Genetics of CAD and its Vaccine Potential (Robert Roberts, MD)

This lecture will describe the genetics of coronary artery disease and show how this can be used as a
polygenic risk factor to stratify CAD risk and identify those at high risk for primary prevention.
Objectives:
1. Provide a comprehensive coverage of the DNA risk variants predisposing to CAD
2. Evidence indicating HDL-C is not protective against CAD
3. Confirmation of short stature and blood groups A and B predispose to CAD
