It's great that there are those adding CPL content to RUclips, but it would also be nice if they had their facts right. The comments regarding York United are very inaccurate. York 9 WAS founded to represent the nine regional municipalities of the York region, but the Club quickly realized this was a mistake, and underwent a complete rebrand for the third CPL season. York United was created to very much include Toronto into the fold - one of the previous alternate team logos even has the CN Tower in it. The club's official colours include "Lake Ontario Blue", and the new crest was inspired by the Queen's York Rangers (Fort York, Toronto). In the new team identity, York now directly refers to Toronto's historical name of York. Having a stadium in Markham would completely counter what the team has become. Moving to Lamport Stadium - a stone's throw from BMO Field - would make far more sense, but the real hope is for the proposed stadium at Woodbine.
Agree. CPL's website literally lists York United as representing the 'Greater Toronto Area'. Woodbine and Lamport would both be much better locations than Markham.
There was no mention to a NB club. Moncton has a stadium ready for action and would draw from the entire province. PS: Thanks for including St, John's (which is pronounced: SINjawhns
If you split into conferences you lose the biggest rivalries in the league. And as a Forge Fan from Kitchener, I am really hoping for a team in town to save that hour drive.
Well, CPL Commissioner Mark Noonan has stated that the league will split into east and west divisions as it grows, so it's an inevitability at this point.
I think If we're adding 2 more teams to Ontario then York should relocate somewhere in Quebec, Trois-Rivieres and Sherbrooke are good ideas, as stated it's the second most populated province so it should have more than one team. I also feel like if we're gonna go as north as St.John's we might as well try Yellowknife in the west, it's ambitious but that's why it's great, having at least one team representing the nothern regions. Some other things are that if alberta and SK are going to have 2 teams, we might as well give a second one to manitoba, and for Ontario Kingston is another good option. Lastly it would be nice to see a team in mocton to complete the atlantic regions, but that might as well lead to a whole new idea of having even more divisions with 20-32 teams: Atlantic, Eastern, Midlands, Western/Pacific. That's all
These aee the team names I came up with... Kelowna KODIAKS, Edmonton DRILLERS, Regina GREY WOLVES, Saskatoon CARIBOU, Kitchener AVIATORS or TWIN CITIES BREWERS, (TCB- Take Care of Business) London WEREWOLVES, Quebec City BULLDOGS or ROYALS, St. John's NAVIGATORS,
I appreciate that you suggest putting a team in both Saskatoon and Regina, but I highly doubt that would ever happen. Because Saskatchewan's population is so small, pro teams here try to appeal to the province as a whole (hence why the Roughriders, Rattlers and Rush all use Saskatchewan in their name rather than the cities they are located in). Personally, I think the ownership group that is trying to bring the CPL to Saskatoon should just relocate to Regina and use the existing stadium. Yes, it would only attract a fraction of the total capacity, but that is the same story in Winnipeg, Hamilton, and Ottawa, which all use CFL stadiums. I think the Saskatchewan ownership group is shooting themselves in the foot by insisting the home of the team be in Saskatoon rather than Regina, which has a stadium right there and ready to use. It would work out perfectly with Saskatoon having the basketball and lacrosse teams and Regina having the football and football teams.
I believe Moncton would be a great place for à New team. They have been attempting to come up with idées about how to host à CFL team there for the past few years so why not a CPL team, which doesnt réquire as much work to set up as a CFL team would. There is already a stadium that would fit à CPL team but it is not large enough for à CFL team. They would be a perfect addition.
It would be great if you can make some content about the dates when this teams are gonna start sompting in the CPL and also about the tryouts for this new teams and also for the ones that already exist with info about the price and every charge every cost it might include, how make the payment for the tryouts and if there is an age limit, If you make this you will become the hero about cpl content
Maybe the relocation suggestion doesn’t need to happen. Maybe the CPL need to start developing the tried and tested triangle. If the CPL created a Div 1 & 2 league. Maybe York move to York but in a divisions. Then we can start the promotion and relegation game. It would force clubs to invest in their clubs to ensure their survival in the Premier League (of the original 8 teams). The world views the stupid approach of the MLS of no relegations. So if Canada adopted the platform that is used around the world we would be ahead of the game.
St. John's has a stadium. King George V Park has a field turf surface and seats 10000 normally but can be expanded to 13000 when needed. A second FIFA - quality pitch is being build for the 2025 Canada games. Soccer is an incredibly popular youth sport in Newfoundland.

Should have given? To who? You need owners that are willing to put up millions of dollars to do so and these places don't have that. I'm certain all these places would be considered if there was an ownership group available. Maybe we should start ask8ng why Canadian Hollywood superstars like Ryan Reynolds want to invest in clubs like Wrexham instead of areas in their own country. Can you imagine if Hollywood stars starting clubs in the CPL? The money to start a club would be loose change in the golf shorts for these actors and celebrities

Who knows how can I apply canadian football teams especially Vancouver ?
I would like to have atleast 1 club in EVERY province before moving into some other important cities of provinces who already have a club.
The PEI market is too small.
How does the CPL draft work for players who are trying to join ?
I feel like Vancouver should move to kamploops
Why do you say SASkatoon? It's SaskaTOON.
Sorry but having divisions makes it a bad league/concept. Single table is the best
