(A bit) sadly I'm not an angler anymore, but I pop in now and then to see your skill, Davie - it's all completely extraordinary - I wish you a merry Christmas ahead, to you and your family.
Great fly Davie , superb tutorial as usual. I've fished it very successfully and had forgot about it. It's now on my horizon again. Thanks, stay safe Big Davie.
My pal fished them one day at Carron Valley on a wild day Davy,it was more Orangey if that's a word 😄 As usual so neat and tidy and all the info you need. That's just made my T.break ,thanks again Davy 👏 ✌ 👏 ✌
Many thanks Davie, the black version has caught me more fish than any other pattern in 2021 on small still waters. Down to size 16 at times. Such a great pattern! Definitely my go to! Hope you have a great Christmas and all the best for 2022.
Good afternoon Davie , as well as always seeing your useful videos to ask yourself if you already have any videos available for lake flies for this winter in Fly dry and wet form and that will fit all over Europe. Thank you.
Hi Pilgrin Falcon 68, I have many videos that you would find useful for the flies you want to tye so I have attached links to my playlist of the loch flies both for wet and dry for you to see..I hope this helps you.. All the very best Davie.. ruclips.net/video/SkAQPj5dIqM/видео.html ruclips.net/video/UweotWK1lKo/видео.html
Hi Chris, I have tied dries on the B175 though I would give the fly a few more turns of hackle to help just incase it doesn't stay up..I'm glad you liked the fly.. All the very best Davie..
I did enjoy it Davie... thank you. This Bob's Bits (ruclips.net/video/VxAeURW9YYo/видео.html) is the first seal fur fly I ever tied. Only had black seal's fur at the time... that was a trial learning to dub with it. I tied it small (14's, then 16's, then 18's) for mountain streams. They worked well as surface film flies. Have since tied them with lead or copper wire for weight and switched to Kamasan 175's, too. Thanks for the teaching of it, Davie... and the reminding. Mike
Hi David, I have always found claret to work when everything else seems not to although I would agree with you that this would tick a few boxes.. All the very best Davie...
Like that pattern and colors thx for sharing Davie

Thank you very much.
Excellent!
Excellent 👌
Bob’s bits works be it subtle n natural in your face fluorescent or any combination
Lovely fly Davie!! Would waste CDC work for the thorax on a B175? Worried about the weight.
ATB Chris.

Flies that don't look like much (North Country spiders?) are apt to catch fish. 👍
I did enjoy it Davie... thank you.

Super! 👍!
Love it
Really nice fly Davie. I’ve heard that a black version during the day and a claret one at night ticks a lot of boxes. Do you agree? Cheers
