I loved the bed in the corner. It made such sense as in the winter it was cold and lighting two fires in the house was not always possible, the turf might run out. Also great for the any one who was ill as it kept them close. I know that the enclosed stoves are safer and don't smell as open fires do, but I love the smell of turf burning and the poking of the ashes as sparks fly up.
