    This is an answer to my question on the strawberry jam video. I do have another question using juice. Can you double the recipe as long as you double the sugar and pectin? Pomegranate jelly sounds good! ❤️

    • @DianeTheCanningNana

      🗝💜🤗 Yes! With Pomona's you can double with no worries about setting problems. I have Tripled Jam recipes with no problems. There is a chart on the instructions that gives you measurements for any amount of fruits!

    I meant to ask you, in the paperwork for Grape juice it has * then over in the "ingredients" it has * 1/4 cup lemon or lime juice. So does that mean I need to add that or NOT? Also when do I add if I need to? THANK YOU!

    • @DianeTheCanningNana
      @DianeTheCanningNana  Год назад +2

      Yes, add Lemon juice. 🍋 The lemon juice helps preserve the color from turning dark ( other than Concord) Not making it more acidic. I also add 1 Tablespoon of Butter to my Jams and Jellies to help with MUCH less foaming. I learned this many years in Food Preservation Classes I took at my local Extension just North of me. Great classes if you can find them at local colleges!
