Hi, my name is mark . I’ve been digging for 49 years since I was 3. Love your show. In case you didn’t know, I one episode you dug a glass “ goose egg” . I have dug them as well. They are actually used by farmers. They put them in chicken and duck / goose nests to encourage them to lay more eggs. Appreciate you guys . Keep on digging!!! Mark
Thanks brother man, I have heard that. Actually genius imo, I have also heard they were used as a sock darner for fixing holes. Thanks for the continued support brother man.
wow you truly have been digging all kinds of unique fruit jars with their enigmatic closures. The Simplex jar had its own unique and fully screw top glass lid-seal-cap. You did find the cap !!! TOtally awesome and worth some high $$$.
As soon as I get your box. I will be sending both of you a gift from Texas. Something to help you in the dog days of summer and freezing winters. With digging. So until then have a wonderful week and weekend. Make a memory with your kids.
i went bottle hunting all of the time in southeast va. mostly at low tide on some canals that ran through the area. i wore hip waders and could feel them under my feet in the mud . that was back in the 1970s into the 80s. fascinating hobby . i still have tubs of them. they hold a sentimental feeling for me . watching your videos takes me back. thank you.
Thank you yes that was a monster Bennington marble. I now have a blue and an orange one in that large size. Thank you for your continued support my friend.
Hey Trav and Cory ! You guys are awesome ! Great diggers, man. You sniff out the privy's like a hound dog! Thanks so much for taking me along, like I was there. Looking forward to every auction.
Our newly welded probes are the best we have ever had. Got a new welder who is great and does it exactly how we want. Very easy to feel in the ground when your equip is up to par. Thank you for your continued support brother
Thanks brother next we have a nice big stone liner and it seems deep so only time will tell. If it doesn’t rain today we will probably be digging it tomorrow. It’s a nicer yard so we want to wait till it’s completely dry again. Thanks for your continued support brother
Tammy thank you yes that was a monster and completely surprised the heck out of me. I love digging and learning about all the awesome history. Thank you for your continued support my Chickagoil.
That sure was a full pooper 😂. Darn egg 😂 yes apparently pretty hard to find in the large size as well. The violin in a George R West Patent 1891 and was a cologne bottle. In mint condition worth 500-1000
Thanks brother, these main street privys are what’s up. Definitely the wealthier families owned properties all along main street back in the 1800s. Thanks brother
Tony, thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed the digging adventure and finds. Next we have a big stone liner probed out just waiting for ground to dry up a bit, Thanks for your continued support
Appreciate that brother, I tried to keep you in the action this time with not a lot of dead footage. Took us 6 1/2 hours to dig that one and fill it. Thanks for your continued support brother
Charlie, thanks brother I found out it’s called a George R West patent 1891. It was a men’s cologne and collectors pay 500-1000 dollars in mint condition. Mine is in my personal collection where it will stay. Thanks for your continued support brother
I use cut copper from JarDoctor.com and fill the bottle half way with copper, add lukewarm water just above the copper, cover the opening and shake for about 30 seconds to a minute then just dump in a seine and rinse out.
Well that’s the way I made the video look brother. We only recorded the pockets but omg yes bottles laying thick in this shallow privy. It was only 4 1/2 ft to bottom but they couldn’t have fit to much more trash in that one. Thanks brother for your continued support.
I had so much fun with just watching you guys play in the dirt. I know its hard work for you but i sure enjoyed watching my first show with you. Happy digging.
Awesome, glad you enjoyed the digging adventures and finds. Many more to watch if you want to check out our tons of adventures. Thanks for your support my friend.
Half the battle is trying to find someone else you know that is interested in bottle digging, metal detecting,or magnet fishing etc. as much as you do to help out!! 🧲⛏🪙
Heck yeah brother, every yard sale I go past I’m looking for bottles and pottery on the tables or in boxes. Love to also go to Antique stores and estate sales. Thanks for your participation lastnight and your continued support brother.
Nothing easy about it except how we make it look brother 😂. The last 4 holes we probed and dig ended up being fill and no bottles. Lots of digging to get you guys the good stuff. Thanks for your continued support brother

Oh no! You guys might have missed a stopper I spotted after corey found that marble when Corey scoops it back with his hand looked like a biggen around 15:15 great video 👌
We very well could have, there was a lot of stuff in that privy. We had the sifter going when we wasn’t filming and it was dark when we filled the hole. We also left a pile of over 50 bottles out of the hole for local residents to take home. Thanks for your continued support brother
I thought you guys where going to dig up an old guy clutching a wine bottle cool dig guys hope to dig me a pipe bowl one day congrats and good luck my friends

