We couldn't believe the pit was THAT old still being on such a "new" Sanborn map. We think maybe the structure had been used as a storage shed of sorts after they got indoor plumbing, and it was no longer needed as an actual outhouse. Thanks for watching man!
Be sure to check out "part 2" when you finish this one. We manage to get some nice ones fully intact and/or with very miniscule damage. Was still the oldest and "best" pit we have dug to date!
Shane, Wonderful video!!! This pit so far has been a crier. So many bottles that could have been stunning. I like hearing the joy in your voices as you guys dig for that whole bottle and then the dissapointment when you turn the bottle over and the corner is missing. I hope you find whole bottles as you continue digging.
@@ParlorCityPickersDiggers I can't wait to see it, definitely looking forward to see it. Seems like Parlor City and Time Travelers are the pontil diggers.
@@debraporch7888 We try our best! Lately have been focusing on the oldest towns and houses we can find. We can dig 1890s-1900s stuff all day long, but trying to get the early stuff!
Coming over from FB. Awesome hole! I’ve gotten on 2 different Pontil holes this month without a solid bottle… ready for part 2 so I can live through y’all 😂
Thanks for watching man! It hurts seeing the good stuff broken!! Just a numbers game. Gotta keep on keeping on and dig as many pits as you can. Wish you luck on the next one!
Man it really was. Still a great time and just awesome to be digging in that type of age. Doesn't happen every day! We get some more whole ones in part 2
We managed to get some thankfully! You'll see when part 2 comes out in the next week or so. Man this pit was a fun one, but some total criers for sure!
I once dug a hole here in New Zealand with 7 Townsends . One was a beautiful dark teal which is a stunner but really I love them all and never get sick of digging them.
Hope you all enjoyed the video! Be sure to check out part 2! Here is the link below:

Jeez! I would've been happy with just this one LOL
WOW!!... those bottles are older than the European history of my country (New Zealand)
We got some really early stuff out of this pit! The oldest one we have ever dug. Almost getting into the 1700s!
I dont feel so bad , the last privy i dug , not one whole bottle , and all the good ones broken
Thats how it goes sometimes!
😊❤
Thanks for watching!
Man you guys breaking all the bottles easy goes it...
We didn't break anything that wasn't already broken
Absolutely cursed torture hole. Just like my ex wife
@kurtcarson8911 Hahahahahaha omg 🤣
Saying Gods name in vain like that, I I was God I wouldn't give you any nice bottles either.
Good point 🤷♂️
Broken bottles sell for half price on the internet resales.
I wish! Some of the extremely rare and early bottles can still have value when broken, but no where near 50% of original cost. More like 10% or less
