Morgans to me are the perfection of the horse. Not the Arabian. I love how extremely well proportioned they are, how refined with their beautiful arched necks and perfect shaped beautiful expresive heads... Who can doubt about them being perfect? Even their movement looks like a dream with their long tails and flowing manes. I can serenade on forever. Sad truth is, I will never own one unless I leave my country, so I dream of the Morgans I see here on internet. And who knows there is ever a chance to share own one abroad.

Modern or Traditional type, all Morgans are superior in my eyes. The only breed Ill ever own.

The morgan looks a lot like an Arabian and Spanish Mustang cross to me. Or maybe an Arabian - Mustang - Mustang cross. I don't think any of those so-called gaited long morgans should be called morgan ever. I like and back the original Morgan bloodline.

Indeed. Its so interesting to see how they can transform instantly just by putting a different skilled rider on them. The same horse can go from hyped up and sharp, to placid and forgiving in a split second.

Curious if there's any footage of Stonecroft Masquerade left? He was a 1991 stallion by Cedar Creek Harlequin out of Carillon Command.

I don't believe he is in our extensive library, however you can find a photo of Stonecroft Masquerade in google images. He also has Vigilmarch in his pedigree, who was a grandsire of one of our Morgans.

I think you would find the Morgan is one of the most versatile breeds on the planet, well suited to a wide arrange of activities and disciplines.

My family used to raise and breed Morgans before I was born. From what my mother has told me, as well as personal research, I can say that a good Morgan horse is a great find.

There is DNA evidence that says Figure was a Canadian horse and the description of him is the same as the Canadian horse.

And it was turned into a full fledged breed cultivated in the United States, specifically the state of Vermont.

DNA evidence cannot tell you where someone was born. Figure was foaled in West Springfield, MA. His dam and/or sire may have been from Canada, or came from Canadian stock. Please don’t spread misinformation. (I’m a genealogist.)
