Location: Sitio Bangkal, Barangay San Juan, Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro
A private island with white sand beaches, clear water and sand bar. The main jump off point to the island is Bangkal Staging Point. The locals are very friendly and the area is safe.
Parking (for a fee) for private vehicles is available near the staging area. Whole day parking fee for a 4-wheeled vehicle is 25.00 while for 2-wheeled vehicle is 10.00. Registration fee is paid at the staging point for 25.00 per head.
Boat ride from Bangkal to Suguicay Island is approximately 20 minutes for 1,300.00 round trip, good for 10 persons. The boat will not stay and wait in the island. They will return to Bangkal and do multiple trips in a day. Make sure get the mobile number of the boat captain and let him know what time you want to be picked up.
There are other islands in the Bulalacao area. These are Buyayao, Tambaron, Maasin, Liwagao, Karambingan, Aslom and Target. Boat captains can ferry you to these other islands for a fee.
There are sari-sari stores in the island. Bathrooms are available, but the water is a bit salty. No fresh water, make sure to bring plenty of water for drinking and for bathing.
Cottages for day trips and Kubo for overnight stay are available. Keep in mind that power on the island is scheduled and are from electric generators and solar panels. Bring your battery-powered fans and power banks.
Snorkel, googles, life jackets and kayaks are also available for rent.
How to go there from Metro Manila:
    By Private Vehicle
    - take SLEX and STAR to Batangas Port for the RoRo ship going to Calapan, Oriental Mindoro. Ship travel time is 2 to 3 hours, depending on the speed of the ship you're on.
    - pay the Arrastre fee at the port entrance. The car (driver ride for free) and passenger fee is paid to the RoRo ship personnel.
    - from Calapan Port, drive all the way to Bulalacao. Barangay San Juan is close to Bulalacao's RoRo Port.
    By Public Transportation
    - Partas Bus in Pasay City, RoRo Bus and Ceres in Marikina City ply the NCR to Calapan, Oriental Mindoro via Batangas Port daily. Boat fare is already included in the bus fare.
    - from Calapan, look for vans plying the Calapan to San Jose, Occidental Mindoro route. This will pass through Barangay San Juan. Inform the driver that your stop is at Barangay San Juan going to Bangkal.
    By Plane
    - book a flight either to San Jose in Occidental Mindoro or Calapan in Oriental Mindoro. San Jose is 2 to 3 hours to Bulalacao than Calapan, which would take 4 to 5 hours of overland travel. Take a van that will pass Bulalacao. If you're coming from San Jose, take the San Jose to Calapan van. If you're coming from Calapan, take the Calapan to San Jose van.