That was an awesome privy dig. I think I'd be begging the homeowner to let me crawl around underneath the house. With that many bottles in the dookie hole, I'm sure theres been some good ones tossed underneath the house over the years.
Unfortunately the basement has been redone however they own an old brick building across the street and we have been given permission to search that basement and crawlspace. Future video brother man. Thanks for your continued support
Thanks brother man, appreciate you. Our next one could be epic or could be all broke but it’s a big stone liner right on Main Street still. Hopefully it’s just as loaded, thank you for your continued support brother.
One of my favorite finds was a green whisky, with a lady's-leg neck and beautiful etchings on the shoulder. One problem though a tree root was completely wrapped around it. We did cut it but it wasn't the main leader root. If you do cut a root to close to the trunk, and can kill a tree. I went back to that dump after40 years and the tree is still there!
The egg is a darning egg. You put your socks over it and sew the holes easier. I've dug dozens of them. All sizes. It's rare to did a huge one in tack.. nice dig guys.
Heck yeah that’s the word I like to hear. Rare 😂 those eggs are very cool only ever dug two, but they were within a week apart a week ago 😂. Love this hobby/career. Thank you for your continued support brother
I think you may of had an new outhouse that was dug through an existing old outhouse. Sometimes that is why you get an old and new bottle mix. Great stuff!
Yes that has happened a few times in our digging adventures and a very good idea as to why. Also when they would fill them in they would use whatever they had at that time. Usually more modern stuff we find on the top half or above the cap. Then under the cap nothing modern ever. Thanks for your continued support brother
Apparently they were multiple purpose use. The various sizes were used for different things including fooling laying hens, darning socks, and even killing snakes. Thanks for everyone’s info and continued support. 😊
Previous milk glass egg - most likely the same for using with chickens to keep the hen broody and sitting (and laying) eggs when you keep taking them from her). So they have a home farm with chickens on the lot.
This bigger milk glass egg would be from a turkey ? I can't think of any reason why someone would have milk glass, let alone colored glass eggs in those times - very expensive and unique item to make and sell
I know it's to late now but stick a roll of duct tape in with your digging tools. Wrap a wrap or two around those sharp ends of those chain link fence. It will save your hand and forearms from puncture wounds.
Very good idea and will be throwing a role in the bucket future encounters of the deadly fence 😂. Thanks guys it got Corey good a few times, I only got it once. Thanks for your continued support
Jude, unfortunately a good majority of the old houses are being torn down to make way for more modern marvels. We’re very fortunate to live around a good many old towns that still have some old remaining houses. Even a few1700s stone houses. Thank you for your continued support my friend
That’s not an ostrich egg, it’s a darning egg made of milk or opaline glass. The women used that form to darn socks that had developed heel and toe holes.
One heck of a privy y'all dug there. Too bad the wine bottles weren't embossed. Are most wine bottles slick? Keep up the good work you two. Take care and be safe.

I hope you don't think I'm being a knitpicker but for me, I'd like to see some better camera work. You guys do a lot of video's and the better the quality the more your viewers will enjoy your work and share. Fast camera movement, focus, bad audio due to holding and hitting the speaker, etc. I really like what you do so I don't want you to get upset. Thanks for what you do.
River, we appreciate the feedback brother and are trying to figure out a better solution for recording in confined spaces. Tripod is to big, go pro is to muffled, the iphones work great however we have the speaker issue. We’re gonna be switching to cordless mics soon but not sure if that will help with the speaker noise. Every dig is a work in progress and we’re constantly trying to better our quality. One day we will have all the nice stuff to make everything more crisp. Appreciate your feedback and continued support brother
@@CrickDiggersInc Travis- They make flexible tripods that you can wrap around a tree branch or in this case a root or fence. You should set up a link to Amazon to a wish list of tools or anything else you need for making the videos so your followers can help buy some of these items. One RUclipsr I follow has a dog in most of his videos and he's very popular. He set up a link to Amazon for his dog. People buy that dog all kinds of things like balls, treats that people pick out, and pay for then the items are shipped directly to the dog, or I should say to the owner, lol.
We were just talking about that today. We do need to create a wish list and we will start one soon. I have one of those tripods with the flexible legs but still hard to hear and any movement causes that same loud noise from the speakers. Always trying to be better, thank you for your continued support my friend.
My my visit was awesome 😎 😂, seriously though the New York trip was incredible. Had a blast, dug some awesome stuff. Thanks for your continued support my friend.
Privys are what they used as their bathroom or outhouse back then. They also used them as their trash disposal area. Everything was made of glass or pottery back then.
Great dig. Just a friendly suggestion. It is hard to hear what you are saying.I notice that you are face away from camera a lot when you ex plain things. Also jostling the camera and speaking makes it hard to understand what you are saying. I know it's hard to film and work at the same time. I'm no good at that so I leave it to you professionals. Lol. Other than sound quality, I am enjoying this channel a lot.
We appreciate the feedback Laura and are working on getting some wireless mics. Also looking into a nice video setup : we only use our iPhones and I’m still teaching Corey how to hold when he records. This was a lot tighter digging then what we usually do so I was shoving my phone through the roots and underground so you could see firsthand what it looked like. Hopefully one day we will be able to afford some nicer video equipment but it’s always a learning process. Thank you for your continued support my friend.
As you both are Christians, being bottle diggers would you rather dig a Christian homes privy or a Sinners home privy? ROFL, which one would have the most valuable bottles? hmmm....
Debbie, that’s a odd question and me and Corey had to think about it for awhile before answering. I don’t think bottles have a sinner and Christian difference. Believe it or not we dig more whiskeys and alcohol bottles in church privys then regular yards. Holy waters are big money and don’t find them very often so that might be a plus, However depending on the sin, it could benefit us 😂. Say a greedy person that wanted all the best stuff and no one else to get it, so they throw it in there crapper before they die. That is the one we’re after 😜
@@CrickDiggersInc Yes I know it was a odd question, but I honestly wonder what the answer would be. Myself I think the liquor bottles have more of a chance to be marked so my thinking I want the drinkers.

I have one of those tripods with the flexible legs but still hard to hear and any movement causes that same loud noise from the speakers. Always trying to be better, thank you for your continued support my friend.
How was ur my visit ?
My my visit was awesome 😎 😂, seriously though the New York trip was incredible. Had a blast, dug some awesome stuff. Thanks for your continued support my friend.
Is this a place people took a dump 150 years ago?
That is exactly what it is. 😊
What are privies? I’ve heard of bottle dumps but not privies
Privys are what they used as their bathroom or outhouse back then. They also used them as their trash disposal area. Everything was made of glass or pottery back then.
@@CrickDiggersInc Thanks for the info.

ROFL, which one would have the most valuable bottles? hmmm....
We want to dig holes with lots of old bottles....Be thy sinners or saints!! We don’t discriminate :)
