temps. That's what's wrong with this world everyone is wrong, no one afforded their input.

    A BUILD? No my son, get a couple MORE in and DO SEVERAL! 🙂😄😇. These are cases for getting your mojo on and working that Old Skool TTL magic. From the several reviews I watched before this one, it seems there are a lot of potential clashes with the various options. I for one would really enjoy a canny builder such as yourself stretching the 011 Evo's legs with a couple or three builds. I do hope to see A LOT MORE of this case and the Torrent as canvases for you to go mad on. Fifteen minutes I thought was skimping it, but I can see your point: there is almost too much to the case for a review to do it proper justice. Let's have The Builds back, eh? I don't think there is really any point to CPU/GPU/Mobo reviews when critical components like DDR5 and middle to high end graphics are nigh-on unobtainable and therefore stupidly priced, especially when overclocking is perhaps a thing of the past, and every card is so much-of-a-muchness that slapping a waterblock on the base offering will undercut the "high end" to some tune.
    We are all going to be thumb twiddling for a good while yet, we should USE that time to PLAN what we are going to DO when it actually becomes possible to put together something with all the bells and whistles. CONTENT to to that end would be a MAHOOSIVE help, and I think a mahoosive help to the channel and, more importantly, your well-being as well. What was that once-in-a-blue-moon award, TTL White Gold was it? I can see the 011 Evo POTENTIALLY deserving of such, but there are such a plethora (How often do you hear that word? Yours might be the first time I've heard it used for a decade or more!) of build choices and potential conflicts that the only way to TT-teLL (😁) is build in it. I remember you enthusing about the Cosmos II back in the day, reckoning it would be your Case of the Year (Or whatever your year-end award was). Come the years end, not only didn't it place, but I don't think it even got a mention!
    We need your special sauce, stat!!!
