This is so true everything you said in this reading. he’s a Leo and I’m a Cancer I tried to love and guide him I supported him in every way and he wouldn’t grow I became drained and depleted I didn’t have nothing left to pour into myself and it affected me badly because I couldn’t show up for myself & my kids. I love him dearly but had to release him because he wouldn’t love himself nor his child. I tried for 5 yrs and he just got comfortable with not changing very stubborn and selfish. I know he can be a great person but he has healing to do.❤
Independent children learn to govern themselves by any means necessary. It is very difficult, if not impossible for a child focused on survival to provide the desired love, care, and nurturing that a parent/parents who are absent, physically and/or emotionally should provide.
As we become adults and we exit survival mode, we first have to learn how to feel safe in our lives and in our own bodies. After that, our desire for the love, care, and nurturing that we didn’t receive as children emerges from deep within our hearts. First, we must reconcile with the fact that our childhood is not something we will get back. And second, that perhaps all this time, in order to protect ourselves from feeling the weight of the abandonment, we’ve adopted the notion that we were bad people and didn’t deserve love in the first place.
Learning and unlearning this has been a painful, painful, journey, and it’s one that I’m still on. I have the opportunity as an adult, to give my inner child everything she wants and needs, and even though my mind is putting up a fight, I’ll do anything to free her and make sure she knows she’s loved.
Omg, so crazy.. this is a coworker of mine who is a cancer... she may have seen me come one day without my mask which i love because, whew does it feel good to be seen. I dont think any of us genuinely want to hide or wear masks.. I feel we both have the effect on one another - awakening one another to certain aspects of being in the feminine although i am much more masculine than she is. I havent looked at it from the lens of her possesing something i am afraid of.. Accurate. My love and I both have Chiron in Cancer but ONE of us has been doing the work for years and the other is new to it. But, it’s been good for me to respect where people are 🤷🏾♀️. This is so about me and my Leo ex. I saw his cracks and pointed them out to him and he wasn’t ready. We reconnected this past summer after I left him 5 years ago. We saw eachother for a month and he asked for space, but he’s texted me a few times since then, saying he misses me and then pulling back and saying he’s still not ready.
